Barely functional. Why, Holland America, why?

One of the worst apps I’ve ever used. The actual app features rarely work, giving random error messages, and many of the features that you think would be in the app actually just open a website—which may or may not work! Be prepared to login again and again! How fun!

Holland America really needs to do better, because this app is the worst part of an otherwise exceptional cruise experience

This app just sucks!

Can we please get some qualified app developers please? This app feels like a high school project gone wrong. Nothing intuitive or pleasant about it at all. It’s not only useless, it’s taking up precious resources on my phone that could be dedicated to an app that really is beneficial! Either make it really work or stop pretending and just get rid of it! It’s annoying!

Don’t expect it to work

Have been on multiple cruises and rarely does the app actually work. It’s the biggest problem I have with Holland America. Everything else is great but the app is unreliable

Useless app

This app is practically useless. You view the daily activities and try to add them to your itinerary but they don’t add.

The year 1995 came to this app

This app looks like IT was coded in the 90s other than the photos. Not intuitive, not easy to use and customers are clearly not the center of their digital footprint. How does it look like its rating is over 4.5 stars? I’m not buying it.

Great app on one device

This works really well if you use their WiFi and just use one device . You can turn off on one device and open on another , but I typically had issues doing that. If you want to use your iPad and your phone (example) I’d suggest getting the more expensive multiple device WiFi package .

Not Useful

While on board I was unable to login and connect (even though the phone was connected to the ship WiFi) more than 50% of the time making the app less useful. I guess they prioritise WiFi paying passengers. Sometimes the app didn’t even seem to know what ship I was on so I couldn’t even use it in anonymous most.

Can’t plan

I’m unable to create my itinerary Every time I select something from the daily program, I get an error message that tells me “something went wrong “ and “to try later”!

Looks great!

Love the new look and feel. Functionally it works better and really love the images/content.

Very Poor Design

As a college professor who started teaching commercial web design and development in the late 1980’s I would give the “updated” Navigator an “F”. It doesn’t work on Apple tablets nor my iPhone 17 Pro. Previous version worked on all my devices. Tried multiple browsers and only one that worked was Edge on my desktop. No way to access the “wallet” for boarding pass on tablet or iPhone. Basically, after exiting app and attempting to reopen on iPhone and tablet I could not enter user name or password. New Navigator appears to have been developed by amateurs.

Ended up having to print cruise documents. HAL, please go back to previous version and hire some professional designers/developers.

Worst App

Worst app ever, always drops the username and pw
And the wif.

Too slow to navigate. Horribly unorganized and over complicated. This app is I would not sail on Holland again. Check out Norwegian or anyone else. Fix the app!

Meh

This ap is mediocre at best. You would think Holland would have something much better.

Garbage App

I don’t know who is rating this app above 3 stars?!
Are you even using the app??
You can’t do a thing with it.
I can’t even make a dinner reservation.
The chat is worthless.
I’m signed in.
On my phone.
And the continues to ask me for the BOOKING NUMBER?!?!?!
Are you kidding me?
Do you want some constructive feedback?
Have the app download the week onto your phone.
Then, when you are at sea, with no WiFi or signal, it’s still works. Do you see where we are going here? It’s called making the app useful.
Finished my weeklong cruise and the app had no value whatsoever.
It’s worthless. Just use the TV and phone in your room. Welcome to 1996.

Like the Updated App

The updated Holland American app was an excellent redesigned which makes managing your cruise experience easier. A more logical layout for using the app.

Horrible UI

Needs some serious re-mapping of app features. I want to see my booking and who I’m traveling with (who’s in my room) from the home page. I would also like the ability manage a family member’s booking, so some sort of linking of bookings would be helpful. The whole experience has been so awful, I will never travel on Holland ever again. I want to get on the app, so what I need and then get out. Not hunt and search and still not have the info I need at my fingertips. Had trouble booking excursions for our group of 10 travelers (5 cabins). Had to book and pay for each room one by one. It let me add people to my excursion booking but did not properly add all participants to the reservation/cart.

Awful app experience

The app continually logs me out and it’s a pain to log back in .

Buggy AF

Can't log in when connected to ship wifi. Can log in when i have LTE, but when i connect to ship wifi, it boots me out. Please fix your app. :) also, cruise has no matcha but every canadian port does. let's catch up to the times my friends

Know Your Audience

Considering most of the people cruising and using the Navigator App are over age 50, why would you make the font so faint? I could barely read what I typed when I was trying to log in.

One of the worst apps

The worst app of all cruise lines. Low grade app developed with cheap rupees.

Absolutely Horrible APP

Worst User Interface I’ve experienced in years. Pure Frustration!
HAL should be totally ashamed of this POS.
