Slower than web interface and randomly crashes

The entire home assistant system can only be described as the best of a (very) bad lot.
Every update just brings a different set of bugs, usually without fixing anything meaningful.

Always making improvements itâs really a great ecosystem
Internal/external IP issue
For those that donât leave location services enabled or donât want to give location permission to everything, please allow a simple manual switch from internal to external IP or implement a simple failover, if internal doesnât work try external before fail.
App doesnât pick correct internal/external state without location services.

Fails to connect to my green
I can connect via browser from my phone but not from the app on my phone. No option to manually enter address just sits there counting down from 60 after failure.

Invasive permissions
Requires always on location to use internal url. If you donât give it access to your location 24/7, it will only connect using the external url. Which is slow.
Steep learning curve for 86yr old! đ

AprĂšs environ 5 ans de Jeedom, j'ai tentĂ© l'aventure Home Assistant en bravant tous ceux qui estimaient que les automatisations de H.A. n'Ă©taient pas Ă la hauteur. Alors oui, il faut oublier ses repĂšres et en crĂ©er d'autres, mais aujourd'hui l'expĂ©rience est plus que positive ! J'avais conservĂ© les 2 systĂšmes actifs pendant un moment, mais maintenant plus question de revenir en arriĂšre. Les Ă©volutions sont constantes, trĂšs frĂ©quentes avec Home Assistant, avec des dĂ©veloppeurs Ă l'Ă©coute et un systĂšme qui s'amĂ©liore sans jamais ralentir. Les dashboards sont trĂšs faciles Ă mettre en place et superbes. Point qui m'a sĂ©duit fortement : la qualitĂ© des Ă©changes sur les forums et des tutos. Fini les forums oĂč un "membre de Jeedom" vous rĂ©pond avec suffisance "lisez la documentation, tout est dedans ! ". Oui sans doute, mais un p'tit coup de main est parfois nĂ©cessaire... Que vous demarriez de zĂ©ro ou avec quelques expĂ©riences sur Jeedom par exemple, n'hĂ©sitez plus : foncez !! Le jeu en vaut vraiment la chandelle !

Cannot connect
I appreciate that this is a free app. Having said that, it should be able to connect and maintain a connection to Home Assistant. This has never worked reliably and the worst is that now it just goes into a death spiral of retries with literally no other controls on the screen to get it out of this endless cycle.

Widget customisation still poor
Simple widget, open/closed door sensor. The most important part âopen/closedâ isnât customisable and is smallest part of the widget. Dynamic colour change would be nice please. The rest of the app is great! Only 3 stars because when everything is running ok I hardly ever open the app, widgets should be the first line of alert.
