It is difficult to see how any installation process of a sophisticated system such as this could be made any simpler. The app takes you through every step and explains all possible error conditions. I must Arte piece of software for an excellent hardware system.
Lost all customised device names
I’ve spent ages typing all the device names for the connected clients, now this update has lost them all and just says Generic Device. Really unhelpful.
Also the Devolo Magic 2 devices have a habit of rebooting randomly and causing connection loss. No firmware updates for a couple of years.

Not optimised for iPad, Samsung Tablet, or phone.
Unable to select feature using an iPad, or Samsung phone/tablet. AI assistant could not help.

Mit der App funktioniert weder die Firmwareaktualisierung (3x versucht, 0x geklappt), noch funktioniert das Pairing. LED leuchtet durchgehend rot, keinerlei Hilfestellung hierbei. Selbst nach 10 min, keine Funktion. Viel Geld für so einen Schrott!

Moin allerseits, ich verstehe Eure Probleme nicht, warum läuft es bei Euch nicht, bei mir zeigt er alles an und gibt mir auch alle Detail `s. Vielleicht solltet Ihr mal an eurer Einstellung nachsehen woran das liegen kann, das Program läuft Über Mac IOS sowohl auch über iPhone und sogar über mein Mac air. Ich hatte zuvor Windows PC und Android Handy, da lief es auch ohne Probleme.

Why do they make it so hard?
The instruction manuals for devolo kit are useless once the modules don’t immediately spring into life correctly. This has long been an irritant so it is no surprise, regrettably, that trying to fix things via the app is also a complete pain in the youknowwhat.

A peine connecté on me demande un avis après m’avoir extorqué l’accès à mes données.M et avant même que j’ai pu me connecter aa mes appareils. Dark patern ((faites une recherche si vous ne connaissez pas) sans même faire semblant.

Der Mehrwert der App ist gefühlt null. Die Installation geht auch ohne App, ein Handbuch reicht. Warum man auch noch Standortfreigabe und Benachrichtigungen aktivieren muss, ist nicht nachvollziehbar. Dient eigentlich nur der Datensammlung für den Anbieter und um nervige Nachrichten zu schicken. Kurzum, ohne App geht die Einrichtung genauso schnell

Devolo base periodically fails
Need to unplug it every few days to restart it. When up it works but not reliable.
Pas facile d’accès et manque d’options de base…
En tant que designer, l’interface n’est franchement pas intuitive. De plus des options simple comme le partage du mdp wifi par qrcode ou pire encore, la possibilité d’activer ou désactiver le wifi est absent..! La base pourtant… bref, encore une applie pour des Geek développée par des Geek…. Dommage.

Perfekte Inbetriebnahme!
Die Installation des Devolo-HomeKits gestaltete sich einfach und war RuckZuck erledigt: SSID und WLAN-Kennwort des bestehenden AVM-WLANs eingeben alle Endgeräte wurden im MERSH erkannt / versorgt. Super!!!

Where’s the device/node affinity?
Computers on my network can only use printers and scanners connected to the same mesh nodes. But with no way to set an affinities for those devices, they almost never connect with each other. And because there’s no way to adjust the power output of each node, I cannot adjust the WiFi overlap to compensate. These features are not futuristic. They’ve been available in WiFi nodes for decades now. I don’t understand why they’re not obvious inclusions for these products.
