We use this app to screen couriers and open the gate remotely in a 5 unit building. The app takes 12 seconds to respond to a visitor ringing the doorbell. Add 10 seconds to get your phone out and answer it and the delivery driver is gone and you have missed your parcel. It needs to be faster otherwise it is just a waste of money.

Neat concept but poor implementation
Poor reliability, poor recording performance
This thing works well.
I bought this item for my mother, once her kitchen caught fire and regular smoke alarm failed to trigger, so I bought this as backup. This smoke detector warns me regardless of where I’m in the world then I could reach out to her helper etc!
it was great not no more
i did a factory reset on the doorbell and now it wont connect to the app but it does connect to apple home app and it says can’t connect to netatmo server so its a 1 star vote from me, i am disappointed
Awful support
I have been a loyal Netatmo customer for many years and have invested heavily in their ecosystem, which makes this experience even more disappointing.
A recent setup issue — which ultimately turned out to be a fault on Netatmo’s side — wasted several days of my time trying to configure a system that simply could not work correctly. What is most frustrating is that it took Netatmo nearly three weeks to identify and resolve the problem, during which communication was poor and reassurance minimal.
At no point was there a meaningful apology or clear ownership of the disruption caused to customers. For a premium smart-home brand, the level of customer support and transparency fell far below expectations.
While the products themselves can be good when working properly, the support experience has seriously damaged my confidence in the company. Existing customers deserve far better communication, faster escalation of known issues, and proper accountability when failures occur.

Not worth any stars, this device is totally useless for security, fails to pick up almost anything happening on driveway or outside front door, does occasionally pick up random passer by. Thumbnails and videos no longer work since update. Almost unusable even as a doorbell as pick up or cancellation on phone doesn’t work reliably.

Bad first time experience
Ive just bought a Netatmo ‘Smart Smoke Alarm’ and the App says ‘connecting’ for around 20 minutes but then fails with Cannot Connect to Netatmo Server. Tries three times!

Une application de haut niveau. Mises à jour en temps utile et fonctionne très bien. Je recommande car aussi un super service après vente!
Par contre depuis quelques temps, des difficultés pour installer une caméra (exp welcome car ça bloque sur iOS une fois scanné le code HomeKit. Tourne en boucle et ne s’affiche pas dans Security

I have 4 cameras, and I consider them the worst purchase of this type I've ever made. The cameras are constantly causing problems—communication issues—and the lack of an intuitive interface for configuring rooms is a disaster. I don't recommend them. I have another Chinese one, no problems.

Associée au visiophone bitcino 600 il faut toujours un temps de réaction particulièrement long entre la sonnerie de porte et la connexion vidéo sur smartphone ou sur le visiophone. Qualité de l’image vraiment médiocre.

Inconvenient, confusing and no support at all
This app is no longer working with bticino indoor unit. It keeps saying “out of range” even when I’m home. Calling option doesn’t work anymore.

Keine Einbindung und Inbetriebnahme von neuer Außen Kamera über App möglich
Ich habe seit Jahren viele Netatmo Produkte im Einsatz, Wetterstation und auch 2 Presence Außenkameras. Da eine der Kameras nach 6 Jahren einen Hardware-Defekt hat und die LED Leuchten defekt sind, kaufte ich mir als Ersatz eine neue smarte Außenkamera. Nun probiere ich schon insgesamt ca. 10 Stunden an mehreren Tagen, diese Kamera mittels Netatmo App Version 26.3.1 auf einem iPhone 15 pro mit iOS 26.4 zum Laufen zu bekommen. Ich habe alles mehrfach versucht, App gelöscht, Router nur auf 2,4 ghz gestellt, Kamera mehrfach resetet usw. Sie lässt sich im Homekit einbinden mit dem 2. beigelegten Code, ich habe auch Zugriff auf das Livebild über Apple Home, in die Netatmo App lässt sie sich einfach nicht einbinden, der Einrichtungsprozess läuft bei „Einrichten des Zubehörs….dies kann einige Sekunden dauern“ mit drehendem Kreisel stundenlang weiter und nichts passiert. Meine 1. Presence Kamera, die immer noch montiert ist, läuft mit der App am gleichen Router problemlos. Ticket beim Support ist eröffnet, aber man hört nichts mehr und die Kamera ist aktuell ein Briefbeschwerer ohne Nutzen. Toll für knapp 300€…. Ich kann diese nur noch zurücksenden, sollte das Problem nicht in 2 Tagen behoben sein. Sehr ärgerlich und keine gute Experience
