Misleading
Makes it seem like basic things are free but when you try to clock in from the app it’s locked behind a paywall. This has to be a joke. You can’t even clock in for free. So the free plan is useless. And of course you don’t find this out until the very end after you’ve wasted time setting it up.
Constant “Loading” Screen When Returning From Closing App
I’ve seen at least one other reviewer mention this. For the past couple of months, there has been an issue in which the app gets stuck in a perpetual “Loading” screen if you close the app while still logged in. The issue does not occur if you log out before closing. Support is virtually useless, as I contacted and was told I would have to contact my manager to then contact Homebase to resolve the issue. Really? The Homebase support team’s response on the other review about this indicated that this issue had not been reported previously which, of course, is not true considering I did just that as I mentioned here.

Tries to force push notifications
App consistently opens a window asking you to update push notifications on startup. You have to opt OUT of them. Trash. Give me a “do not show this message again” box. I don’t want push notifications from my job. Deleting this app and forcing my boss to send me my schedule now over email. Do better
Would not recommend
This is a frustrating and buggy product. When we were deciding whether or not to purchase this software for our team, we were promised a bunch of features by the sales rep. After we signed up, those features have never been delivered. Basic things like calendar syncing and time reports we are now told are impossible. Would suggest going with a different product.

Great app but needs some work
Homebase is genuinely a good place to avoid scheduling conflicts for work but it takes forever to load into the app. Surprised this issue hasn’t been addressed yet, considering the countless reviews about it.

Great for team communication TERRIBLE for tax reporting!
I own a business with approximately 45 employees. In our state our Workers Compensation reporting is done at the beginning of the quarter. Even after our CPA explained this to, Homebase doesn’t file the reports correctly or pay the withholdings on time. Ever. We have contacted them over and over and they will not let us talk to anyone in the “Tax” department. We have now received several collection letters. We have had to double pay the withholding just to get it taken care of and when reporting the issue to Homebase they tell us we will have to ask for the refund from the State even though they still hadn’t paid the overdue payment. We are switching payroll companies this month.

Cash advance
This app works as a basic scheduling app but it has a cash advance thing where you can take some of your paycheck out before you get paid. The problem is that at a certain point, when verifying your identity, you can’t actually go any further. It prompts you to fill in the email slot when there’s no slot for the email in the first place. How the hell does that work.

Eternal loading screen, can’t even look at my schedule anymore
For the past few weeks, Homebase has been stuck on an eternal loading screen. I’ve updated it, shut down my phone, and force quit the app, but nothing works or helps. My coworkers and I also can’t even clock in on time through Homebase (what we use to clock in on the registers) because it takes between 3 — 5 minutes to completely the clock-in. This app is entirely unusable.

Needs dark mode
I have sensitive eye and it would help if I could put dark mode on the white can be painful sometimes but otherwise great app for work I can get all the things I need for work in one place.
