I spent hours tearing my hair out, trying to make this app and device work without any success. Files to connect to Wi-Fi. Fails to connect to the machine. Device is constantly off-line. Not worth a headache. Buying a broom instead.
Always unlearns my zones
the app is easy to use and works great when it works but it always gets rid of my set zones on the map. it’s very annoying as i go to make the vacuum clean a certain area and i can’t. please fix.
Works great… until it doesn’t
The interface is nice, it’s easy to use and to learn. HOWEVER it stops recognising my vacuum every couple of weeks. I need to manually add it again which often takes 10-20 minutes and involves disconnecting and reconnecting to wifi, manually entering(!) the wifi name and password, turning the vacuum off and on again, and sometimes even deleting and reinstalling the app. It’s a real pain and immensely frustrating. If the app would just remember my vacuum, it would be great.

Wifi connection issues
Hoover Ranger will not reset after outage - have the latest App but no problem solving help - hours spent trying to do a wifi reconnect but no luck - $500 of junk if it cannot work
Unreliable
Have had the app going on a couple of years and on multiple occasions it resets the map and the vacuum has to remap the entire house. Or it will be offline for some reason and not work at all, meant to be convenient but has taken up so much of my time trying to fix issues.
Maybe we need an update for the app considering the last update was 1 year ago 🙄
Love Hoover, the products are great but this app doesn’t match the Hoover quality. Very disappointing.

DOESNT work.
When signing up, it’s asks for your country code which you select. Then you enter your phone number and password and press enter and it’ll say ‘input can’t be empty’. The only thing I left empty was the verification code which was never sent to me, no option to resend or anything. Doesn’t work now I can’t use my vacuum cleaner thanks 🤦

Lost connection and refuses to rebind
Suddenly lost connection to the robot after having no issues for nearly a month. Have tried repeatedly to rebind and it fails to do so . Unless tech support can fix the issue for me will be going for a refund
Wifi password limit is archaic
Why is there a limit on the length of the wifi password? It appears to be around the 30 to 32 character mark. Surely this limit can be increased so that long complex passwords can be supported?
Keeps going offline, doesn’t hold charge
Keeps going offline and now won’t go back online despite trying all of the advice. Doesn’t hold charge, only enough for one room at a time.

App wont open
Now the app just won’t open at all. Looking at the reviews this seems to be a pretty average app and I’m pretty sure no one is actually reading the feedback. Will be contacting the retailer to see if I can exchange the robot I think.
Not loading map
As with the other reviews, I am also having an issue with the map displaying. We only bought the machine yesterday and I still haven’t fully finished setting map areas before the maps completely disappeared from view. I’ve tired quitting the app, logging out, etc and nothing is working. A fix would be appreciated!

Saving several plans would be good
Got connected to wi-fi eventually and seems to be working properly. The initial scan of the whole house missed some rooms, so it would be good if the app could store several plans, so you could more easily set cleaning zones without the robot doing new scans all the time.
Ranger will no longer connect
Since the last update my my ranger started to play up and now no longer connect to the Wi-Fi I’ve tried resetting and it just will not binds the connection no matter what I do is there a way to roll back to the last version of the app or a version that at least worked
Problem with Cleaning Plan Missing
I noticed that my cleaning plan on the app is missing but the robot is still following the plan.
I don’t want to have to redo my zones by reinstalling, any suggestions would help.

Can’t see Cleaning Plan, app is causing problems
Sort this App out. No end of problems. Robot constantly losing it’s place and have to remap everything. Was hopeful with the update that some things might have improved but now can’t even see the cleaning plan. It’s still trying to follow it but because it lost it’s map and has had to remap everything again it doesn’t know where it’s going!!!! Fix it please!!!!

Frustrating
First month, all good. Ever since, robot goes offline, decides to have a sleep and now, my map has turned 90&180 degrees. Starting to do my head in. Please fix as it’s not too bad overall.
Update: since the update, I can no longer view, change or set up a cleaning plan. Not much of an update or bug fix is it?

Much better designed apps and units out there for this price
Got one of these as Christmas present - setup as per manual. Was doing an ok job cleaning after Christmas lunch then mid-cycle went offline. Have since been unable to reconnect to wifi, despite numerous attempts. Don’t waste your time - Hoover brand is a has-been in the vacuum cleaner market.
Wifi Nightmare
The vacuum itself seems to be pretty good but OMG the control app is appalling. Works well for a few days then drops into offline mode. Only way to correct this WAS to delete and reboot everything and re-enter wifi password. A few days later, repeat process. Now that procedure doesn’t work anymore. I’ve followed all instructions from manual and (very limited) telephone/online support to a T. Now I can’t reconnect at all. I give up. Spent many frustrated hours trying to get this thing to work, way more time than it would take to manually vacuum. Time to get my money back. Sigh.

Works well if you know the tricks.
This app was so frustrating at first. Difficulty connecting, having to reconnect daily. Losing connection again. Until I deleted the Robot profile and installed it on my iPhone, rather than iPad. What a difference! Connection was faster, lasted longer and is a breeze to reset if you need to turn off the bot for maintenance and cleaning. So two tips. 1. If it fails to connect. Delete the profile in My Robot. Start a new one. It will still retain your Zones and history 2. Don’t even try managing your Bot on an iPad. Use a smart phone, which I would assume is what the software was developed for.
