App Sent My Order to the Wrong Location!
I had a terrible experience ordering through the Huddle House app. I selected the Wetumpka, AL location and went there to pick up my food. After waiting and going inside, an employee looked at my phone and told me that my order had somehow been sent to the Hueytown, AL location instead which is about 1 hour and 45 minutes away.
I tried to cancel the order through the app and get a refund, but I couldn’t. I had to call the Hueytown restaurant myself and explain the situation. My order was still marked as “Completed” even though I never received any food.
I also contacted support, only to find out that I had reached the company that handles Huddle House’s rewards program. They forwarded my issue to Huddle House, but I’m still trying to get my $33.91 refunded.
An ordering app should not send a customer’s order to a completely different restaurant nearly two hours away after they selected their intended location. There should also be a clear way to cancel an incorrectly placed order and request a refund directly through the app.
Very frustrating experience. The app needs serious improvements.
