Food Safety Hazard
Food arrived in an open box (tape came undone) in 90 degree heat. Submitted a ticket immediately and haven’t heard back and it’s been well over 24 hours. Seems like food safety issues should be handled promptly, as this is our food supply for the week.
Healthy Eating
My mother and I are super impressed by the healthy foods, both delicious and nutritious. I live in the woods and not close to shopping at all so Convenience is really important and I love how easy it has become to just open the fridge or pantry and get out a single sized snack w/o worrying about having to much food. I don’t overeat and I don’t throw things away, I believe the value is in that fact and works well with our lifestyle.

They try to sneak in extra charges into your cart
I had an 8 dinner serving plan (36 credits per week). Yet, week after week, the default cart has 40 credits worth of food, with the 4 extra credits being from snacks items, even though I have “none” marked for snacks in my plan/profile. These are not rollover credits. They are literally adding two, 2 credit snack items to my cart above my 8 dinner servings and trying to charge an ~$7 extra for it each week. At first, I thought it was a glitch. I tried searching in the app for a place to turn off adding extras but the only place I could find was the plan page, where I already have “none” marked for everything except 8 dinners servings.
While I like the quick recipes, prechopped veggies, and pre cooked meat options, the sneaky billing practices are a deal breaker.

They try to sneak in extra charges
I had an 8 dinner serving plan (36 credits per week). The app is supposed to automatically fill your cart based on your plan and you can adjust accordingly if you don’t like what their algorithm comes up with. I’ve noticed for the last two weeks, the default cart selections had 40 credits worth of food, 4 credits above the amount of my plan! The extra food was part of the computer generated cart and not anything I added to the cart.
To be clear, these were NOT rollover credits. There was an additional charge (~$7) for the extra credits THEY added to my cart! To make it worse, the extra credits were for snacks, even though my meal plan selection has “none” marked for snacks. So they added extra things to my cart contrary to my plan selection and then tried to charge me for it! The only time there should ever be add on credits is if the CUSTOMER adds it themselves!
Other observations:
-the credit system makes it harder to determine how much you are paying per meal/item
-the recipe recommendations are so-so and always need customizing
-I do like that they have many quick recipe options with prechopped veggies and precooked proteins and grains.
