Good Ice, Stupid Rules
Love the ice and water. Card reader is iffy sometimes but can usually get it to work. It’s very stupid that I can’t just send one of my workers to get ice because I’m “too far away.” Many times cellular data messes up even when I’m close so if I say I’m there, it should believe me. If I choose the wrong location, that is on me. Fix that and it’s worth 5+ stars.

Why did I download this?
App doesn’t show any locations near me, only an hour or more away. Thankfully Google can find things for companies that can’t be bothered with app functionality. Also why no Bluetooth/WiFi or whatever? If a location doesn’t show on the app, you can’t use electronic payments. Thankfully, I always carry some cash for just such an occurrence, but still a royal pain. This app is useless to me and am deleting.

Downloaded app. Got 2 free bags—Rewards. Not too hard to load money to card. Easy to vend-just press button in app and hold phone close to card reader. Don’t need to carry cash. Find a location on app. Need List view of Locations-easier to click it. Thanks.

Based on the reviews I really had no hope here. needed bulk ice in the OKC metro & all I had was my card. App worked flawlessly, had 0 problems. People are really mad about having to make an account but if you plan on picking up ice again these are like the only machines in town so it’s not a bad thing to have your card info saved so you can just pull up the app & not have to do that whole process over again. All I did was press a button to dispense & it worked fine. Also in the reviews it said there was a .10 fee for using your card? That was not the case when I bought my ice today. Flat rate $3/16lb bag. No extra fees. Will be using the app again next time I need ice. Apple Pay would be cool if anyone is listening

We have tried to get ice since our account was reloaded in June of 2024 and cannot get the app to work with the machines in our area! We had to go ahead and pay cash since then. It’s now 12/1/25 and still not working.

Who carries cash and coins anymore? These machines have both ice and water but for whatever reason you can only use the APP for ICE ONLY. So if I have to go to the GROCERY STORE to get COINS I’ll just get my WATER and ICE there at the store TOGETHER.

This app is not very informative. I would like to know how to get my free bag of ice. There are no instructions on the app at all and it makes no sense. Do you have to load your $15 deposit before you can get your free bag of ice? Where are the instructions for forgetting your free bag of ice? Is there a place on the machine where you can plug in your free bag of ice code? No!

Worked fine for me to get ice and relatively easy to work with. Heads up though, the free ice bag is 20lbs so have a plan for where it will go.

This business would make so much more money if they actually accepted payment. Cash readers don’t work, cards decline for no reason. Terrible business, every time I stop there ends up being a waste of time.

Love Twive the Ice, Hate this Scam of an App
I use Twice the Ice all of the time, & one day their card reader on one of their machines wasn’t working, & I didn’t have cash & while trying to find a bag of ice near me that wasn’t over $5, I somehow ended up on their website trying to find another location.
”Download the app & get a free bag of ice”… I thought, “this is how I get a bag of ice without having to pay an arm and a leg” so, I downloaded the app & created the account. But once I created the account, they never send you the “confirmation email” with the “link” that you are supposed to receive in order to receive the free bag of ice. They use the “free bag of ice” to farm downloads for their app, & to have people waste their time create accounts.
I thought “okay, well that didn’t work but at least I can still earn a free bag of ice if I load 20 bucks onto my account” *I had noticed they had a rewards section on the app & that was my first reward that I could earn*
So I loaded 20 bucks onto my account. I figured why not because I use their machines often. And it meant a free bag of ice today. BUT it turns out, that the 4 Twice the Ice machines in my general location, didn’t even accept the app, stating something along the lines of “This location doesn’t accept the app, but you can still use cash” blah blah blah. So now I’m just out of $20, no bag of ice at all, & I have less memory on my phone because of this useless app.
