I really enjoy Temu , but there free gifts are not free a you have to spend a certain amount before you get it I find this abit annoying

Been using Temu for a while and bought quite a few things. The app has really annoying popups pushing signup offers that are not genuinely free, just a dark pattern designed to harvest sign ups rather than offer real value.
Lately most items advertised on the app I could get locally at about the same cost and with far less waiting time. The quality of goods seems to have dropped, and anything decent is priced about the same as on UK sites or Amazon anyway.
Good for quirky one off items, but the wait outweighs the few pounds saved. Quality standards on my orders have been questionable. I would not buy anything electrical from it, since items sold through the platform often bypass the UKCA and CE safety certification you would expect from a UK retailer or Amazon UK, and enforcement on individual sellers is patchy.
The product reviews are also mostly false or paid for. This is not just a personal impression, review manipulation on Temu and similar platforms has been widely reported, so star ratings are not worth trusting.

Pop up Temu offers
If I could rate 0 stars I would. The pop up Temu offers/games that you can’t click out of put me off buying anything at all. I always end up leaving the app. Absolutely ridiculous, it doesn’t entice me to purchase anything
