i had an account and i tried to log in and it sent me the code i did it multiple times but it kept me logged out at some point it said the real name authentication thing and it wanted photos of ids and stuff which is a big safety and identity fraud concern and i feel like there is a lot of sketchy things on that app and there was like countries alr written there so i honestly wouldn’t be shocked if i found out this app sells ur info

I understand using AI for the product photos as this is a cheap alternative to paying for marketing, but using AI generated photos for the product reviews is too far.
I had a good look through a lot of the products, and I could spot majority of the comments were AI photos/videos.
Instantly lost trust and uninstalled the app.

Account got frozen without notice and suggested resolution
This issue has not been resolved in the past 10 years
Doesn’t even work
The overseas version requires you to sign into an account. The issue is that whenever signing into an account, it’ll just tell you that there’s a security error when trying to use their 2FA system.

It is too easy to trigger their weird behaviour security.
I just opened several tabs for similar items to compare the products. I have put 20+ items in the cart. After several tries and my account was suspended.
I tried to unlock to request the security codes. I received the one from the phone but the email one was never received.
I spent quite sometimes to put the items in the basket and there is nothing I can do now. I have already submitted my real Id and face identification process was completed and passed.
I give up. Taobao is a completed waste of time.
