TV app doesn't sync

I generally love iFIT. I've been using it for years. I mostly use it on a Nordic Track elliptical, but I also like the strength workouts. Everything on my machine, phone and iPad works great. When I attempt to do a workout from the app on my tv - none of the same workouts or history show up. Today I had a workout in mind that I had seen on my machine and when I tried to search for it on the Apple TV app, using the exact title, I got a message that it couldn't be found. Other than that, I love iFIT.

Love my bike —>LOATHEEE THIS APP.

UPDATE (8.4.26) —— first thank you for the genuine response, especially after I realized I used harsh words that were unwarranted and extremely inconsiderate. For that I’m truly sorry. I was literally typing while riding so I was probably a bit “triggered and definitely not fully attended. Anyway - I am sending your support team a bit more of a thorough and respectful constructive email to the address you provided. Again sorry for the harsh words and thank you again for your responsive service.

Original review
This app is horrible. IFITs “idea” of exercise is horrendous. Enough with the scenic shots and strolling through crowded pedestrian sidewalks. Also not all of us want to be lance armstrong. You need to restructure this entire app and service from inside out . No scenic panoramic shots during the actual ride. Use the time in the warmups and cooldowns instead of those 3 boring pictures that have nothing to do with biking over and over again. It completely takes the rider out of the immersive element that is supposed to be happening. Example - 6 minutes into a ride don’t show the dude sitting with a cup of coffee - I don’t care how good that coffee was. It’s not necessary one bit in this context. Also if you are going to be all over the inclines esp with the x24 bike, give descents a little bit of time don’t make us go all the way up and then cut again to something unnecessary instead of going down. It’s really not hard to figure that out. Take an example from rouvy. I would kill to be able to use that app on my NordicTrack instead of this nonsense.

Buyer beware

I was sent an email from iFIT stating my subscription will be renewed at $149.99 in September 2026. I was not aware that I had this account as when I logged on I only got the free version. When I went to try and cancel this account, I was unable to do so as I don’t have the information to that account. I called them and was told that they would cancel it for me. I explained that I’ve never used this account and they could check to see this account had not been used. I only had the free version. They stated they were unable to do anything for me since it was a year ago. I explained again that I was not aware that this account was open. They still stuck to company policy of they could not do anything for me. If I did not call, I would’ve been charged 149.99 for an account I can’t use. Talk about a scheme. I asked how much I had paid for this account and was told $99 so basically they took $100 from me for an account that I could not use and was going to charge me 149.99 to renew it. Doesn’t sound like a company I want to do business with.

not work

i have membership and there is no data downlading while blutooth on and screen number is frozen

Was great but not so great now !

Used this app on and for for a few years now
The new update app with loads of extra features (that I don’t need) loses my progress, when logging in, it goes back to the previous ride, the old version would automatically put you on the next ride, the price has gone up, but paying extra for an inferior version of the app, I did contact I fit direct but had no response

Refuses to pull HR from Apple watch

Seriously this should be straightforward. Very annoying

Really disappointing

I bought a new Nordic track treadmill last year. The treadmill has been great. However, this app is really disappointing in a couple of ways. Despite the fact that I paid full price for the treadmill, it continually tries to get me to opt in to a paid monthly subscription every time I use it. I cannot disable this or tell it I’m not interested. I am a competitive runner and I have my own workouts planned. A second major issue I have is with data exportability. It is a legal requirement in the state I’m in (and many other states as well as Europe) for customers to be able to export their data from software platforms like this. iFit has always made this difficult, burying this in settings menus, but in their recent website redesign they appear to have removed this ability entirely. I was told by their AI support bot that there is no longer any way to get the data exported from my workouts. I am frustrated and disappointed with this application and their apparent disregard from people who just want to use the treadmill to run and have access to their workout data.

Low Functioning

I purchased a bike and a treadmill from NordicTrack (S15i bike and X24 treadmill). I logged into my iFIT account on both machines and my phone. Everything works fine, but the workouts won’t communicate with Apple Health or Strava & the app isn’t very user friendly if you want to monitor your progress. The app is weak and needs to do better. The workouts seem great so far!!

Almost criminal

Pause subscription, they just switch it on again snd don’t tell you. They hide their cancel membership. @apple review your apps better this one hides the cancellation and makes you jump through hoops to end it.

Does not work on manual

The app is very poor does not work on manual mode and is constantly loosing data, crashing or cancelling during a cycle. Even when reported via the app nobody seams to care. Maybe as I don’t buy the experience subscriptions? Real shame as the Nordictrak bike is great.

Almost amazing

Love the workouts from the convenience of home without even having a machine to pair with...yet. Unfortunately I’ve had glitches with the calendar and syncing despite multiple calls/contact with tech support and fixing it. Things appear and disappear on my calendar and continue to not sync over devices- this makes tracking my workouts and finding favorites difficult and frustrating. I hope it gets better. Update: some of the syncing is better, but still not great. Also, you used to be able to stream your music through a work out but now you’re stuck with their music or just listening to the talking. I really only seemed like the spotlight workouts and if I wasn’t grandfathered in on the lower price I don’t recommend that at all. I thought it might be good for new people, but the trainers seem to assume a lot of things that I know as a previous trainer and if you’re brand new to working out, it might be awkward. i’m glad they have the pause feature but even that used to be you could pause it and still have access until the end of your billing cycle but now they just turn it off right away and you don’t get any money back.Customer service across the board is kind of a joke. I had to get a different story depending on who you talk to if you can even get a person on the phone sooner than an hour.

Apple Watch HR Streaming Sucks!

Leaving this review until SW updates improve. Overall fitness selection & workouts are great, but the phone / watch integration with my X24 tread is horrible. Every time I start workout trying to stream heart rate (HR) data from watch to the treadmill the iFit app either 1. never connects to watch app or 2. disconnects within a few seconds to minutes of being connected and streaming HR data. Even worse, the only way to get it to reconnect is to completely abandon your workout and start a new one, it doesn’t have the ability to reconnect mid-session, you have to ‘start’ a workout for it to think to look for the apple watch to connect to. Really hope this improves because the UX is horrible and totally kills the workout experience. I have other comments about integrations with Apple Health & Strava:
- AH: iFit uploads everything on the tread as an outdoor run, even if it’s walking pace, there’s no way to change this setting (even in custom workouts) (in what world is a workout on a tread ever an outdoor run???)
- Strava/iFit: if you link both it will upload to strava, then strava will upload to apple health, then iFit will pull from Apple health and basically double track your workout everywhere. Have to setup a single flow of data because iFits unable to screen for the same exact workout and prevent double counting.

No enough value

The intro level at $20/month offers very little. So little I will probably cancel the subscription and just use the manual option on my machine. To get any real value I would have to bump up to the premium which offers several accounts - which I don’t need. Just not worth it.

Series suggestions

I love joining a series and knowing what I’m doing every morning when I wake up, it would be great if there were a bit more that were around the 30 minute mark that had to do with weight training… I’m always struggling to find that it’s easy to find ones for running but as a female who is more intermediate advance in finding that I just keep reusing the same couple ones over and over again it would be nice to have a few more options because the ones you have are great.

QR code error

I have tried for months to connect my ifit elliptical to my account. Note you can now only sign in through a QR code. For the life of me my entire family, friends, neighbors tried to connect our device just to receive a VPN error. We did a hard reset of device, disconnected all VpN, connected through PC, cellular, iPad, iPhone you name it without any luck. I lost all my experiences and can no longer sign in. I tried to get live help just to be told the same AI version over and over. After paying for a pro membership for years I received useless customer service. Almost 3 months later and no phone call back from support I give up. Save your frustrations and buy a fitness program that still gives you the option of live support and cares to help you connect your account. Waste of time and money!

Terrible software and horrible customer service

Once you pay 1200 for a machine they know they have you locked in so there is no incentive to fix issues or provide decent customer service. They took down their website about six months ago, that was where you could manage your calendar, find other challenges, conveniently create your own maps etc. On the app, only about four months of the calendar appears. Good luck contacting them with issues. It seems like it’s bots that respond. They don’t even answer what your question is, just give a blanket response that means nothing. You can’t even get a personal membership on the app. Even if single you are required to buy a family plan. Every time I turn my treadmill on I find it has a different random date, today it was November 15; and there’s no easy way to change it. Run away from this company.

AppleTV

Why are so many of the workouts, particularly Pilates and yoga, missing from the AppleTV app? Most of us are not lying on the floor trying to look up at a tiny treadmill screen 6ft in the air. We’re in front of our TV on the living room floor.

Other than that, I use my elliptical all the time and love iFit. I hope they fix the AppleTV app.

Only One Free Workout

We purchased a $700+ rowing machine but one get one free workout seems like a rip off.
Now the app does allow you to do manual rows but it sure would be nice to have more free workouts after paying over $700 for the machine.

App Disconnects from Apple Watch Constantly

The app continuously disconnected from my Apple Watch the entire run. It was super irritating. Great idea of an app but needs fixing.
