Not Worth It

I use to love this app, had it for over 10 years and it showed me my progress during my sobriety using many useful metrics. This was before the app updated and now requires me to log in and provide more information than I am comfortable with providing given the subject. Too bad, I will not recommend this app and I am deleting it after I finish writing this review. Sad to take advantage of a vulnerable population so the developer can make more money even though the previous version was just fine.

Don’t buy

I began with this app 6 years ago because I loved the SIMPLICITY of it.
It was just a counter, just statistics, bare bones. No inspirational quotes or notifications.
And it was free.
I just decided to check in and the format is completely different, now with inspirational content, and it is no longer free. There are far better sobriety apps that are free. If I were searching for one, I wouldn’t choose this one.

Response from developer

Thank you for sharing your feedback and for using the app. I’d like to clarify a couple of points for anyone reading: the app has always had a one-time download price of $2.99 in the App Store, and that price has not changed. The core quit counter and statistics are still included with that purchase and remain fully usable without any additional payment. I recently added optional features such as donations and a Premium subscription to help support continued development, but nothing was removed or required to keep using the app as a simple counter. I understand that design changes and added features aren’t for everyone, and I respect that preference. Thank you again for taking the time to share your perspective. ~Paul

Over complicated the app

It used to be a simple app now they want you to make an account and password yada yada and invade your privacy. Added AI slop all over. Added an entire tab dedicated to begging for tips. You had a perfectly simple easy to use app and screwed it all away. Garbage app now don’t buy. Not worth the 1$

Response from developer

I’m sorry to hear the changes haven’t worked for you. I’d like to clarify a few points for anyone reading. Accounts were added to support optional features like secure backup and syncing across devices. Personal data is not sold or shared. AI features, notifications, and support options are entirely optional and not required to use the app. The core quit counter and statistics remain available with the original app purchase. Based on user feedback, the original simplified dashboard has also been brought back as an option for those who prefer the classic experience. I understand that some users prefer a strictly minimal app, and I respect that perspective. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. ~Paul

Updated?

I liked the original app better.

Love this app

This app is so simple and so profound. I love the updates that show all the milestones and the AI encouragement - really great!

Response from developer

Thank you so much — I really appreciate this. I’m glad the milestone tracking and AI encouragement have been helpful to you. The goal has always been to keep the app simple at its core while offering optional tools for motivation and reflection. Thanks for taking the time to share your experience, and congratulations on your progress. ~Paul
