Bug needs fixing
Downloaded the latest app but it won’t close messages to navigate back to the account screen.
Had to access interest statement for tax year online. The downloaded statement does not have Bank logo and name.

Garbage app!!!
Changing banks this app is terrible. I tried to make a payment and kept getting an error code, then realised it had transferred 3x payments without confirmation. Deleting and changing bank today.
Suggested enhancement
The app works well, however please enhance the app to enable categorization of expenses, budgeting capabilities, multiple offsets. Ie use the capabilities that are there to help us budget and manage our money. I’m considering moving my mortgage and banking to a bank that has this already if you don’t keep up!!

Statements
So hard to find and print. Single transactions you need copies of? Forget it.
Interest rates scam
Don’t be fooled by this “good rate” ING will find each and every reason not to pay the interest for that month. This month it was because “the account didn’t grow from the previous month” while at the end of the previous month the balance was “0” and now it has thousands . The month before, the accounts didn’t use the card enough… every mi th there is a pseudo reason. And try to contact ING by phone!!! You need to clear the whole morning, because you will be holding for hours.

Annoying popups
Remove the popup that says the new app is coming - we’ve tried it and it doesn’t even have basic features like a balance against items, pending items show the incorrect date and time of purchase, all these issues are known. So, given many users have to keep using this old version, remove the popup that gets in the way every time it loads in! Or at least remove the minimum time until I can hit the x to close it, or remember that I’ve closed it, it’s driving me batty. Genuinely thinking of switching banks over this app fiasco.

More detail needed so we can budget better
Have seen other friends banking apps that are so much more advanced than this . Love ING as a bank but the app feels very clunky and looks unappealing.

ING had the best banking app on the market. "Upgraded" it in early 2026 and ruined it.
Running balance
I don’t like that you can no longer see your running balance alongside transactions. I see you can download an interim statement but that isn’t up to date. This is very frustrating.
Running Balances??
It’s takes me longer to do banking with ING to track my balances manually when other banks offer this in their apps as default. You previously had this is the previous app but you prioritised fancy UI over simple financial tasks? I’m moving my everyday accounts and linked loans to elsewhere
Don’t delete this app when you download the new one
The new app is barely functional with a lot of irritations. It is fairly obvious ING Australia tried to save money by not paying a professional to work out all the kinks before release, instead relying on customers (us) to do it for free.
This old app is so much easier on the eyes with the orange background, you can see what money went where and you have a running account balance under each transaction, you can edit scheduled transfers, and many more features.
You will find yourself trying to use the new app to achieve something and then making your way back to this old app to get it done.
They are persevering with updating the new app, based on all our comments and suggestions, and complaints, but it’s not a pleasant experience for anyone.

Not working
Had to download multiple times over the past few months still can’t access. Shows an error something went wrong. Messaged raising my concern and been told to download again or use the website 👎🏽

Improvements Please!!
Text size is so tiny especially in Products section, even numbers and figures are hard to view.
Not enough features. Other banks offer extra tools like expense categorised & summarized, graphs, larger text etc.

Worried for the future
The old app was so good! The new one you’ve taken away the running balances after every transaction which is so annoying and such a downgrade. Also everything is so crowded? Visually it looks much worse. Please atleast bring back the running balance, so many people have already asked you this.
Update broke app, zero customer service
I contacted ING after the update 4 weeks ago resulted in phantom buttons, bizarre colours, and near-unusability. They responded with some sort of AI-generated reply that told me not to update the app, and not to delete the ‘old app’…??? I stuck with them after they stopped refunding ATM fees, but now am planning to move my mortgage away from ING and be finally done with this soulless company.

Good App
It’s a user friendly and simple app. It would be very useful if transactions could be labeled by the user with additional information. I can do this on other bank apps which makes tax time and other things much simpler. Adding that one feature would make it my favourite bank app.
