FIX THE APP! I can not accept batches due to “connection error”
I’ve done all that support asked me to do and it looks like it’s an issue on YOUR side. I’ve now missed out on a day of money I could be making. Perhaps I’ll refer people to Uber Eats and DoorDash instead. Support has been absolutely useless and I can’t be the only one with this issue since I UPDATED the app!

Pregnant and deactivated
Back in 2024 I had 5.0 rating and really good reviews. Due to being 9 months pregnant I could not carry over 50 pounds so I would cancel orders containing over 3 water packs and I got deactivated. I had a 3 in 1 order and asked the support team if they can remove it for me since I could not physically lift that much while pregnant and he said yes it will not affect cancelation rate but it did. SMH.

Fraud customers
No accountability for fraud lying customers. Soon as a customer lie and say they didn't get order. It's all the shopper fault. When the drop off has a ring camera recording the order being delivered. How's that possible?

charges you damn near $2 to even cash out and customers don’t always have good batches to choose from . Almost feels like robbery for drivers now .
Not enough pay, barely make enough to pay for gas
I enjoy instacarting, but what I am getting paid is very little, you guys need to pay better!! The gas and car maintenance is not free you know! I don’t want to work just to barely pay for the gas my car consumes. It is just senseless.

Alcohol delivery
Critical account issue after app update. My alcohol eligibility disappeared from my Shopper account even though I was previously eligible. I completed the required alcohol training and passed the test, and Support confirmed that alcohol eligibility was added back to my account. However, Alcohol is still completely missing from my Batch Eligibility section and I cannot receive alcohol batches. Multiple Support contacts have failed to resolve this. This appears to be a technical/account synchronization issue. Please have the appropriate team investigate my account.

I’ve had the Instacart shopper app since 2020 and have always done everything right, but now—I don't know what happened—I can't see orders containing alcohol. This really affects me because it lowers my earnings. I’ve contacted support, but they aren't helping; they just tell me everything with my account is fine.

Poor support when disputing missing promotional pay
I’m extremely frustrated with Instacart’s support system. I completed 6 qualifying batches for an $86 promotion on August 16, but Instacart’s system only credited me for 5, leaving me owed $43.80.
I have screenshots and documentation showing my completed batches and the promotional requirements. I contacted support multiple times by phone and chat, was transferred repeatedly, waited over an hour in chat, and was promised supervisor callbacks that never happened. Despite all of this, the issue still has not been resolved.
Instacart seriously needs a better system for disputes like this. There should be a dedicated form or email for shoppers to submit documentation and request a manual review of missing promotional pay. Shoppers work hard to complete these promotions and should have a reliable way to receive the money they earned.
**Warning to other shoppers:** Save screenshots of every promotion and completed batch because getting a legitimate payment issue resolved through support can be extremely difficult.

After last update I lose some certifications and the app even shows the prompt to race the lessons again

I’ve been back on the Instacart Shopper app for over a month and I have not gotten many batches since. I’m not sure if it’s the app, because I look in the “best time to shop” and it looks like it’s a good time to shop. I’ve gotten about 11 batches since I got back on. I’m not really happy about it to be honest.
