Low income. Fake promises.
The same garbage as Uber and Lyft. They’re always looking to pay as little as possible. I’m not going to wreck my car for pennies. Don’t waste your time or your car.
No payment
They are supposed to pay you if they have closures but I have multiple days where the FSL closed down and I didn’t get paid for my blocks.
Amazing
The best job
Clunky app, bad support
I’ve been a gig contractor for 7 years, Amazon flex has been one of the most aggravating experiences. The app is clunky and slow. Most of the time it won’t boot up the first time you open it and you have to close it out and try it again to get it to boot up. The navigation is terrible and routes don’t seem to be made with any understanding of actual traffic flows. At times routes are given with impossible delivery times, and you’ll be penalized for not being able to do the impossible. Fortunately, the app allows you to reorder the deliveries as you like. Which for areas you’re familiar with and so long as there aren’t major time constraints, this helps a lot. But if you’re not familiar with the area in which you’re delivering, or if the expected delivery times won’t allow it, you just have to hope for the best.
Often, the pickup station will be closed, with no prior notification, and just a sign placed on the door. The app says that in these instances you’ll still be paid for your scheduled blocks, but oftentimes this is not true. You just end up having the most frustrating conversations with “support” that doesn’t help you. In one case, I was not only not paid for my block, but I was penalized for “not arriving for my pickup.” Despite having a picture of the sign on the locked door.
The only saving grace is that the pay can be pretty good. But that barely makes it worth the headache.

Needs work.
The job is great when you can get to it. The app is terrible you constantly have to uninstall it and reload it for it just to work. I’m tired of missing days because your app is so terrible. Maybe try an update or something!
