Not optimized at all
Calls constantly drop and always having connection issues despite having fast WiFi connection, very buggy and developers need to work on optimizing the app, there are plenty of voice calling apps that are FREE and work better than this
Stalkers and scammers supported by this mismanaged app
This voip provide providers conversion to the Unite platform has been a disaster for those users like me who previously were very happy with intermediate and its services.
Immediately upon converting to the app, my once robust and reliable secure VIP operating system became a magnet for STALKERS, Robo, collars, and other scammers. The Robo calls roll in starting from 7 o’clock in the morning and continue throughout the business day despite with the provider, not taking even the most basic actions to regulate this misconduct, despite a clear pattern. It’s response to my documented reports I’ve recurrent calls from the same scams is to tell me that I need to not answer my business phone, force callers to push 1 or take other actions to screen the calls. Not only does this violate the responsibility under FCC regulations, it also totally obviates the value of this phone service. If you’re smart, choose another VIP provider. If you’re already like me involved with this provider, don’t go to the Unite app. If you’re having problems like I in so many others are on this platform, report them to fcc.gov and file comments with the FCC at fcc.gov, supporting their proposed regulations that would mandate regimented requirements since INTERMEDIA and many other VIP providers like it don’t responsibly use the flexibility offered to actually provide solution solutions. Instead, they become facilitation platforms for these bad actors. Tell the customer inappropriately that they can’t do anything about it and it’s the customer’s job to suffer this harassment or screen the calls. Intermediate and it’s united app have gone from being a top provider to be what I would characterize among the world‘s worst. Don’t use them.

Callers cannot hear
Ever since the most recent iOS, update, when a call comes in the collar cannot hear me talking. And I cannot hear them talking. Very frustrating. I also can make an outgoing call, but they cannot hear me either. You need to update your app so it works.
App only shows messages, not emails

Lots of issues. Static on calls, dropped calls, ringing when already talking. Will be looking for a new provider.
Missing functionality
I need to be able to search the SMS messages in the same manner as on the desktop version. For instance, on desktop I can search for a name or a keyword, and it will bring up the relevant messages, however, in the app it returns nothing.
Secondly, I need to be able to assign a different ringtone for calls in the app. Thank you.

Only get watch alert after you’ve missed a call *UPDATE* Finally fixed!!!
Making calls works fine. But I keep my phone on silent and rely on my Apple Watch to let me know when I’m getting a call. When people call via Unite I only get a notification saying I’ve missed a call. No option to answer the call on my watch or using my AirPods. It’s frustrating. *** UPDATE AS OF 7/8/25*** they finally fixed the “no notification on Apple Watch” bug that has been bugging me for 5 years! Also it’s clear they’ve made strides in improving the app. It’s pretty reliable for me now. I appreciate the work, Unite team!

Hi One Guy in Miami , Thank you for your input. While we do not have that current feature, we are working with Apple, for a way to send the notification to the Apple Watch. Please ensure you are using the latest version of the app.

Calls constantly drop, multiple times during one conversation even. Transfers regularly do not go through. My company has submitted so many tickets to figure out the issue and this company never has an answer. Would not recommend at all.

I am the CEO of a company that relies on our phone app. This platform has to be one of the worst ever. You can’t get a hold of anyone of course. The help function needs a PhD to understand. DON’T USE!!!

Love the app so far. I wish they can make the silent mode feature more flexible, more scheduling options thanks just one time frame.
Ridiculous
I’ve been a loyal customer for over 20 years, but the Unite phone system has been a major disappointment. It constantly fails to connect calls, and the lack of incoming caller ID is a huge problem for my business. Without caller ID, we can’t look up or prepare for incoming calls, which impacts our ability to serve customers effectively. The issues began after they “upgraded” my system, and it’s been nothing but trouble since. Very frustrating and unacceptable for a business-focused service.

Buggy
App works for a while, then stops working for no reason, requiring a reinstallation. Tech support has no better solution. Been this way for years.
This is an expensive service for business so should be much more reliable. App is fine when it works.

I use this app everyday for work. This isn’t my first cloud phone app I’ve had to use for work, but this is far and above the better experience.
I can change any of my settings from here and text from my work number as well. Gives me some work/life balance.
