Good app, needs more smart features

Very cool application with a clean interface. Backup and photo storage work well. It would be great if you add more features like Google Photos,
Also, please provide a refer-and-earn option to get free storage. This will make the app even better and more competitive.

Worst for iPad

As soon as I delete the original video which I uploaded to Jio cloud, the quality of the video in Jio cloud becomes very worst. The video becomes very blurry. Nothing is visible clearly, and I experimented it, and as soon as I recover that original video from recycle bean of my iPad gallery. The copy of the video I have in Jio cloud becomes very good quality and one other thing, I also want that the Jio team will bring attention is please fix this issue. Whenever we try upload live photos on Jio cloud. They are not live anymore.

Full of bugs and glitches

I do really like the 50gb of free storage and it does a good job of storing all you data, but everything goes wrong when you try to view your files. Playback is so buggy. Full of glitches, feels unpolished. The quality of the photos and videos are pretty much original, it’s just the playback that needs improvement.

Impressive Improvements and Smooth Experience

JioCloud has improved a lot, and the experience feels smoother than ever. Uploads and downloads are fast, the interface is clean, and syncing across devices works without any issues. Storage management has become more efficient, and the recent updates make it even more reliable for backup.

I’m genuinely impressed with how consistently the service is getting better. Great job, JioCloud team—keep it up!

Very very slow !

Takes Eternity to upload on High Speed Fibre..!! Quality of upload is very poor !! Almost half of the original !

Extremely Poor Performance — Needs Serious Optimization

The JioCloud iOS app is practically unusable at this point. It constantly freezes and crashes, especially when scrolling through a large number of files or photos. It’s obvious that the developers haven’t implemented lazy loading properly — the app tries to load everything at once, hogging memory until it crashes.

This isn’t just a small bug; it’s a fundamental design flaw in the way data and images are loaded. The experience is frustrating, and for a cloud service from a major company, this level of performance is unacceptable.

If the Jio team wants to fix this, I’m available — hire me as your iOS Lead, and I’ll make sure this app runs smoothly and efficiently.

Tried to enter my mobile number, didn’t work

I typed in my mobile number 2 times, then I was supposedly ā€œsentā€ an OTP that I never received.

Then I try a third time and it says ā€œSomething went wrong. Please try again later.ā€ I then proceed to type my email.

Then says ā€œplease enter a verified emailā€. I’m confused, how do you verify an email when you literally just got the app?

I’m honestly disappointed. I thought I found a good alternative instead of paying for iCloud+, but I didn’t.

So, I’d recommend looking for alternatives.

50 GB free is a Great offer but

It’s a great deal to offer 50 GB free but the app interface is very basic

For iOS users

You know it's very hard to clean iPhone photos, this app is a life saver, backed up every thing and then deleted everything from Iphone, that too free of cost subscription included with Jio recharge. The resolution might be low when h view in app but it's good after all u dont have to pay for iCloud storage

Terrible App to Upload Photos Manually

I tried manually uploading photos from my gallery to one of the albums I created. If the phone locks during upload, the app throws network connectivity error and stops uploading. The app should continue to upload photos in the background, which it does not. One cannot sit with phone in hand to upload pics. I guess it will be same with docs upload etc. Guess I need to stick to other proven providers and not waste time on this app.

Uploading of Photos

Why doesn’t Jio Cloud work independently. I have stopped Auto upload of Goggle Photos , and since that time Jio Cloud is not uploading files . They are all In Que and even individual manual uploading of photos doesn’t work . Is Jio Cloud subservient to Google Photos. I mean why isn’t it working INDEPENDENTLY. .. Plz let’s know šŸ™

Duplicate Photos/Videos

Hello Team,

This app is great, but I wish it had a feature to Detect duplicate photos and videos. I have a massive collection of media, and unfortunately, tonnes of duplicates are taking up valuable storage space. A duplicate detection feature would be a game-changer, allowing me to easily identify and delete duplicates, keeping my library organized and clutter-free. Please consider adding this feature in a future update!

ā€œOptimized vs. Original Photos: How Jio Cloud Handles Replacementsā€

If I upload my photos in an optimized state to Jio Cloud and later change the settings to download the original photos to my device, the original photos—being larger in size and better in quality—should replace the optimized versions on the cloud. However, this didn’t happen.

Additionally, if I upload photos from a different source, such as Google Photos, Jio Cloud creates duplicate copies of similar photos instead of keeping a single version. Now, with 40GB of photos, how am I supposed to filter and organize them efficiently?

Great

Good back up but need more space

Not a good UI

Very horrible UI, and the way it offers 50 gb of free offer and tricks you into signing up does not help

Great Online back up option

Compared to other free online platforms this offers so many features even better than google drive in some cases. But google drive has its own strengths like better synchronisation with its own various apps and more storage etc. Even though I tried using Jio Cloud and enjoyed the features like auto back up , album sharing, private folder etc but I am shifting back to google drive as Jio Cloud has only 5GB of free storage
