Customer service

Always feel like my healthcare is very important to my physician. Love Kaiser

Easy to use

The app is easy to use. It’s very intuitive. The font is large enough to read easily. It’s easy to communicate with the doctor and see lab results. It’s also nice to see all my immunizations in one place too, since I forget when and which ones I’ve received. The appointments feature comes in handy for remembering my appointments, since they are usually scheduled far in advance of the actual appointment and I don’t always have them logged in my calendar. The pictured medical card feature in the app actually came in handy one time at reception to get my medical record number, when I didn’t have my physical medical card with me. The app is my primary tool for interacting with Kaiser Permanente instead of the website, since I always have my phone with me, unlike my laptop. Overall, I really like the app. I use it often.

As for the cons, sometimes I get popups randomly to consent for things that interfere with what I’m doing, so it’s disruptive. For example, I’m looking at lab results, then I click a link for more information on the test, and a popup asking for my consent for digital documents shows up. Then after reading through all the complex legalese and deciding if I consent, I have to start over finding and selecting the lab result I was just looking at from the laundry list of lab results.

Lastly, for anyone interested, the app doesn’t show pending lab work such as blood tests, so you’re on your own to remember that. I really wish the app had a feature for that. If future, pending appointments made at the doctor’s office can be linked to the app, then why not pending blood work, which is also put into the same computer system at the same time a future appointment is made at the doctor’s office? It doesn’t seem like it would be that difficult to implement, programmatically speaking. If I got a dollar for the number of times I’ve missed blood work that drops out of the computer system at reception, because I forgot to go in on a timely manner to get my blood drawn, requiring me to get another authorization from my doctor, I’d be wealthier than Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, and Bill Gates combined!

App

El app es un poco complicado

Your website is horrible

I came to Kaiser Upland on 6/10/26 for a TB test that I need for work. I had it done and returned on 6/12/26 to have the test read. I received a copy of my immunizations record and submitted it to my job. I trusted the information on the sheet, and did not notice that the information on the form is wrong. The Record sheet says it was given on 6/12/26 AND ALSO read on 6/12/26. So now I need new CORRECT documentation because my job will not accept it. That’s my first issue. Now on to my second issue. I was trying to take care of this on your website and I have to say your website is NOT USER FRIENDLY especially to elderly. I am only 67 and still pretty current with things but I could not find any way to get the correct information. I tried calling to get a corrected copy and all I could get was the automated line that had no options for what I need nor did it have any way to get a live agent. There should ALWAYS be an option for a person. Your website is too difficult to navigate you need people available to help members when they need help. I purposely did this test in June so I would not be in the back to school rush for vaccines, records, sport physicals, etc. I received a letter from my job saying that the record I sent was not valid. Now I have to make another trip to Kaiser to get this straight. AGAIN, you need an option at least for seniors to get a live agent for assistance. This is ridicuous. Someone at Kaiser, messed up the dates now it’s costing me time & energy to try to fix it before my current one expires in September. Kaiser used to be great I never had issues but lately you guys are not so great. Yvette Harris. I would like to say that the staff at the Upland location are always very polite.

medications not available at my pharmacy

I couldn't find the medication available at my pharmacy; they used to send it to me at no cost, but now they want to charge for shipping.

Meds

Quick and simple

Cant access my account

I dont have Kaiser but my kids do. I havent been able to access their account. Doctors tell me to use it and I cant. Horrible. I have to use the website and still cant message doctors.

Drafts cannot be Sent

When composing a message, don’t use the Save button. It saves a draft that you cannot Send later.

Messaging broken!

Messages show the wrong dates, out of order lists read messages as unread etc. Actually could be dangerous because the messaging is so broken, and has remained so for too long!

KP App

The KP App is very helpful and fast with results. Very happy I have the app

Could be better

The new app is way more glitchy and slower, if they could fix it that would be highly appreciated.

Download or Print Dr’s Letter

I wish downloading the dr’s letter would be more user friendly. Thank you for your consideration.

Rescheduled Appointments

The Tracy facility is awful for getting an appointment. When you finally do, they get rescheduled. The wait to see someone is ridiculously long and you never get to see your primary doctor, which isn’t good when you have chronic illnesses.

Using the app to pre-pay a co-pay

I used the app to pre-pay my co-pay, but was required to pay it again at time of service. Now I’m trying to get a refund.

Terrible health insurance

Kaiser Permanente doesn’t care about their mental health for their patients. I literally become more depressed due to the way that they treat me. I’m tired of asking for help and not getting any help. I continue to tell them I feel like a failure and they don’t seem to care continuing to fail more as a patient.

Positive

Ordering from the KP Mail Order Pharmacy is quick and easy. Yes, it is.

Mail delivery

We love it!!!!!

Pharmacy

Pharmacy portion of App should remove old prescriptions after a certain time period. There are many past/filled ones that remain listed that make the list cumbersome

Total rewrite is better

The app is still stupidly slow but it’s not glacial like before.
