Ads on push notifications
The app will constantly have advertisements on push notifications and there’s no way to stop the ads without stopping all notifs, including actual security notifs. Contacting the team is useless as they ask you to pay for the premium service.
Bad app
Avoid using this company at all costs unless you like to watch long ads when you open this app to check for alert from your security cameras.
Love Kami
I use Kami to monitor my 13 yr old Chihuaha when I’m not home. The camera quality and motion detection are great and the app is easy to use. Kami gives me peace of mind.
Do not use this Chinese adware
Garbage app. Ads galore, pop ups, opens your browser at will to show ads. Apple should take this spyware down!
Had trouble cancelling the subscription for no ads
There is no assist hotline so when I couldn’t get help on the SUPPOSEDLY cancelled charge (the ai assistant helps you with cancellation at first, but in my case I still got notifications from my card that Kami home attempted to charge me for subscription) I had to call the credit card customer service. They couldn’t cancel it for me, but we tried getting me a new card.

Waste of time unless you want to watch 2 mins of ads every 90 seconds
Just like the title says. This is no different from its alternate app Yi HOME. I really wanted to use these old cameras to view some of my 3 prints but these are going in the trash since they are useless unless I pay some ungodly monthly service.
Disgraceful
Why does a simple app for viewing your cameras need so many ads? In fact, so many ads that it actually renders the app unusable. Another app developer choosing greed over user experience.
Do not Buy until Download the App!
The camera are alright but the app won’t let you use them without ads that block you from the first minute you log. Contact customer service (Ai, not manned by anyone) and told me I need a subscription to remove ads which there is no mention about this when I purchased. So now I have cameras that are useless and they said they do not accept returns.

Scam
This is a straight forward example of a manipulation tactic to scam people to pay a subscription. It was good back when it was YI home cam then it slowly became the worst scam ever. Can’t even watch the live feed anymore. Now I have to throw away 10 cams that I have.

Ads make it unusable
I bought several cameras before this company utilize ads on their app. I can no longer view my cameras because the ads and pop-ups are overwhelming. Leading to scam sites and phishing sites. Horrible way to run a business. Will tell everyone I know not to buy their products.
Worst app scam app
This app only shows ads for 30 seconds and insists of buying a plan, no other camera app shows ads and sell our data

Horrible how they constantly try to charge my car for the last 6 months and I don’t have an account with them anymore. There is no contact number to resolve this situation and now the company has changed their name. DO NOT BUY THIER SERVICE. I promise you they will scam you out your money.

Too many commercial
This app keep having too long of commercial and kept asking you to buy this no ad membership. VeryAnnoying .
Forced ADS & Subscription!!!! Beware!!!!
Update again 6/26/2026-ads are still horrible. Every opportunity theres an ad. Now they don’t let you view your camera in HD! Update!!! Now they let you watch your cameras for 5 secs after ads pop up asking you to pay to watch your cameras!! Wtf!!!DO NOT BUY!!!!!!! Unless you want ADS at every opportunity possible!!!! Horrible for when you are trying to access your cameras if there is an emergency and when you are trying to switch from cameras where you have placed them around your house!! You have to wait 15 seconds every time ad pops up to be able to cancel and continue viewing your cameras! Their priority is ADS more than security!!!! The sad part is that when they reply to your review they are trying to sell you to stop the ads! What a joke. That just tells you that they can remove them. Look elsewhere.

Avoid at all costs. Appalling App, after 2 weeks it’s nothing but a platform for streaming ads to you. You are lucky if you get 27 seconds to look at the camera you purchased before the ads come one after the other. The exclusive discount on offer is not exclusive as everyone is offered it and the subscription price still comes with ads being delivered after you view every camera. Then trying to cancel the subscription is a maze game with dead ends everywhere.

Ads every time you click
Yicam used to be the best on the free plan, now you get an ad every tome you click anything. It’s basically unusable at this point without paying a monthly fee.
