Solid improvements since original version

A lot has improved over the last couple of versions. The first-impression bugs I ran into have been addressed, and keyboard shortcuts on the Mac now feel solid. There are still a few edge cases here and there, but I reported the ones I found, and the developer was responsive and said they’d get them fixed. So far, the pace of improvement has been genuinely impressive.

I’m still keeping my current star rating, though. Despite what I can only imagine is a heroic amount of money being sacrificed to the AI-token gods, the app still feels a little vibe coded in places. Things work, then you stumble into some oddly specific corner and think, “Ah. There it is.”

That doesn’t mean I’ve given up on it. Quite the opposite. I keep trying every new version because the developer clearly listens and the app keeps getting better. I just hope some of that impressive development speed gets redirected into polishing, testing, and sanding down the weird little edges.

Maybe it’s me. Maybe it’s the app. Maybe we just need a few more releases before I’m ready to trust it with the good silverware.

Still watching, still updating, and definitely rooting for it.

Appreciate the support, I'm actually using it on Mac mainly, but I don't delete tasks often so that missing shortcut was a blind spot. Adding lots of keyboard shortcuts in the next version, including deletion, selection, etc!

Works well :)

Great App for Project Management

I really like this app. It works well and does what I need it to do. Honestly, it feels like the developer read my mind—I've been using Apple Reminders for project management and it's been lacking in a number of areas. This app provides the functionality I need as a PM to keep track of all my tasks and it allows me to keep all of my information organized in a way that’s most useful for me. The Apple VisionOS version was a nice surprise too. I use it on my Vision Pro and it's pretty convenient. I’m grateful it’s a one-time purchase and not a subscription and I think the price is incredibly reasonable for the functionality you get.

Fantastic!

By by Trello, and I won’t use Reminder anymore. So well done! Thank you!

Love it

It would be great if syncing via NAS were possible at some point. And if Apple Reminders didn't necessarily have to be imported into a project, but could simply be imported into "Inbox." But otherwise, great app.

Great App - New Tasks Cumbersome on Keyboard

I really like this app. But one major problem exists even after this update today, which is that when you do command N on a Mac, your cursor does not get put into any fields to start typing. You have to use your mouse and click into the field that you want to type. On any other app, it would put the cursor there so you could immediately start typing and not have to take your hand off the keyboard. Also, as an added bonus to that bug, if you close out of the window without doing anything in it, it creates a new column with an untitled event in it. So then you have to delete that column. I would really love this bug fixed right away so that I can use your app with efficiency, please.

Not Ready

I’m sorry but this app just isn’t ready for primetime! Constant crashes on the latest update, files won’t sync among devices, creator doesn’t respond to questions or problems. It’s a good concept but it needs to be refined by a PROFESSIONAL coder and NOT Claude Code!

Good start

I used it. I love it. It’s my first review on an app that I can recall - just want others to see it. It has crashed on me a lot - but when restarted - it didn’t lose any info. I hope it continues to improve!

I need it to organize projects and it does an amazing job at that

He gets it

Brilliantly pulled together, all the key elements with a UI that give things 3 a run for its money. Will only get better over the next few weeks as well given the swift updates.

Great start, but vibe coded edges are very rough

I like the idea of this app and I was sold on trying it after the Mac Power Users episode about it. Almost every gesture or interaction in the app has rough edges that make it clear this was vibe coded. Not saying that’s a death sentence by any means, but it just means the apps need tons more polishing. Things were lagging and breaking for me when trying to just add a new task. I don’t have time to be a beta tester, but I commend Stephen for boldly giving this a shot! I really hope he keeps at it to make it better, I’m rooting for him. I’ll check back in on this app in a few months.

Appreciate this, and working on the rough edges. V1.2.3 is out now and should be much improved!

Excellent app!

So I have had a system of column view in Reminders and an attached Apple Note for my work that involved longer-term items. It was missing some features that I wanted and I didn’t love the two app system. Then Stephen came out with an app and gave me every feature that I didn’t even know I wanted :). This has completely changed my workflow and I absolutely love having my projects, tasks, and notes all in one app. And he keeps improving and adding little features. Well done, sir!

Not ready!

I really want to like/use this app. But it is so buggy! I set up some tasks on my phone. Then when I downloaded this app on my Mac and synced, I lost all my tasks! When I select multiple tasks on the Mac app and try to move them, it sent one to the desired location, sent one to the Inbox, and left the remaining tasks where they were. This app is just not there yet. Has this been tested?

I even went to the help menu to see if maybe if I was doing something wrong and I got the following message: Help isn’t available for Kan Do. It looks to me like this is not a serious app and more of a money grab. Or it is a AI created app that doesn’t really care about the users and their data.

love the simplicity.

it’s really good at doing the simple things. not distracting at all. helps me get things done efficiently. my only suggestion would be to add widgets.

Huge fan, worrying it won’t be maintained

Yo! I purchased this app because I really like the creator and because I like the idea behind the app, however, I do have some qualms with it. I know it’s a new app, and a vibe coded one, but I’ll still provide feedback based on what I’d expect as a customer.

The app is fairly clunky. I find that I have to click a button, like the settings button about 3 times any time I want to open it. Like it doesn’t register my click. Even if I’m missing, just make the collider box bigger. It also is extremely slow when I’m updating mark down in a Kanban task. Markdown is supposed to be lightweight but this part of the app specifically is where the app lags and almost becomes unusable.

My biggest worry with these vibe coded apps and I know I already bought it, I’m not complaining about that, my biggest worry is, how much effort or time will the creator put into maintaining or updating the app. Stephen probably already has a million other things do to. Sooo… I like the creator and the app, but I’m not sure how much hope I have for the future of the app. I’d love to be proven wrong, and I’ll always change my review if I ever feel differently!

Finally, I think the idea is awesome and Stephen being vulnerable and vibe coding something like this is honorable and inspiring. I will always look forward to what Stephen has going on in the future.

Hey Elohnen, appreciate the support! I understand the concern about ongoing support with a vibe coded app. Being an app I personally use daily I plan to maintain for a while, but that's also why I made it a one-time purchase and not a subscription. As far as the performance issues, please use the contact form on my website to share your iOS version and device so I can try and fix that! Same with the settings menu. Appreciate you taking the time to try it.

Keyboard navigation is MIA

It feels that author using iPad as a main device. Probably, everything is designed for touch. I tried simple cmd+delete or just delete and it didn’t work. No wonder no keyboard shortcut work for me. Otherwise, probably, worth the price. But will I use it? Probably not. Simple shortcuts should just work.

Yay. Check this OUT!

This is excellent. Like Trello, but with a lot more formatting options. Congratulations. I look forward to added features and refinements, but this is great as is. ps … make the column title size also scalable, like all the other type … it’s small on my monitor, and seems to be the only thing that can’t be set to be larger. But again, this is a superior way to manage your To Dos. Yay.

Really Good, Fast, And Intuitive Kanban

I’ve tried tried a lot of Kanban apps over the years. I really like the way Kanban can be used to organize lists of things. What has bothered me about all of ht offerings I’ve tried until now is that there’s usually a catch: it is too sluggish (including unreliable syncing) or the interface is terribly convoluted once you get past how the boards themselves look. This app has neither of those issues. It is fast, easy to use, and intuitive.

Wonder task manager

What a great first edition of this app. It has many features that I’ve always wanted from Apple’s Reminders. Most notably: links to tasks, a large view of task notes, attaching files, fast and reliable drag & drop between columns. It’s really good. I look forward to other features being added: filters and smart lists.

première version prometteuse

Cette première version de l'application est très prometteuse. En tant qu'utilisateur actuel de Things 3. Bien que certains éléments soient encore manquants, je suis convaincu que les prochaines versions apporteront des améliorations significatives. Merci

Nice work!!

This is a really nice app! It's so cool that we now have the ability to build something catered to exactly how we want to work. You've done a great job here!
