Love the app, but…
This app is very convenient for locking doors and vehicle info like gas, etc. I wish Kia offered a low cost plan for basic needs such as this.
Poor software + $15/mo
There are barely two or three useful features. No dog mode. How hard is that to code?! $15/mo+ if you want to be able to preheat or cool your car. Total rip off.

Since Kia updated their system my 21 k5 can no longer get app access

This app is an embarrassment to Kia.
The remote entry only works occasionally and then only if it is currently connected. In other words you need to close and open the app each time that you walk up to your car and hope for the best. Forget about opening the passenger door for a guest. If you are lucky enough for it to work you will probably need to walk around to the driver side to unlock the doors. Driver side seems to work about 50% of the time and passenger side about 25%.
If you want to turn charging on and off remotely you better buy a Tesla.

Change key fab start length
Why does the car turn off so quickly when starting with the key fab?
Forward thinking
This is an impressive vehicle. So many of the amenities that comfort passengers missing in other EVs have been addressed in this vehicle.
Too expensive
To Renew subscription is way too expensive. I was told by the dealer that Kia would send me a code for a reduced year rate. But they haven’t. Even after contacting corporate. Very disappointed
Getting started
My call to the support team resulted in a non answer or solution. The team bento be more skilled in addressing and resolving issues related to MSN-short codes being blocked resulting in the failure to verify the phone number linked to an account. This resulted in connecting to two additional support groups to resolve the problem

Terrible app
Constantly makes you log in and doesn’t work when you need it.
Thank you for the reply. That’s unnecessary security. Ford doesn’t do it, Tesla doesn’t do it. It’s super annoying when trying to get into the vehicle or start climate.
Also the app is cluttered. You should literally just copy what Tesla did, verbatim.

Not please regretting buying it.
We are totally frustrated with our new car. So many weird things happening. 1. Used the Valet option once and can’t get it to turn off, called Service and never got a call back. 2. The GPS sent us to literal DEADENDtwice. 3. My Kia Access won’t recognize us. 4. My first payment, I had setup an automatic withdrawal from bank. I never received any notification about taking the payment, so in fear of making my payment late I sent another payment. Now my account shows two payments made. We are not satisfied at all.

This app allows me to remotely manage my vehicle from starting with climate control in both winter and summer at work to checking fuel levels, lock my vehicle and even schedule maintenance
Bad interaction with apple products
The app keeps logging me out when I needed the most. Also, bad interaction with Apple Watch, I was never able to lock or do anything through the watch, so I have to stop doing everything I’m doing and grab my phone, just to realize that I’m logged out from the app, so sign in again, and it won’t recognize my face for Face ID so type or look for the password, wait for a code or email, very inconvenient and doesn’t serve the purpose for what this should be intended. Hopefully it will be fixed soon

I got a canned reply from developers that shows that they don’t know how smart phones work.
“The app will sign out for security purposes. If your phone has Face ID or Touch ID, you can use those to sign into the app quicker.”
They’re doing security theater and being a useless nuisance. If someone can get to the app login screen, the forgot password function only requires access to the related email address or phone number(SMS message) to reset the password. Guess what, you incompetent buffoons, if they can get that far on the device that automatically logged out the app, they have access to both of those reset options already.
I repeat: Stop it. It’s my phone, no one can get to the app without my unlock code or Face ID. Ten failed logins and the device will erase it self. That’s actual security.
