It's just a load of images!!!

No way to tap on keywords to see the definitions etc.

If you're a new player, you have no choice but to use something like Battlekit.

Extremely convenient

Brilliant app, I use regularly but could we have the ability to use it in landscape for tablets please?

Best way to view the rules

This is definitely the best way to view the rules for kill team. The app is intuitive and, in my opinion, easy to use. I like the feature to share and download rules. It means you can print your own data cards. Sure, they are not as good as the ones sold separately but you can’t beat free. My only complaint with the app is there is no way to organize or structure your own games. It feels like a missed feature an missed opportunity to not incide a way to keep score of the games you’d obviously be playing with the help of the rules on this app. It seems like a no brainer and other apps like KTCards have it.

Landscape mode is broken

Used to be able to view the cards sideways but for some reason that’s not working anymore on iPhone.

It is an app?

Like almost everything GW touches with digital content it is lacklustre at best and in most cases worse than anything the fans make. The fact that it isn’t a micro transaction hellscape gets a second star from me.

Works good

The search tool sucks but the information is there. You just have to know where to look!

Why are data cards now in portrait mode?

Worked better when the operative data cards were displayed in landscape view.

Super useful

The app is easy to use, allowing you to quickly find the complete set of information needed for your kill team. It also has the PvE missions in too for reference and the kill team lite rules!

Nice but not as useful

Having the rules available is nice but there are some glaring issues. 1. It would be nice to be able to update all downloaded stuff in one go instead of having to go to each document. 2. There really needs to be an option to manage active games like scoring, etc.

Good not great

Not great: slow to update the app.

Good: quick reference is helpful and easy to print the information.

Low effort

This app is so low effort. There was a great community built app called Kill Team battle kit that did everything right. It made the rules quickly accessible, and easily searchable. This is just a PDF viewer with no consideration of optimizing content for the device in your hand. It’s nice that you can get the team rules for free, but the way that the information is organized, and how inaccessible it is overall compared to Battle Kit is really sad. Games Workshop should have partnered with the creators of battle kit. Instead they took it down and were forced to settle for third-rate.

PDF Viewer

It’s a PDF viewer with some good content but they did they absolute minimum for an app. It’s not formatted to the screen, you can’t buy the rule book. So it’s like someone said they needed an app and then added their existing PDFs to it. At least format it correctly and I’ll even pay you for the faction packs of the kill teams I already own.

Battlekit

Your app is actually garbage, KT battle kit is amazing, no one wants to spend 100$ on paper rules that will be outdated in a week.

How did this get past Apple’s review team?

This app is nothing more than a PDF downloader/viewer made with garbage cross platform tech. There is no valuable functionality that you don’t get by just owning an iPhone.

This is good!

I’m guessing the bad reviews might have been earned at some point? But everything is in this app. As a new player, and a lore guy, this is awesome. Seriously, great job on this GW.

Informative but clumsy

It has all the necessary information, but is poorly navigable. Needs more links, the ability to transition smoothly between a teams data cards, rules, ploys, etc

Free Rules

Something people have complained about with GW products for years is the price of subscriptions/rules. Now they’re free, five stars beautiful work.

Great Companion to Core Rules Book

Love it at the moment, and hope it stays that way. Great companion to the core rules book!

Good but not perfect

Really wish abilities & keywords had links to or reminder text on what they do. Example severe “whenever you make an attack roll with this weapon, if you don’t retain any critical success, upgrade a success to a critical success”

This would be fantastic.

Also personal preference, I wish strategic ploys and firefight ploys were in the same tab for quick and efficient viewing. rather than having to constantly change tabs.

Maybe include in faction supplement a page which includes the faction’s rules and all 8 ploys in one place?

Glorified pdf Reader

Honestly, calling it a “Glorified pdf Reader” is rude, but it’s a step up from gatekeeping rules behind a paywall. The app is fine, 3/5 but dropping due to its inability actually update and notify changes in a useful way. I am finding I need to delete and reinstall to see changes. If that was fixed and additional functions were added, this would be a 4 or even 5 star app.
