Great App
The app works perfectly fine for the most part. Does log me out sometimes but the biometrics help get in soon.
“Working on updates” for 3 years now.
The very core basics seem to work. I can add my credit and pay. The lack of Apple Pay is unfortunate, but it doesn’t affect my rating. After 3 years, I still can’t see my transaction history. They’ve been “adding new features as fast as possible” since we started using the app almost 3 years ago. My son is going to be out of daycare before any actual updates happen.

Frustrating
I have been using this app for my kiddo's daycare but it is really not very well maintained, there has been multiple times the app stoped functioning, the latest is that it takes me 3 tries to sign into the app to check in on my kid. It is slow and generally frustrating to work with compared to other apps I have used.

Need actual “hands free” sign in and biometrics don’t work
We are having to sign in using the “hands free” option but in reality it not hands free at all, as we have to scan a QR code that’s on our phone on the iPad at the school and then complete a few questions on the school iPad. The parent portal should have a QR scanner to scan a QR code on the iPads app, to sign in via our own cellular devices. On top of that it seems that every time I go to sign in, my Face ID isn’t working. And it makes me manually sign in with a user name and password every time.

Updates keep breaking being logged in
Constantly getting logged out most of the time when I opened the application, it’s very annoying, having to log into the app numerous times throughout the day. For the most part of the functionality is useful, but the authentication issues causes major problems
Trash app
This app is trash. I have gone through a few different daycare apps as a parent and this is by far the worst, the settings are awful, there are so many issues and it can’t even keep you signed it. Even if you choose those settings. Every time there are updates there are new issues to manage. Awful.

The app doesn’t remember the login and I have to fill in the password every time! The video download doesn’t work. Terrible functionality.

Our daycare switched over to this app after 6 years of using a different one (that we never had problems with). We’ve had this app for 6+ months now and is terrible. Would not recommend. Some days I have to log in multiple times a day and other times I cannot click on features within the app. I even directly reached out to Kindertales and told them the countless problems me and me and every other parent I’ve talked to has. They told me I needed to adjust my settings and update my app. Things I’ve already done and check regularly. The problem is not me and the other parents the problem is the app. It’s like I’m trying to use an app built in 2005 and they refuse to update. DO NOT RECOMMEND

Hello app team and product managers - the latest update constantly signs you out. This basically makes the app functionally useless. For crying out loud please figure out persistent login.
Video downloads not working

Password reset not working / Biometric sign on disabled
Please fix this problem … experiencing for the past few weeks. I cannot access my day care providers notices as the password reset doesn’t work…. Not worth using until these fixes are implemented
Frustrating update
For starters, accessing documents to print from my child’s daycare is a PITA. It requires visiting the website via desktop to even view the documents. Even in my mobile browsers “view desktop page” mode, it will not allow you to view tax document information.
More so, my wife and I share the same account for our child. When either of us signs in to check updates, it constantly requires entering the username and password to log into the app..Every…Single…Time, whether my phone or hers. At one point, it required resetting the password.

Login disaster
This is awful. Used to be able to login with Face ID, then they took it away. Was able to still login with it remembering the login info, but they eventually removed that too. Now I have to manually log in every time and it’s super frustrating and annoying. Sometimes it doesn’t even load.
Biometric Login removed????
Why would you remove the biometric login? So the app is no longer an app and needs to be used via a browser, coz that is where it’s redirecting! Horrible!
New update is horrible!
Why did you get rid of biometric sign in? Now I need to manually type in a 12 character update every time I want to view a classroom update. You don’t even have password saving. So annoying! Brightwheel has it all over you guys.
Biometric login gone
Why did you remove biometric login?? If the app has logged me out it’s super inconvenient to fumble with a password while doing drop off. Please fix!

Whatever the latest update did already made a useless app even more useless. At least before I was able to navigate and had biometric sign in.
Update killed app
This app was working perfectly fine until two days ago; the update destroyed the functionality of the app, for not just myself but several other hundred parents who use it. Please get this fixed.
