Amazing, Informational App

I recently downloaded this app like a week ago, and I’m really impressed! For a while, I’ve been trying to find a good app where I can learn interesting things about the world (since that’s one of my many interests). And, a lot of apps you have to pay for in order to even start learning! But, with “Kinnu,” even though there’s a subscription, you can still learn a lot of materials for free!! Download this app if you’re curious and/or have a very curious mind!! ✅😊

Amazing app

Alsolutely love this app, learning new things on a long flight. Amazing way to enriching our knowledge

Ai

This app actually looks good. But one look at an ai image and I can no longer trust that your content is correct. Just stop this nonsense. Just stop shoving ai into everything. Especially apps like this.

Free and Fantastic!

I had seen a number of micro learning apps that cost money so I searched for a free one in hopes of finding one. Kinnu is currently free and is fantastic! I have other friends who pay for their micro learning apps and I think Kinnu is at least as good as their’s. The app is organized very well, it motivates you to continue to learn by granting you tiles of a map as you progress so you can see your progression along the way. I find the lessons to be very informative and have adapted some of the information to be used in my middle school English and Lit classes. It has also been very helpful in broadening my knowledge in the subjects I teach. Thank you Kinnu for your app, I LOVE it!

Kinnu

I think this is a fun and fascinating app I could genuinely see myself using often! I just wish it was a bit less buggy.

Great!

Was looking for something to learn something new or refresh my knowledge on things I used to know. This app is great!

Perfect for making down time at work productive.

Recommend for sure no ads and no subscription or anything. It’s refreshing to see that.

Great learning App

Honestly fantastic app. It does a really good job of actually helping you learn and recall material. Kudos to the developers for making it smooth, consistent. I feel like I’m really learning the material vs just read about it once.

Some small things to improve

Over all this app is really great if you want to learn some quick facts. However I wish they cited their sources or provided some more deep dive materials. I also think it would be nice to have a randomized choice, cause sometimes I don’t even know what I want to learn.

Love this free app

Love the opportunity to learn. You can teach an old dog, new tricks…….and for free!!!

Great content, smooth delivery, strong retention system but very poor flashcards

Really enjoying Kinnu as a tool to dip my feet in a very wide range of topics. It's east to pick up, the content is well written and distilled, and the spaced repetition system works well.

My biggest problem is that the flashcards are very poor. They don't actually target key concepts, but rather arbitrary facts and associations. I find myself ignorning most because they don't target what I find valuable to remember, and the need to make my own just increases.

Concrete example:

Q: Which of the following accurately describes the Norfolk crop rotation?

A1: Challenged during the Enlightenment
A2: Agricultural practice from the second agricultural revolution
A3: Improved but imperfect after industrial changes

None of these tell me what the crop rotation is, what it does, or why it s important.

I'd prefer something like:

The C1(Norfolk four-course system) revolutionized agriculture by rotating C2(Wheat, Turnips, Barley, and Clover), which eliminated the need for C2(fallow / empty) land.

That's how I would set up my own flashcard.

Another example is one where I'm supposed to say what happened in a year, say 1492.

I'm much less interested in knowing that Columbus's voyage happened in 1492, than I am in knowing why it's important.

I wish there was a way to rate flashcards so they can hopefully be improved, but even editing ones did not actually prompt changes (even when editing was a genuine typo flag).

Still a great app, but skipping most flashcards is what I end up doing.

great app

genuinely awesome app. It’s free, the courses are well made (even though they are ai), and it’s just so good, and free? I was shocked that an app this good was free. Please don’t ever change. Also add law as a course pls.

Interesting

A week in and I find this app interesting and I am enjoying it very much.

Use of AI is not mentioned

The idea for this app is great but its let down by its widespread use of generative AI. They mention this nowhere in the app or the app store, and I had to look it up. Found multiple articles on how they use AI for almost everything. How am I meant to trust this app and its “knowledge” if its all written by a machine? Wish I’d deleted the app sooner.

Kinnu addicted

Kinnu fills in the gaps for an old fart like me - refreshing

I love it but not the ai images

I love the info it taught me many things but not everything needs an image I rather not have that much images than many images ai it would have been 5 stars without the ai tho.

Finally—An App That Makes Curiosity Limitless

Kinnu has completely transformed the way I learn. The app makes it effortless to explore just about any topic I’m curious about—science, psychology, self-improvement, and so much more. Everything is presented in a way that’s engaging, beautifully structured, and genuinely fun.

One of my favorite touches is the origami artwork for each pathway. It gives every topic its own personality and makes the whole experience feel thoughtful and handcrafted. It’s such a small detail, but it adds so much charm.

And the best part? It’s all truly free. No ads, no subscription fees, no interruptions—just pure, uninterrupted learning whenever inspiration strikes.

Kinnu respects your curiosity and your attention in a way that’s incredibly rare. If you love learning or want to build a new habit without any barriers, this app is an absolute gem.
