Would like it more if it was like the anz app where you get real time notifications when you receive money into your account
There is a potential to be better
It would be awesome if the app gives real time notification of debits and deposits in real time (not only with sms with has a considerable delay). Also it needs a new design. It’s so old fashion.

App is easy to use. Only downside I’ve found is the app not being able to notify me of any deposit or transactions into my phone.

No option to turn off PayWave in the Kiwibank app
Kiwibank’s card management features are not convenient enough. What disappoints me most is that there is no option in the app to turn off PayWave / contactless payments.
Many other banks, such as BNZ and ASB, allow customers to turn contactless payments on or off by themselves in the app. This gives users more control, especially if they are worried about accidental payments, card fraud, or simply want better account security.
However, Kiwibank does not provide this feature, so customers have very limited control and may need to contact the bank for help. Contactless payment is convenient, but not everyone wants it enabled all the time. I hope Kiwibank can improve its app and add an option to turn PayWave / contactless payments on or off.

Acceptable but not Exceptional!
Very average banking app with no exceptional features. There are a few extras I would like:
1. Search history minimum of 5 years and able to download as txt, csv or pdf and forward to email.
2. Setup web cards (visa & master) that can be used for one-off transactions or dedicated to specific e-shops, i.e. Amazon, Apple, or your local Pizza shop when you order online.

Changes needed
I get the need to have warnings for scams etc, but if I am paying the same people week in and week out, can it remember that it’s not a scam?
Same with changing APs… it’s already there, it predates the dinosaurs, pretty sure rent is a scam anyway, but I still have to pay it…

Rubbish
As they say get what you pay for. Rubbish app never works locks you out for no reason. Thankfully only have 1 account there. Would never transfer any other accounts.

Always used this app when shopping or paying accounts. Easy to use and very helpful.
Update?
Why does it need constant updating? Not easy if you are travelling.

Good basic functions but still won't notify for transactions, deposits/withdrawls or low balance thresholds for upcoming scheduled payments etc

Slow, laggy
The amount of time it takes to launch, login and then wait to load while standing at the checkout is the longest 30s of your live. BNZ is faster

Why is your bank app still not supporting iOS Liquid Glass? This is basic stuff. Every other app updated already. Yours looks old and broken.
You’re a bank, not some small garage startup. If you can’t even keep up with iOS updates, how can people trust you with their money?
