Terrible experience 2hrs wasted

I wasn’t even able to rent a bike after spending an hour trying to connect.(took me an hour to get to the location) I can’t imagine trying to end the rental if I was able to actually rent the bike.

TERRIBLE!!!

It won’t let you see how much it cost before you commit.
$25 for 30 minutes, that’s not even for an electric bike it’s pedal only.
The seats won’t go up very hard on the knees!
We got back three minutes early, but it would not end our time because the bike would not lock.
RIPE OFF!

Scam

The bike was easy enough to rent, but when I was trying to end my ride after 34 minutes, it kept on telling me that I wasn’t at a hub and that I was going to have to pay $10 penalty fee. I was in fact at a hub. and I kept on following the prompts to end the ride. I tried to message through the app but that wasn’t going through either. The only way it would let me finish. My ride was if I agreed to pay the $10 penalty and when I paid the $10 penalty. Less than 1 star.

Camera keeps breaking

Firstly, this is not an issue with my settings. Let it be known that the camera feature constantly breaks, making it impossible to scan QR codes. Restarting my phone fixes this, but it costs 3 minutes every time.

Route 66 rail trail

We gave this a try and biked 40 miles today and it was super easy to use the app to unlock and re-lock the bike bikes were super efficient easy to ride. We had a great experience.

Neat idea but walking is cheaper

It’s a neat idea but 4$ an hour price tag deters me from trying the experience when I can walk for free. Wanted to see if my dog would run along side the bike but $8 is more than minimum wage for an hour here so I think the price is barely affordable. I’m aware that this might not have anything to do with the Koloni app, but I’m not sure what the process is as the middle man for the bike share app and the company renting out bikes.

I live in Crawford county so the price is high when minimum wage is standard as 7.50 some places, and I don’t think the CATA has rented out enough to make the venture successful. In fact they probably lost money on the venture. I hardly ever see anyone using the bikes but someone did steal a bike once, which they recouped, and the parts had been stolen before. I don’t understand how they are expensive bikes as they say as they look spindly and rather fragile. At 192lb I’m rather tentative to even try them.

I may try them once time but I can’t see me paying the price to rent for two hours. And if there is a hold fee, where it charges a temporary hold, absolutely not. And there’s no way of knowing if they would charge one until you try and get the surprise hold charge taking away your ability to buy lunch that afternoon.

I’d just rather not risk it.

Terrible

Had issues with returning a bike and was charged a $20 penalty fee. Proved that I actually returned the bike so they could refund me. They said they refunded me but still no $20 returned yet.

Poorly Functional App

Good idea with the most horrid of executions, barely functional application. The developers who coded this should be ashamed of themselves for wasting brainpower on such a useless application.

Took my money with no response

Rented a bicycle on Binghampton campus, difficult to pedal, app would not let me finish the ride

Paid over 58 USD

For a 39 min ride. The app asked me to pay a 10 usd for not being at a hub (which I was) plus 48 USD because the app didn’t let me close the bike although physically it was.

Bike rental in Bellevue Iowa

Downloaded app, went through all the steps, created account, entered payment info. Scanned the QR code and nothing happens. It’s like the app doesn’t proceed to final step or doesn’t recognize the QR code.

Extremely frustrating experience — would not recommend

I’ve had constant issues with locking and unlocking the bikes using the KOLONI system. Almost every time, something goes wrong, and I’m asked to take and upload a photo with my issue report — which I do, but it doesn’t seem to help.

Most recently, I tried to rent one bike, but the scanner somehow captured a second bike nearby. I couldn’t end the rental on either one properly. As a result, I was charged for two separate rentals — both showing as 46 hours long, even though I only rode a single bike for 1 hour. I was charged $96 for each rental, which is completely unreasonable.

I emailed customer service right away and explained everything, asking for a refund. No one ever replied. No resolution, no support.

This company’s system is unreliable and their customer service is non-existent. Use another bike rental service if you don’t want to risk surprise charges and complete silence when you ask for help

Terrible support

I was charged 15$ and was unable to get the lock to unlock. There is no contact for support other than email!

Where are the bikes??

We’ve gone to three spots that the app says has bikes. None of the spots did. Do not say there are bikes to rent if there are no bikes there!

No bikes

App is showing bikes located all over Aurora, but all the stalls are empty. Horrible experience walking around aimlessly. Need to alert customers when there are actually no bikes available.

Do better

This only gets 1 star because of the reasonable rental price of $2/hour. Otherwise we were disappointed with the bikes (in Morristown NJ). I am a little under 5’6”, I put up the seat all the way, and it was still too short. Needless to say it was ridiculously short, really unusable, for my over 6 foot boyfriend. This means that the bikes would be too short for the majority of people, as I am average height for a woman. Additionally, one of the bikes needed repairs as it made a constant, very loud squeak. I love the idea of publicly accessible, cheap rentable bikes, but improvements need to be made.

Willmar bikes

This app is terrible; don't use it. I had to pay extra or the penalty of $10.00 to stop the rental timer because it kept charging me even after I returned the bike and locked it.

Terrible

Charged for hours and multiple fees when the app broke and the bike was correctly returned. Almost 0 support, no one to call. Broke

Lot of issues

I first tried one rental and it never unlock well the bike, then I was able to unlock two other then used for 48 minutes and then was no able to close the rental and still running after 9 hour despite I raised ticked as per the procedure indicate in the app, no answer from support neither a way to follow up or call for support
