I have tried repeatedly to cancel this subscription and they keep charging my credit card!!

Working on Lasting Change

Just getting started on this self care journey .. I am going in hopeful !💕

It’s good

Hi. I like it

Unknown $42.49 charge

Bought the book a few weeks ago and now I get charged an extra $42.49 on my visa. I google it and apparently this company does secret charges that are hard to cancel and get refunded, and customer service sucks. Hopefully I can get this cancelled and refunded or I’ll be filing a complaint with BBB.

Fraudulent activity

Be aware that this company scams. I have had numerous payments taken out and have contacted the company numerous times they sent a cancellation and then proceeded to take more payments out of my account. Closing bank account due to this scamming company, so disappointed! So be aware!!!!

Scam

I just got charged for a subscription I had no knowledge of being enrolled in. I am
So angry if it wasn’t for my bank
I probably never would have known. It’s really not cool You sneak in a subscription after all ready paying so much.

❤️ Love the Customization Options

As a developer, the ability to add my own customized trackers is wonderful. The only drawback is the price, especially for retirees or disabled people. It is just too steep. But, as the app goes, it is a wonderful app.

Lithuanian based company- shady practices

Review: Lasting Change

I’m sharing my experience so others don’t get caught off guard. Lasting Change offers what appears to be a “free month of membership,” but they hide the fact that they will begin charging you monthly many months afterward. Canceling is extremely difficult because the subscription isn’t set up through any normal or transparent subscription service.

I provided proof that I only purchased their book last January 2025–receipts and all. Despite that, they began charging me around $30 per month starting in September without my knowledge or consent. When I contacted them, they refused to refund any of the charges.

In my experience, this Lithuanian‑based company relies on aggressive advertising (put a LC book in your cart and see how low they will reduce the price if you don’t buy right away) and questionable business practices. I strongly recommend avoiding them so you don’t end up in the same situation.

Scam! Don’t fall for it

The book is copy and pasted and honestly not helpful really. I was charged $30.99 MONTHLY for this app without even downloading it!!! When I reached out to clear the misunderstanding and get a refund the support team said they are sorry but they don’t issue out refunds unless it’s their fault directly… umm yea they are scammy and RUDE! Don’t fall for it.

Subscribes you without your knowledge or consent

During the checkout process, I explicitly unselected the app option because I was interested in the physical book only. Several weeks later, I was charged $30.99, apparently for a recurring subscription I did not sign up for and which was not clearly outlined during the purchasing process. Customer Service declined to refund me and repeatedly lied that the subscription details are set forth during checkout (so I went back and ran through the process again; they are not) and pointed me to the Terms and Conditions. The fact of an automatic subscription is not even explained in the Terms and Conditions. This company is engaging in consumer fraud to squeeze pennies out of you. 0/10 recommend. Edited pursuant to the developer’s response: the app is not offered as an opt-in during checkout, you are automatically subscribed to it with a purchase of the physical book. And they do not describe the payment terms, though they did add a disclaimer beneath the consent to the terms and conditions in response to my email back-and-forth with them calling out their scam (and then proceeded to lie to me that it had been there all along when I have screenshots contradicting that).

Walking Yoga a scam

The subscription was taken from my bank account without my consent. They had emailed me but the email went into spam. They will not refund my money. Do not use this company.

Attempted extra charges

Decided to purchase this book because what the hell why not. The book was OK but overall not anything I didn’t already know. I got a fraudulent alert for a $30.99 charge to my Apple Card about a month later. I never signed up for any online or app things with this company. Luckily it was my Apple Card and they caught the fraud and contacted me.

Subscription

Be aware!!! Feels scammy. Book wasn’t that helpful I didn’t get what I would have wanted to out of it at all. App- I specifically recall canceling a year ago and deleting. Unbeknownst to me through PayPal I have been charged $54 every 3 months for an entire year. I wasn’t using PayPal for a period of time so I wasn’t seeing these charges. Redownloaded it and saw this going on. I was very confused because additionally it isn’t charged under Lasting Change- you’ll get charged by medical score or Effecto App. You will get zero reminders ever of this subscription. You will also get zero communication from the company like newsletters or anything of that sort. They’ll never even email you like most companies like this will checking in to see if you’re enjoying their product/giving tips/advice/ etc. They will charge you over and over again in hopes you don’t notice. You cannot simply cancel on their website you have to email them- fortunately they did this without hassle. They will not refund you for any of this either. Even if you email them the day the charge occurred. I fell for the book and the scam. It’s not worth it truly. Avoid!

Don’t fall for this!

Be aware that if you purchase the Lasting Change book that they continually advertise and offer at lower and lower prices until you bite…there is a catch. The app that appears to accompany the book and program is a “subscription” and they will continue to charge you over $30 a month for it. Not only that but they refuse to give refunds once you catch it. You have to contact them to cancel it before the charges will stop. I felt tricked and am not even impressed with the book. I cannot believe I spent my hard earned money for this. I have learned a hard lesson.

Total bull

Complete rubbish it's a scam be aware

Misleading checkout, feels like a scam

I intended to purchase only a book for £62.99. After clicking pay, I was taken to another page that suggested adding a “lifelong subscription” priced at £74.69. The way this was presented made it appear as though this amount was simply the difference between the original price and the higher total — not an additional £74.69 charge.

There was no clear price breakdown, no comparison to other options, and no explicit confirmation step showing the full amount being charged. I wasn’t even clearly told I was making a second purchase. I only realised what had happened after receiving two separate receipt emails.

I contacted the company immediately, explaining that I had no intention of buying lifelong content. Their response was to hide behind Terms and Conditions and refuse any refund, while trying to reframe the situation as “great value.”

The checkout process was misleading, the pricing was unclear, and the lack of transparency feels deceptive. This experience honestly feels like a scam, and the refusal to correct it makes it worse.

I would strongly caution others before purchasing from this company.

Boring and useless

This app paints a pretty picture but is confusing to use, offers no options to create a habit tracker as such and is boring. There is no incentive for me to use this over a piece of paper with notes on - which would be more attractive as seeing progress would be a reward for your habit formation.
It is so over priced - there is no value add for having this app. It doesn’t sync with any other trackers and every little thing you want to track has to be manually added.
When you approach support - you get a condescending‘I’m sorry for your frustration’ response and a very little support.
My recommendation would be get an app that encourages habit formation - something fun like Finch - or something that gives you a little quote or a pic as a reward to stimulate the dopamine response required for habit formation.
This is a trash app that has no real use except making you feel like you have been scammed of your hard earned money.
Do not waste your money.

Lasting Changes

I’m really believing that 2026 is my year for lasting changes and I know this app is going to help me with daily reminders.
