Hits and Misses
Build quality of cam is outstanding and worthy of Lexus branding. Connectivity via OEM Y-Harness makes for a clean fit that facilitates DIY installation (in spite of the confusing printed instructions). Luckily there’s an abundance of online resources for this cam and it’s Toyota labeled brethren. Was able to substitute a 128GB SD Card for the meager 16GB that came with the cam. App is adequate for basic file storage, viewing, and access. Just don’t expect data processing speeds you get from your PC, laptop or tablet - it’s just a simple CCD camera with onboard SD storage and rudimentary WiFi connectivity primarily for file transfer. Considering it cost me under $300 for the cam, harness, and 128GB SD card - and installed the unit myself, I consider this a great product that meets or exceeds the needs of most drivers. Lastly, the Lexus badging it instills more confidence in quality and performance than any of the oddly named CCP made products.

It doesn’t work. It’s been 8 months since I got the car with the camera and the dealer hasn’t been able to fix it yet
Very slow
I just installed my dash cam yesterday and tried to preview my recordings and I am not able to view any of my recordings. It only works when downloaded. If I click preview on the downloads tab there is mo way to exit from the video mode screen. I have to close the app and open it again to go to home screen again. The quality brand of Lexus should be across all platforms. Hope I can see some improvements after this review. I bought this because I believe in Lexus brand. Don’t let people rethink and use other brands.

Completely broken!
Dash cam WiFi connects, but app does not do anything further.
Doesn’t work with iPhone iOS 17 or above
I posted this preciously but seems to have been removed — this app will not work with any iPhone running iOS 17 or above. Last known iOS that works is iOS 16 and below which is on older iPhones X and below. I have confirmed this with Lexus corporate as a known issue that is still unresolved since I contacted in December 2024 and officially have an unresolved case number issued in July 2025. Now it’s Dec 15 and nx450h+ is back at dealership for oil change and seeing if there’s any firmware updates for the dashcam to fix this known issue! I’m told Android phones work fine just not Apple iPhones!

Complete beat down
Have to connect to a new WiFi to try to download anything and it times out. As someone savvy with tech I find this almost impossible and a complete beat down to get a video off this camera. No way any average person would be able to use this.
Doesn’t download videos
It just displays the twirling icon and then the app crashes. This is after fighting with it for 15 minutes just to get it to connect. I can’t describe how disappointed I am after spending $600+ on this.

I regret buying the Lexus Dashcam. It simply does not work the way it should. In order to even view recordings, I have to disconnect my Apple CarPlay, which is a huge inconvenience. The system is unbearably slow—live view never loads, and most of my files won’t load at all. I can’t just log into the app to check recordings because nothing shows up there. Instead, I’m forced to connect directly to the dashcam, and even then, only a few recordings actually load.
For the high price I paid, this is by far the worst money I’ve spent. The product is unreliable, frustrating, and not worth the cost. Lexus should stand behind their product and offer refunds because I would gladly return this dashcam if I could.

Terrible App
Connecting to the dash cam through the app is frustrating. Sometimes it works on the fifth try and sometimes it never connects. Huge waste of time and money.
Useless
Terrible app 99% of the time I cannot connect and the livestream never worked for me.
Works Great
If you follow the instructions and disconnect Bluetooth, it connects and transfers file easily and with great quality.
App works as expected
App works as expected. Was able to view and download all video clips. Processing was slow but was to be expected. If you wish for fast processing, get a SD card reader. Too many technology impaired reviewers.
Camara
Lexus has good SUVs, but this camera app is rubbish. You can't see the files in the memory. I understand I wasted my money on this camera.
Poor quality all around
Bad user experience all around. Please conduct some competitive research to see where the app is lacking. Here’s my list: clunky connectivity (need to disconnect from CarPlay? Really?), slow transfer speeds, user interface is NOT intuitive (can I download clips to my phone’s library? I thought the download button did this but apparently not, no ability to sort/filter by time (have to scroll through random file names to find what I’m looking for), poor quality video, can’t send videos directly within the app.

Won’t work with new iOS
It simply doesn’t work!!! Solution is to take out the micro SD card and use a card reader to view images. That makes absolutely no sense if you need to view an incident to show to authorities at the scene.
It certainly looks good in the car, but functionality is awful.
Called Lexus customer service with no success. Apparently they don’t understand the problem or don’t care. Should be an easy fix for whomever writes the software ON BEHALF OF LEXUS AND TOYOTA!!!!

Download Data Phone — No way
Can the developers please update the app so one can download a few minutes of video to pictures then access the video file ?
Trouble Connecting
I had a 360 dash cam (front and rear) installed the other day and immediately downloaded this app. I attempted to connect my iPhone to the Wi-Fi on the dash cam multiple times each time it failed. I went and watched tutorial videos right through the connection, troubleshooting slides, and eventually stumbled upon a YouTube page that if your phone has a VPN, then it will not allow you to connect to the dash cam’s Wi-Fi. The next day, I disabled my VPN on my iPhone as well as disconnected it from my vehicle’s bluetooth, not until then was I finally able to connect the dash cam’s WiFi.
Once I set up my account on the app I noticed how clunky the site is and it still doesn’t show video for my rear camera. I’ve put in a call with my Lexus service advisor who is going to find someone that knows more about the 360 dash cam and they are to call me back.
I also want a note that it is very annoying That I have to disable my VPN and disconnect my iPhone from the vehicles Bluetooth every time I want to at videos recorded by my dash cam.

Live view & stored videos won’t work on iOS 17 or later!!
I downloaded this Lexus viewer because the latest lexus main app won’t work on any iPhones running iOS 17 or higher. I confirmed that iOS 16 works using an old iPhone 8 running iOS16 on the regular Lexus app. My hope was this newly released Lexus viewer app would help address the iOS 17 and 18 issues, but this app won’t even connect at all to an 2025 Lexus nx450h+ with factory installed dashcam.
At least the regular Lexus app will connect with iOS 17 you just can’t view any saved recordings nor does live view work either. So I have to carry a microSD reader inside the glove compartment just in case of a crash to show footage to the police. For Lexus vehicle they need to get their act together and fix these apps. I even contacted Lexus corporate care and they don’t even care and just told us to work with our local dealer — very poor customer service!!
