Predatory service for renters.
This is definitely a predatory service that takes one months rent payment to place an “approval” stamp on the same application that was denied. that one months rent doesn’t go towards anything. And doesn’t benefit the renter in any capacity. What happens is this company assumes the “risk” so the apartment isn’t involved in collecting the debt from a renter that’s been evicted. I asked what are the guidelines to getting approved through their service and the customer service rep couldn’t tell me, which means there aren’t any guidelines to being approved or denied. I then further asked him to give me an example of a case that was denied and he couldn’t provide one. Look, I’m always against companies that mask taking advantage of someone in desperate need as “providing a service” especially when you’re not actually doing anything besides pocketing a couple grand. Keep in mind, all companies are started with the goal of making a profit. Some do so, unethically masked as “helpful” services that actually just prey on the disenfranchised. Legal scams.
