LIFX Switch is the LIFXApp
This is not a smart switch. It’s a scam designed to lock you into the app.
The HomeKit setup process works just far. You get through the pairing, it shows up, and the basic setup features appear to complete. Then it completely fails to work properly with Any smart home ecosystem. You can’t even program the buttons or create scenes in Apple HomeKit, SmartThings, or Amazon Alexa…Controls don’t respond reliably, and you’re left with a switch that only functions the way LIFX wants it to — inside their own app.
If you want a smart wall switch that is only meant to look good, that’s about all this is good for. If you’re happy living entirely inside the LIFX app and don’t care about native HomeKit, Siri, or smart Home integration, then this might be fine for you. For everyone else, it’s a deliberate bait-and-switch. They advertise smart-home compatibility, give you just enough of the setup flow to feel official, then force you onto their proprietary app to actually use the product.

Doesnt work anymore?
Strong WiFi, powered on, bulbs keep disconnecting and now I cannot get them to reconnect.

When open or left open, app will often increase temperature of phone. as soon as it's closed, temperatures return to normal. needs to highlight the active saved scene also.
Still need Routines for Switch Backlights and matter upgrade function no longer working
We need to be able to schedule the brightness and color of switches I don’t need bright blue at night.
After the latest update I am no longer able to load my list of matter devices in the app it gives the “unable to fetch” error

Mixed feelings
This app is great and it’s also not so great bad. It’s not just the app’s fault It’s connection issues, router issues.

Awful!
The light bulbs do not connect at all to this app. If by some slim change 1 of the 4 bulbs in my dining room light does connect, it doesn’t last and immediately disconnects again.
Round down and upring light
This light has been giving me connection issues since I bought it two months ago. Connection never lasted more than 2 minutes and I am going insane.
Can be a bit confusing at times.
I like the app. I love the features and effects and the colour themes I can choose from. I have two lamps in my room and my favourite effect is that I can choose two different colour themes and I can sync both of the lamps to the music but they respond to the opposite beats. What I found challenging is that the settings I put them on won't stay locked in. I have to fiddle with the settingss too often. Which is frustrating because I enjoy thisnlarticular setting when I'm relaxing after a rough day or studying (I found it helps me concentrate). My focus is broken because the settings all of a sudden stop working. I would also like it if the colours were brighter as in the hue not the light brightness. I guess the word would be vivid. Also. The themes could be updates more often and not just because of a sporting event.

Every Single Time.
I don't understand how hard it is to create a damn light to stay connected to the wifi? Is this something that is just too hard to achieve? Can you hire anyone with any ounce of clue how to keep the damn thing connected? Her derrr! Can never turn my damn lights off because it decides one light isn't connected and won't connect, just loads until it randomly turns on.

Widgets still not working
This is amateur hour UX. Lights randomly loose connection, need cold restart. It still takes a long time to download the list of scenes, no idea why is that such an insurmountable tech problem . Unfortunately I have 5 of these lights, big regrets there. Give this bunch of amateurs a wide berth!
Rubbish update
Since the last update to the app, connecting is a huge challenge, continuously reset and recycling power, years of trouble free use, latest update a broken what did not need fixing.
Buggy
The most basic functionally is buggy. Please make on/off switch work reliably before you invest effort into gimmicks like candle flickering

An absolute nightmare to keep connected
Support for this device and app are not great. Customer support contacts just go in circles. I’ve had the misfortune of buying two of these, so we’re now “shame on me”. There won’t be a third. The light disconnects from the app several times a year. It used to be somewhat of a pain to reconnect. But LiFX upped their game and now it’s an absolute nightmare. It always has to be manually configured, which also means HomeKit won’t be supported. And any light schedules will have to be deleted and readded because once the pairing fails, the associated schedule loses the ability to be edited. Wonderful product. It’s not really a smart light. It’s just a light.

Constant UI Changes
Been using this app for years and they STILL have not settled on how they want to display the settings. Feels like every update they completely revamp it. I'm sick of it, and I especially hate this circle they keep trying to force for the "whites". Doesn't make sense. It's a temp for the whites. Two things. Warm and cool. Not 3. With the RGB stuff, the circle makes sense because there are 3 colors, but not with the whites.
It works fine, and some of the changes CAN be neat like with the effects they introduced awhile back, but PLEASE stop changing around the basics. PLEASE.
