Causes anxiety and distracting
If you have an interview ask them do they have Lightfoot in the vans if they do RUN , I told my company, I go or the Lightfoot goes ,simple , and it went
Useless
Big brother watching when you let engine warm up to defrost in winter sending penalties
Has its purpose
I can really see its purpose, however it also has its faults and sometimes can become quite dangerous when, coming off a slip road onto a motorway for example.
Delivery driver of 20 years
Dangerous you can’t pull out onto a fast main road without getting penalty points this system is all about saving fuel for company’s and absolutely not about road safety if anything it makes delivery vehicles drive dangerously
Keeps telling me update available
The app keeps telling me an update is available, but when I go to the App Store it’s not. Also this does not take into consideration the acceleration required to enter a national speed limit road from a minor road with a short onslip in busy traffic.
Bemused
World has officially gone mad if this is how driving is measured. Has a mind of its own. Gives you a warning for getting up to speed to safely join a motorway yet gives you 99% award for driving 20mph on a dual carriageway. Whoever markets this has got to be the salesperson of the year 😂😂😂😂
Dangerous
Lightfoot should be illegal. It promotes dangerous driving as others have already mentioned. Of course Lightfoot will never admit this because they’d go out of business. I wonder if Lightfoot directors have it installed…
Annoying but could be way worse
Lightfoot, in terms of black boxes are amazing as it doesn’t judge you for many things.
Although it is damn annoying. Like when I was revercing in the yard I got an idling penalty! Whilst moving! Additionally one of the main criticisms of lightfoot is it doesn’t work on slip roads. I don’t know if lightfoot has gps in it but I would think it does and if it does then it’s so damn easy to code it to calm itself on slip roads
One last thing, I utilise the cruise control often and if I turn up the speed it always says go steady. Lad I’m not even accelerating it, tell the van computer ffs. Unfortunately that’d be very hard to code so fair enough
One last thing. Which is why it’s not one star is that it seriously could’ve been a lot worse for us drivers, if this was a Hastings, ticker or insurethebox it would be proper 1984 and makes driving which is the hobby I enjoy, unenjoyable. Can you tell I hate black boxes? 🤣🤣🤣

Mixed bag
It’s ok when it’s working , great fun driving responsibility with the chance of winning prizes ( which I often do ) ..
Useless and dangerous
Can’t even take over a cyclist but you get nudged. Pulling out a junction takes forever to gain speed infuriates other drivers all just to get some lights green. Ridiculous
Crude driver monitoring
Awful. Picks up throttle parameters etc from the OBD port together with what I assume is an in built accelerometer to come up with a score. Has nothing to do with how well you drive.
Just unplug it from the OBD port and drive in a responsible fashion.

Dangerous
This is dangerous to say the lest.
This cannot be calibrated correctly, I drive mostly on country roads and need a full range of revs, you need to put your foot down when pulling out of junction, specially the ones on corners,so you don’t get hit from something coming round the corner. Not only that when pulling on to a dual carriageways, even articulated lorry’s pull out faster than I can without getting a penalty.
This hasn’t improved my driving.

Useless in automatic vehicles
Keep on being told to ‘go steady’, ‘warning issued’ and ‘penalty recurved’ when on an otherwise flat straight motorway because I may choose to drive at 60mph and my vehicle wants to be in 6th gear. Lightfoot on the other hand wants to be in 7th and I get the aforementioned warnings incessantly sounding to the point where I wish I could just rip the piece of proverbial off the windscreen and dump it in the hardshoulder where it belongs. If I go with the Lightfoot recommendation in this scenario, the MPG on the trip computer reduces and the engine feels like it is labouring as I’m having to put my foot down more to maintain the chosen speed- so much for having a lightfoot.
It’s an annoying gimmick that unfortunately transport managers have been suckered into by the marketing hype. In the real world it’s a distracting nuisance and I just wish I could shut the audible nagging off completely - instead. Maybe a bit of epoxy in the speaker might help.
As for the so called prizes; you’d be lucky to win £2 yet alone a £100 or any of the other prizes. The product is a con and I can’t wait till the day comes where either the company goes under or the transport managers come to their senses and bin these devices :-)
I’d happily remove it and put it under the front wheel of my vehicle and put the gearbox into DRIVE…

Dangerous as encouraging slow entry to motorways and dual carriageways. Led and annoying voiceover a distraction. How do you disconnect that attachment.
Why why why
As a driving instructor, I think this gadget needs a lot more thought.
1. You get penalised for running the engine as you deice, or making sure all the windows are clear.
2. You get penalised If you are stuck in traffic. I suppose I could turn the engine off and get cold, then the window will fog up, and now it’s not safe to drive.
3. The voice and lights are a distraction, and annoying.
4. It flashes and talks to you, as you are merging on a busy slip road. Did I mention distracting.
5. It needs volume control on the voice.
6. It needs a more realistic approach to driving.
I’ve only had it a week, thinking of covering the lights, muffling the sound and deleting the app.

Doesn’t update properly.
Back down again, drove yesterday, still showing me data from 3 days ago.
Biggest pile of ****
It’s dangerous and an excuse for employers to point fingers at you. You say elite is 85% but what happens when your employer wants you at 95%. As mine do. You touch the pedal to enter a roundabout or motorway and you get knock down the points. They are constantly messing with the van’s electrics. Never get calibrated. Yet get told they can be calibrated online which makes no sense. Would rather a tracker fitted than this ****. Didn’t need a lightfoot to pass my test so why now. 🫡

Go Steady!!
I love this device. It’s a great addition to my daily stresses. It gives the company I work for a pretty hefty discount on insurance for all the vans they have.
Downright Dangerous.
I cannot believe this is actually legal. This thing is ridiculous and frankly, dangerous. It's impossible to safely accelerate to a sensible speed when crossing or joining a dual carriageway, entering a roundabout, or accelerating on a motorway slip road, without hitting the orange or red lights and getting a warning. Even increasing my vans speed from 50 to 51mph with the cruise control, on a flat road, will bring on 2 or 3 green lights, go from 50-55mph and you’re almost in the red! I've read the developer replies, and it seems they've made 100% unachievable, which is ludicrous.
