This app is problematic and doesn’t allow for smooth transfers from one device to another. Don’t store anything important on it!
Room for Potential
Only thing this app needs is Picture in Picture video calls like Apple’s FaceTime or WhatsApp. I should be able to be on a video call in a small window while using another app.
Tuned in to money grab company after all.
The today’s update changed a lot of great feature they added, (for example: silent message) to a subscription feature.
Very dissapointing how companies now days just keeps on trying to make us look like sheep’s. Time to use other messaging apps. Bye bye

Zero support
What a horrible app. Unable to log back in to my account after getting a new phone. Not with my Apple account. Not with my phone number, because, although I used my US based phone number to register, now you can’t receive a verification code with a US phone number. Their solution: Use a phone number from Japan. Perfect… Message support and you get no reply at all.

Was good up until a month ago i updated the app then when i went to login it told me that i was suspended i can not login to it no matter what i try is it just the United States number having this issue needs to be fixed
LOCKED OUT
I can’t transfer to my new phone and I’m completely locked out by their overly paranoid system. Furthermore the customer service is absolutely atrocious and impenetrable. Finally the emojis suck and the upload speed is glacial. Better to use something else.
Can’t add friends.
I can not add friends through line id search.
Account Transfer
If you live in the US, have LINE on your phone, and it breaks or dies, kiss your access goodbye. You can’t log in with your phone number, they’ll keep telling you to use your broken or dead device. Apple or Google options also make you use your old device. It will only send a code to your LINE account that you’re locked out of, no email or phone number option. Goodbye to friends and family from around the world, you’re just cooked and they don’t help their customers either!

If you change your phone you lose Line
I change my phone and is impossible to get back my account. More than this I can’t create a new account. Line is really bad avoid this service!
If I could leave zero stars I would
I got a new phone and wasn’t aware of transferring using the QR code… how can I when my old phone is no longer with me? Customer service is nonexistent as even if you fill out a help form they will tell to just make a new Apple ID. Bro, I’m not making a whole new id when all my other stuff is tied to my current one. This is really dumb.

Can’t login
Can’t login on my new iphone. Transfer wont work without previous phone (which was traded in) no solution terrible.
Randomly blocked
Line has randomly blocked my account for the year now. Looking online they seem to do this foreigners all the time. They gave me a month then after it was unblocked, they still don’t let me message others.

If you’re Japanese then you’ll probably be alright but stay away if you’re foreign. They seem to have it in for white people particularly.
It’s impossible to contact line to solve this too btw or if it is, it’s very hidden.
Honestly avoid this app like the plague it’s terrible in many ways

Useless App
If you don’t allow a user register with an US phone number, so just simply remove it from the US app market and they won’t annoy you any longer instead you annoying people in the US to pretend you support services in the US.
Not able to do Account transfer
Same thing as the other review. I can’t transfer my account with my American number when I was able to before. Why? Can someone please fix this? I can no longer access to my family & ALL my friends from the past 20years. This is insane
Theme's
I gave it a 2 star since because before they did a weird update. It worked Great. Now all of my theme's that I have. You can only somewhat see in a chat box. They have these kids buttons replacing all of the theme's that were supposed to be there. They messed up the news and the friends area. So now you get 2 news mixed in. No changing of themes and or background. I don't even know why I have Theme's Anymore if I can't See them. Please fix. I've been using you for decades and I want the original way back. Please and thank you. Once fixed I'll give better reviews afterwards. I want all of my theme's and buttons fixed.

App is barely usable
Has anyone successfully added a friend on this app? And verify a phone number in a country listed on the app? How does one even use this app?!?!?!?!? So many one-star reviews yet the company makes no effort to respond or make the app functional. It’s a waste of time and does so much less than WhatsApp or WeChat.
