I never recommend this app
I couldn’t get back on to my old account years ago and line made it extremely difficult to get back in.
So I definitely would not recommend using it if you are going to have a hard time getting back in to that very same account

Can’t login new phone
Like everyone else, I got a new phone. I can’t login because I logged in using my US phone number and email. Line only allows you to login with GMail, Apple, or phone number but not for US. I made purchases on that LINE account that I will never get back unless I repurchase it on my new account. LINE does not have a customer support team that I can easily contact. Very stupid thing to lose my account over because they took features away that they use to have before and don’t anymore. Very frustrating for LINE users, I would not recommend using this app to other people because of this. Very poorly designed and not thought out.

Terrible App
unable to get you account back when you forgot to transfer the account to the new device and customer service is not responding either
Wouldn’t let me log in
I’ve tried so hard to log back in to my new device and now it’s not working! Fix it before I’m never trusting this app again.
Worst app ever
Can’t login unless you have Line on another device. Can’t create a new account because phone number is already linked to an existing account, which, as mentioned, can’t be used to login unless you have installed line on another device. Do you see the issue here Line??

Transferred phones and now locked out
I traded my phone in and now I cannot log into line there’s no support and no way to get Line back
They made a bad app even worse

The app cannot send or receive messages, when you hit send the message is gone and was not send so proper way to use this app is type message- double click- copy- send(you will notice msg is gone but not sent)- double click- paste- hit send again - repeat if not working- swipe up- close app- reopen app- repeat previous process👍

Terrible executive decision making
I lost contact with 10/11 of my close friends from Japan because Line implemented a new policy/feature that now excludes non-Japanese nationals. I lived with these friends for many months and contacted them religiously. However, because I originally signed up with an iPhone andU.S. number, it is now impossible to recover my account due to how Line implemented this nonsensical policy. I am deeply saddened by this. Line wasn’t just a means through which I can reach my Japanese friends, but was actually my #2 favorite messaging application next to Signal. My experience on Line far exceeded iMessage, WhatsApp, etc… Line, you have to fix this!!!

lost my account
LINE is truly the worst messaging app! It was acting up so I wanted to logout and back in. When I can't find the logout button I thought I can delete and reinstall the app. Since I have transferred to my nee phone previously so my old phone no longer works for login and I have a USA number. I don't have my apple ID or email tied to my LINE account and now it tells me I can't log in with my phone number?! My account is lost for ever!

Give me my US phone number account back
Took away support for US phone numbers and now there’s no way for me to log in or recover my account. Every attempt to contact support tells me I’m SOL. Chat history lost. Stickers I paid for lost.
Cant transfer accounts
Awful app. Cant transfer my 7 year old account because qr code wont work and I cant login via phone number in my country anymore. Now my old phone is logged out of line so I'm completely boned

It was already good...
But a few years ago they covered the application here in Brazil and even iMessage has more functions than this app. Besides, they didn’t invest in disclosure and simply the app was deleted before the competition. The code for new accounts hardly comes... which makes it even more difficult to create new accounts.

I have so much disdain for this app. Having a main device and sub device is fine but it’s completely invigorating when you don’t allow login through Username and Password on mobile devices anymore and only allow Google, Apple or QR logins.
Don’t forget now you can only login through your phone number if it’s from Taiwan, Thailand, South Korea and Japan. Everybody else can just be thrown aside.
I’ve lost two accounts because of these awful awful systems. It doesn’t matter if you’re logged into your “sub device” because only the main device matters. I am NEVER using this app again. And everyone else should leave this app and use more reliable apps in the future.

App locks you out of your account
This app locks you out of your account and does not let you make a new one and makes it impossible to recover your account due to region locking. There is no customer service that you can reach without creating an account either so you’re just completely barred from ever using this app properly ever again. Very user unfriendly
