Sensor problems - 2

Into second week and have had 2 sensors quit. Customer service was helpful but he needed better English skills, which were barely adequate.

Like the Concept

I like what this does but I’ve had 3 of the 6 sensors fail. Not a great value for the price.

Lingo

Very bad

No Apple Watch Complication

I wanted to try Lingo because they are about $20 cheaper but I now found out they don’t even have a Apple Watch complication for the Apple Watch. They expect me to go open their app every time I want to see what my glucose is. Very annoying.

Not very accurate

Lingo for me seems to ALWAYS report lower glucose numbers than test strips. Seems better for trends than actual monitoring.

Glucose number dispute

I’ve been using the Lingo app since mid March and I really like everything about it but the reason why I gave it four stars instead of five it’s because I’ve had number of occasions where my actual number was between 20 to 60 points higher than the app is showing me. Customer Service is great! I give them five stars but the company still hasn’t figured out why my numbers do that. They have been sending me replacements, which sometimes worked and sometimes didn’t so I’m still hoping for the best and would like to continue to use it.

Faulty CGM

Out of five (5) CGM sensors, two fell off prematurely and one was broken upon arrival. Lingo’s customer service is not very helpful; I had to call three separate times and email three additional times to get two replacements (one of which fell off only after 4 days). They are advertised as being durable enough for active people who swim, use a sauna, etc. one sensor fell off as I was getting out of the shower after 10 days of wearing it and the other fell off while in the sauna at only four days of wearing it.

Very helpful

I hesitated for weeks before finally deciding to go ahead with purchasing a Lingo monitor. I am Extremely happy with the purchase and have continued to use them. I have learned so much about glucose spikes and how to manage them. It is surprising the food items you learn will spike your glucose and just as amazing some of the interventions you can use to get the spikes back down immediately. Things such as the timing of a walk, a few simple exercises that will lower blood glucose, eating balanced meals that use the fat and fiber in food to prevent spikes. Also helps to keep you focused on using the interventions that you found work. Highly recommend! If you’re hesitant like I was, just do it! You will be very happy with what you learn.

Sensor issue

Stop working earlier. Not 14 days.

Like it, but new version has a bug.

Trying to reduce my A1c and this is helping. However, the new v1.11.0 has a new annoying bug. On the main page the second item is the Lingo Count with a header button for “Today, Yesterday” etc. However, now if you leave the app running overnight you can no longer click what then says Yesterday” and have it switch to “today”. Now requires quitting and restarting app to be able to switch the views. Not major but annoying nonetheless.

Let’s Lingo

Simple…accurate…dependable…responsive. Exactly as advertised!

Control finally possible

Although I’ve always been active and tried to est well most of the time, the timing of exercise and “treats” was never optimal for stabilizing my sugar. Lingo finally made it possible to watch my habits and lowered my A1c from 8.9 to 6.3 in 4 months.

Great service

My lingo died unexpectedly on day 2. The app notified me with Customer Service and advised a replacement- few clicks- Done!

Love it and very surprised at what my body doing!!

I was gestational diabetes with my second pregnancy and have meticulously monitored my diet and sugar. Thus I knew what food triggered by sugar. But using this continuous glucose monitor proven my understandings wrong! Many food I thought my body tolerated have changed now. As well as I blamed hot flashes to hormones, but it’s actually my high sugar levels that give me hot flashes. Lot more to learn….

Bill

It disconnects often. Too often I think. I’m putting a new one on after 10 days in hopes it is better.

Life Changing

Seen in real time how different foods affect me at different times of the day has been such an eye-opener. It helps provide motivation as well.

Health Insights

Overall, I am enjoying the Lingo app. It has been vital in helping me take better control of my health, and monitor what is affecting my glucose levels. I gave it 4 stars because I have had issues with the biosensor and app connecting or staying connected. As a result I have had to throw away at least 3 biosensors early. That is a problem. I hope the technology will improve very soon.

Good data- sensor falls off a lot

I don’t know if the sensor is built to last for people who are active and sweat a lot. The data is great but the sensor doesn’t stay on long

Love it!

Am now using my 4th Lingo and for the most part it has gone flawless. One of the lingo’s I purchased seemed to fail after just a couple of days (Lost connection with my iPhone) this had gone on for several hours. I called customer service and they didn’t hesitate to send me out a free replacement with expedited shipping. All the other Lingo’s have been flawless. I really enjoy being able to track my blood sugar after eating, exercising and rest.

Love Lingo

I received so much information in real time as to how my food choices and exercise affect my blood sugar. This has really helped me be able to keep my blood sugar under control in the process of reversing pre-diabetes.
