No useful functionality

Trying to update my profile, my photos. Nothing saves. Nothing at all. I tried on my phone data, tried on wifi. Neither work, which indicates it’s the functionality of the app itself.

Trains of thought

so … onward. Not so long ago, I was in a small group of stream of consciousness types just shooting the breeze, so to speak. One girl then brought up the simplest to understand, the most obvious, the globally acknowledged non-verbal gesture a person could give those around her/him regarding intentions. One boy said the thumbs up. One other girl said the byebye wave. One woman said the a-okay sign. One man said sticking out one’s tongue. One boy said moving thumbnail across throat. One girl said the middle finger. One other woman said shrugging with palms up. One other said frowning. Me? I just smiled. I think my gesture is the most universal. Anybody agree?

Diminishing returns

Linkedin was invaluable to the job search in 2016. Now, in 2026, this is pretty unrecognizable. AI features are a mess, human Support is impossible to reach. There are no formatting tools for profile editing so importing information is laborious and requires a lot of manual adjustment. The timeline feed is irrelevant. I don’t need Facebook replicated on this app. LinkedIn also does not comply with state laws regarding job salary transparency. Salaries for jobs in states with this posting requirement are often not included and it appears that LinkedIn isn’t doing its due diligence to ensure compliance. Profile views by prospective employers are controlled by 2 pay to play devices- forced engagement within the social media feeds, and paying for Premium. Premium is also a mess. What it seems to reliably do is block the IDs of employers who are monitoring employee profiles. I have not gained any better job matches or functional profile edits by having Premium.
UPDATE: the developer feedback was not helpful. My issue has been in queue for a human to look at since I posted this review. Their support bots aren’t doing anything about the scam recruiters that I have reported for using fake jobs for phishing scams. The reports are coming back almost immediately with the decision that the scammers aren’t violating TOS. In queue for a human to respond to this too.

Worst app

One of the worst app where every feature is broken. Even captcha is so strict that humans can’t solve it

Terrible flagging system

I only just got LinkedIn yesterday. My first experience is for me to spend so much time making my profile, making sure it’s accurate, for me to wake up the next day and my account is restricted for no reason. There is no reliable way to communicate with an actual person if unable to login to your own account. I’m sorry but if your platform is constantly flagging real people as robots then there’s definitely something wrong. I was ALREADY verified via persona! I had a tick on my account. That ITSELF proves I’m an actual person so why was still flagged as a bot? I try logging in and it wants me to do a captcha that always fails. I do not understand what the developers were thinking honestly, it’s the worst experience I’ve had and I’ve not even used the app properly yet! Now everytime im gonna use it ( if my account gets restored ) im going to constantly be thinking how to not act like a robot so I don’t get flagged. Which is acc ridiculous for me to even have to think about.

I also noticed how buggy it was when typing up my profile, it was just start lagging as I’m typing so I had to keep exiting the app and refreshing it .

This flagging system is more of a hindrance to real people trying to use LinkedIn than it is for bots to be actually identified. It’s really stupid how you want people to send ID to verify they’re real but then have a separate system that flags people by their activity despite being verified…
