Worst App ever encountered! Very poor in App navigation, information badly organised and impossible to plan or add to routes. If you give feedback within the App, you reach an end point that prevents you getting back into the App’s functionality - just left stuck, even if the App is closed! Complete waste of public money - Highways Agency operates just like the Post Office, with similar levels of competence & integrity.

Good Info / Poor App
Information within the app is very helpful, however the app itself is rubbish. Most obvious example… The ‘continue’ button on the message immediately after loading about not using it while driving, should not need 5 taps to proceed. Needs more work. Much like the roads Highways England claim to maintain really, so there’s consistency at least, in fairness to them!

Do the authors use the app, or just don't care?
Dire UI, hopelessly pointless routing (no means to re-route). Also, pictures from roadside CCTV are thoughtfully date- and time-stamped. Unfortunately you can't read the date-stamp because there's a Highways England logo plonked on top of it -so you've no idea if the picture you're looking at is today or last week!

Very confusing
Too difficult to find the information you need quickly with confusing options and lots of information that you probably don’t need. All you really want is to know where the hold ups are and how long the delay is

The app is incorrectly named since highways England has been rebranded.
I wanted to find delays on a motorway. But couldn’t work out as the app Is not intuitive.
Why isn’t the app more like to website which quickly takes you to the information required.

Terrible app
Clunky layout lacks any kind of ergonomic thought, and the information is presented in an imprecise and unclear way. It would be so much easier to write in plain English that a road is closed between start time and end time, but the attempt at presenting information appears to be written in a bureaucratic manner attempting to be technical. Abysmally slow loading times too.

No Good!!
Been using for a few weeks now. Tells me when I leave work that my route is clear with no delays despite delays on at least four occasions in last two weeks alone including my 30 minute drive home tonight taking an hour and a half yet still showing no delays on my route. Deleted !!!
Needs updating
This app is utterly useless. It shows no delays on the A11 map view and junctions open when they are in reality closed. The current roadworks do show under the search tab but only to tell me there is work going on not that there is one lane open and a 40mph speed limit. Many of us rely on the A11 in Norfolk and regular updates are essential.

No dark screen option
The app works well when you set a route providing you adjust the settings, otherwise you get given info about roads you need to use. My only real criticism is that there is no option to put the screen in dark mode, can’t use the app at night with a bright white screen.
App gives lot of info but not in any useful manner
This app would appear to have lots of info available, but it’s difficult to work out how to access. Surely many users’ requirements will be to put in a journey they are going to travel, then find out what the closures or roadworks might be, soon, and at a later period of time. This is a basic requirement but I haven’t worked out how to do. If you get out pencil and paper, work out all roads and junctions etc, you could go and look it all up. And notifications just won’t add for me - it just ‘spins’ not that it’s clear what use they may be. Potential to be very useful, but just frustrating currently.

Great
This is great. I travel every day up and down the A12 at 120 mph on my motorcycle and find that when I’m using this app between texts and phone calls it keeps me updated as to where the slow traffic is.
Worse than my Garmin
I have this on my iPhone and would’ve been planning to get rid of my Garmin satnav and use this instead. But I can’t seem to use it as it tells me I can’t touch it when driving, even though I’m in the office or home, checking the routes for traffic.
It is far from reliable and seems to have been designed by someone who has never driven before. Toss up between this and the worse make of Satnav (Garmin)....is....its a tie!

Excellent in a breakdown
Really useful in a breakdown situation, using the Connect feature to Call Highways England when you need to be able to give your location, it displays it for you to relay to HE call centre or to breakdown services.
Also great to use the CCTV and Flow functions to see the current traffic conditions on an intended route

Would be great if the information was accurate
So to day we are travelling from London to the Channel Tunnel for Le Shuttle. I diligently checked for any road closure last on the M20 as Highways England continue to spend taxpayers money and cause traffic chaos on their ill thought through “Smart Motorway” scheme, you know the one where the signs are mostly set incorrectly... The app says all was well and no planned closures, but in reality J2 - J4 was closed.
This completely undermines the usefulness of this app. Obviously the same incompetent people in the Highways England Ivory Tower who set the road signs, also send their duff info to the app.
Totally useless like the people who run our trunk road system. I’ll drop my MP [another] line about Highways England.

Seriously poor
This app seems to need a complete redesign. Its functionality is poor being too locked in to a specific route. Its route finding is just plain silly taking no account of delays the system knows is there. As I write this the M25 anti-clockwise is completely blocked due to a serious accident about 3 hours ago. This is shown on the map with black marking showing a long tailback that is stationary. However when entering journey details I was given a route that goes along that blocked section; useless.

The App needs a bit more work
Hi the app needs a get in touch option, I have reloaded the app because the maps will not load and there’s no way of letting you know that you have a problem. Also the app needs to be able to let you know of planed road closures I have often set off only to find my route blocked and if I had known in advance I could reroute my self and not get delayed.

The worst app
Nothing flows or intergrates on this app. You must press buttons to open everything , there isnt even a map unless you really dig for it. You will find yourself in the help section getting frustrated with every single part of it. Why not just have a map you can then zoom into? I rate this no stars.
Just use google maps with its traffic flow speed / colour data it will tell you more in 1 second than you get from this in 10 minutes

Useless
The road work on A538 near Manchester Airport had caused horrendous traffic jams for months. Often it is down to single file traffic causing traffic on both sides to back up for miles! Yet no mention whatsoever of the road works or the congestion can be found in this App. This App tries to be a Sat Nav when nobody in their right mind would even dream of using it! Is the Highway Agency trying to compete against Tom Tom, Garmin, Google, etc.? Why??
