Disappointed by the shift towards paywalls

I’ve used Lively for a while and was really disappointed to come back to the app and find that so many of the tips and recommendations are now blurred out and locked behind Premium.

I completely understand charging for premium features, advanced insights, partner syncing, etc. Developers deserve to be paid for their work. But putting basic wellness information and tips that could help women manage the pain, discomfort, fatigue, and other symptoms of their periods behind a paywall feels very different.

There’s something particularly uncomfortable about opening an app because you’re on your period, seeing that there are recommendations for things that might help you feel better, and then being told you have to pay to actually see them. It starts to feel less like offering optional premium features and more like monetizing women’s pain and discomfort.

I don’t remember Lively feeling this restrictive when I started using it, and it’s disappointing because the supportive, women-centered approach was part of what made me like the app in the first place. This change has genuinely made me consider deleting it and finding another period tracker.

I hope Lively reconsiders which features belong behind Premium. There should be room for a paid tier without withholding basic information intended to help women understand and care for their bodies.

Excelente app

Year 3 User

This app is pretty spot on! I love it. Two pregnancies from this app. Love the tips for different times of the month.

I love this app but the new update ruined it.

I’ve been using this app well over a year and I love it and the insights especially. It would show you hormone levels and common symptoms you track around certain times in your cycle. As of this week those insights I loved so much are now apart of premium. I hoped this female run app would understand that some women can benefit from these apps without collecting money we don’t have. I will likely use a new app now if my favorite features are no longer available to all. Extremely disappointing because this app was beautiful built for all.

Such a user-friendly app

Love it! The design, the layout, even the partner feature. The free version is amazing as is and the paid version is worth it too so it’s a win-win no matter what.

Perfect for those looking to get away from birth control

It has helped me significantly since I made the decision to go off hormonal birth control. Also, I am very anxious, so it’s really reassuring how Lively tracks your symptom patterns. The partner sharing feature is also well appreciated by my boyfriend. We keep up with updates and he actually has learned so much about the menstrual cycle through it!

Don’t download

I go into the app all my period information is gone like I’ve never used it and I paid for a year subscription. I canceled and some how it shows that I’ve never had one on there app when asking for my money back however on my side on the app/gaming app I payed the 18.99 subscription fee for a year

Annoying and made for anglophones

Please don't tell me to eat more kale during my lutheal phase or whatever
Also please improve you're translations because your notification don't make sense in French. And don't call me pretty youre an app.

Best Tracker I’ve Used

Honestly the best period tracker I’ve ever used. Even without paying for premium, it’s still very useful and educational.
I absolutely love the partner sharing feature so my boyfriend always knows what’s up.
If you’re going to pick a period tracker to go with, I’d definitely say to pick this one!

Wonderful app!

I have recommended this app to many of my friends, it is great for tracking your cycle whether you are trying to do it for fertility tracking to get pregnant or prevent pregnancy naturally or just to know how regular your cycle is if you’re going through perimenopause or menopause and I love the tips and the education that I get from this app as far as where my hormone levels are at certain points in my cycle, to predict the dates of certain parts of my cycle, as well as how I should take care of myself and foods I should eat and movement I should do.

Decent for tracking, but pushes horoscopes

It’s a decent tool for what it is but I’m tired of these sorts of apps also sharing horoscopes. Just track my cycle, that’s all I ask. Switched to a different tracker for this reason alone.

Its ok

The app is missing so much information that it makes it difficult to track things down. For example, if you’re sick, there aren’t enough symptoms listed to accurately identify what you’re experiencing. If you search for a specific word, it often doesn’t find it, so you have to manually go through everything. It makes the whole process really frustrating and unnecessarily time-consuming.

Ai, really…?

Do we TRULY need ai in EVERY SINGLE APP ever?? I really don’t think these new ai features are necessary and it’s incredibly disappointing to see that my freaking period tracker app is ALSO turning over to the ai grift. Sigh…

Continuously lost data

Have had to reset up multiple times and lost past cycle days. Not reliable

So helpful

Lively has been amazingly helpful with understanding my cycle, and paying attention to my energy levels, pms symptoms, and how to best nourish and support my body throughout my cycle. I used to think I was just tired or irritable but now I can go on my lively and understand why I feel exhausted, or when the best time for intense workouts and fun outings would be. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to understand their cycle better.

Paying for health

The thing that I’m most concerned about is that we have to pay for our health shouldn’t we be able? To do this for free

What happened?

I’ve been using this app for some time and even tracked a pregnancy but since switching back to period cycle tracking the app has become very basic with very minimal tips unlike what it use to give. What happened?

can’t use of you dont pay

I think it’s absolutely ridiculous. That women have to pay money just to track their health…..
Immediately after downloading the app and putting my information in it, forced me to start a free trial and didn’t even give me an option to just have the app for free… I can track my period on my calendar. I’m not paying to do it on my phone… extremely disappointed

Period tracker

This app help me so much for tracking my period . It’s an amazing and helpful I recommend you to check it out.🥰🥰

💗

This app is probably the best period tracker I have ever used. Like never mind that it's lowkey the most aesthetic app you'll have it is super simple and accurate. Like I havnt paid for the full app version but if you did it would be pretty similar it just depends on how much your willing to track. It's amazing you can track what you eat, and everything movement and symptoms. Overall it's so worth it yall its amazing and even has a pregnancy mode which I appreciate💗
