Poorly designed, will cost you money if you get it wrong
The app makes buying a “any train company” ticket more difficult than it needs to be. If you’re purchasing in a rush, watch out — did you really buy the right ticket?
Don’t expect much help from the app, important details like which train company the ticket’s valid on is tucked away in the fine print.

Smooth booking with no problems.
Much better than the avanti app even for Avanti trains!
Wasted an hour trying to get my business card working on Avanti app by card direct on the app by Apple Pay by PayPal.. each time it rejected the payment

For a train app that works
Given that there a dozen apps that promise you that they work the simplicity and user friendliness of this app sets it apart. No it won’t get you the cheapest but 90% of the time it works and doesn’t crash and for that it’s 4 stars. In classic modern reviewer speak “your mileage may vary but it works for me”

Not very reliable
The app often shows somewhat different information from the on board info and station displays. Not great when I’m hoping to catch a particular train.
Also it used to show the stops on a journey with the platform number for the destination but this has all recently disappeared without explanation. I deleted and downloaded it again but made no difference. I wouldn’t dare buy a ticket on this app for fear it would disappear.

App doesn’t show full journey
The app no longer shows previous stops for services making it hard to judge if your train is going to be on time or not and therefore useless. Other apps show this so this almost feels like an attempt to deceive people! This is basic functionality, please bring it back!

It is a good and responsive app but I can’t see which platform my train will arrive. It’s a vital information and is available on web version but missing in the app.

Gobbles passes
Been using this for a while with no issue. Recently the activate pass confirmation has been removed when activating a pass on the 8 passes in 4 week ticket. This means if you look at my tickets a pass is activated. So I lost 2 of my passes £100 when 1 I was checking the pass expiration date and 2 I purchased some unrelated tickets that went into my tickets. Doesn’t seem to be a way to refund. Back to paper tickets I guess.

Use this app all the time for tickets up and down the country. It stores my previous journeys. It remembers that I have a railcard and I always find a suitable time to travel.

I really like this app as it doesn’t charge any service and it is accurate. It is also easy to request refunds. I am using it for years now.
