What's New in Loadex

2.3.0

September 30, 2026

Other activities and your lifting • A long or hard ride, row, hike or match in the 48 hours before a leg day now shows on your guidance card, as runs already did. It is judged against your own pattern. • Rides, rows, hikes, stair sessions, skiing, swims, paddling, climbing and team sports from Apple Health are recognized by name. A match is titled with its sport. • Once your history shows weaker leg days after an activity, the line says how much lighter to go. Until then it keeps your planned weights. • Hard leg work before a run or ride, including another activity, is noted on that session's page. • Change activity: relabel any session from History, such as a ride your watch saved as a workout. • Walks of 15 minutes or more are listed in History. They do not count toward your training totals. Auto-progression • Top Set / Back-off: back-off sets now hold their percentage of the top set as it climbs. Before, they crept toward it over months. • Adding an exercise copies the sets from its last performance. • The finish dialog lists 5 progressions, with Show more for the rest. Insights and Records • The Strength card offers a 3-lift total, with a page for the three lifts, the total over time and your best. • Choose which exercise counts as your squat, bench and deadlift. • The Records tab shows each weighted lift's heaviest set as a multiple of your bodyweight, when a weigh-in is logged near it. Workout cards • A 3-lift total element. • Your top set's RIR beside the hero figure, and a bodyweight multiple in the stat stack for squat, bench and deadlift. • A hybrid trend: one lift's strength line and one running distance's best times, over the same 12 weeks. • Running trend, cardio intensity and a week of lifts and runs as elements. • Color a run's route by pace. The run's page and summary map have the same Pace view. • The element library is grouped into sections. • Rides and ski sessions show speed. Timer sound • Pro: choose your own rest-timer sound from Files. The first 5 seconds play. Fixes • Set rows and History rows lay out correctly at large text sizes. • Add Set in the workout editor carries the last set's weight and reps. • A strength line on a card shared from History ends at that session. Added in 2.2.0 Lifting and running together • Guidance flags a hard or long run in the 48 hours before a leg day, and heavy squats and hinges before a run. • A stalled lift is annotated when the holds followed your runs. • Conditioning steers the cardio half off your legs after an unusual run, and shortens it in a spiking training week. • The Coach reviews your running, and Volume Landmarks notes running in an unusual week. Workout cards and rep maxes • A stat stack of three figures, run splits, best effort and rep maxes as card elements. • The exercise Records tab lists your heaviest weight for 1, 2, 3, 5, 8 and 10 reps. Editing • Supersets and circuits stay together when you drag, unlink or remove an exercise. Added in 2.1.0 Timed sets • Set Tracking on any exercise offers Weight & time, for weighted planks, dead hangs and wall sits. • Start a set's timer from its time cell. It counts down, ticks the set at zero and starts your rest. • Leave the cell empty and the stopwatch counts up instead, for a hold taken to failure. Guide • A short guide covers building workouts, logging sets, auto-progression, Insights, importing your history, conditioning and readiness. Reopen it from Guide in Settings.

Best fitness log app

I’m a competitive powerlifter and I’ve really liked using Loadex. My coach writes all of my programming, so I like that I can put my actual workouts into the app and keep everything organized in one place. I can track my weight, reps, RIR, rest times and volume.

My favorite part is probably all of the data. I can see my strength trends, estimated 1RM, training load, muscle groups I’m hitting and how my recovery is lining up with my performance. It also connects to Apple Health for things like sleep, HRV and resting heart rate, which is really useful during hard training blocks and meet prep.

I also love that I don’t need multiple apps anymore. Everything I need is right there, from my workout log and rest timer to things like kilogram/plate conversion and recovery data. There’s a lot of information, but it’s organized really well and easy to find, which is a huge plus for me.

This app changed my life. I lost 100 pounds.

Finally a good workout app

If you’re serious about building muscle than Loadex is a must.

Was skinny now I’m an absolute unit

This app is so sick! When I started using it back in the day I was guessing all my workouts. Now I show up to the gym look at the exercises I need to, execute them and get the craziest pump. I believe I’m an absolute unit now because of this app.

Effective

I really like how Loadex keeps me on track during my workouts. I’ve always had a tendency to lose focus on my reps or not keep track of the weight I’m lifting, which makes it harder to know when I should push myself or where I actually stand with my strength.

Having everything laid out helps me stay focused on the exercises I’m supposed to be doing and gives me something to measure over time. It’s nice being able to look back and actually see my progress instead of just guessing if I’m getting stronger. It makes my workouts feel more structured without making them feel complicated.
