Needs Less Hiccups & Better UX

A few feature requests:

- In the map view, reset the list order by proximity when you switch to a new food type. Right now if you swipe to #7 in the list of beef options, then switch to lamb, you start with option #7 of lamb, which skips all of the closer options. If the order reset to #1 closest it would be a lot more intuitive and easy to use.

- My iPhone 17 Pro Max on iOS 26.6.0 overheats and slows down when using this app for 5 minutes. I was just looking at different options in the map view. If this was fixed somehow that would be great.

- If there were tags for whether farmers use specific vaccines, or other things they use that alter natural food that would make a ginormous difference.

- Add a Butter category.

I know that these are difficult to implement and that you’ve already put a lot of work into this. I appreciate the work and am thankful to have this app.

Great success to you.

App Broken

I love the idea and was really excited to use this app, but it crashed almost instantly and I haven’t been able to get passed a grey screen.

Typical switch and bait

There is a subscription required before actually receiving any information.

Subscription fee

Got this app because I want to live a healthier life and find healthier options local and support local farms and yet you have to pay for a subscription just to use the app at all, it’s quite unfortunate that you have to pay to use all these health apps without any free options like as if a healthy lifestyle isn’t already quite expensive. It’s a bummer really wanted to try out this app :/

FAQ

What does the Localize app do?

This app helps you find over 30,000 local farms selling directly to consumers. You can browse a vast selection of products, including fresh produce, raw dairy, honey, skincare, and various types of meat. It aims to connect you with a high-quality, local food supply chain.

What kind of products can I find on the app?

You can find a wide array of products such as raw dairy, raw honey, handmade tallow skincare (balms, soaps, lotions), exotic meats like bison and elk, grass-fed beef, pasture chicken, organic fruits and vegetables, pork, eggs, cheese, jerky, goat, lamb, sheep, duck, herbs, spices, preserves, jams, baked goods, plants, seeds, flowers, and hair products.

Is the app free to use?

What kind of farms are listed?

The app lists over 30,000 local farms that sell their products directly to consumers. These farms offer a diverse range of items, from traditional farm goods like produce and meats to specialty items like raw dairy, raw honey, and handmade skincare products.
