This was our first time using Lugg and thanks to Jay and Jordan it won’t be our last. The two brothers showed up on time, were very professional and friendly and got the job done remarkably quickly.
Misleading ETAs
Don’t believe the ETAs that are quoted. They say someone is on the way when they’re not. Then the y keep postponing your services until they actually find someone. This is extremely disruptive, especially during the work day. Hire a real moving company vs a gig economy app.

New to Lugg- Very Convenient
I learned about Lugg while I was purchasing some furniture at World Market. It's a lot cheaper than having to go find a rental truck, find someone to help, and then drive back-and-forth. The first time my Lugg guys came the next day(about 18 hours later - it was late when we made the purchase and a holiday to boot), the second time they came within about an hour (even though it was past 8 pm!). This is a great service and I'm happy it exists.

Had a piece of furniture that I purchased and needed it moved to my house. The whole process took minutes and was effortless through the app. Would highly recommend!

Great Mover Wild App
Even if you schedule in advance that doesn’t guarantee anything is scheduled they still rely on someone hopefully being available I was not assigned a mover until after my pickup time had gone. If you are needing something done on a schedule go somewhere else.
Very stressful move!
I was not impressed. And I had had them highly recommended to me by a good friend. But she had used them in California. It does not seem like they are established enough on the East Coast yet.
I had chosen to pick up window of 8 AM to 9 AM on the day. No one even took the job until around 11:30 AM that day… This was incredibly stressful. And then the original ETA was shown as 12:07 p.m. by the two men and the van. (You can see the vehicle on a map like you can with Uber.) But they actually didn’t arrive until 1:50 PM! Almost two hours later. Their ETA just kept going up and up and up… We have no idea what was going on. And this added even more stress
to the day. We were all left just waiting and waiting and waiting… and I was messaging through the app and to the movers directly during this time. The movers did not respond and the Help team on the app didn’t know what was going on either…
And then it took them an hour to load a queen size sofa bed, an over stuffed chair and ottoman into the van from a building that had freight elevator and a loading dock… ??!! 🤔
So a job that was supposed to be complete by around 10:30 AM. was not complete until almost 4 PM.
This was incredibly stressful as well inconvenient to multiple people. We were all just stuck at our homes waiting most of the day… at the pick up location and drop off location. And this almost cost me some lost income for my business.
So unfortunately, I cannot recommend this app and company at this time. Proceed with caution. And yes, they did give me a refund for about half of my costs with them but I would’ve appreciated not having the stress and loss of time and just paying the original quote.
(And they did not wrap the furniture like they claim to on the app. This was very disappointing as it was one of the main reasons I had chosen them as well as the ability to pick a day and a pick up window had seemed so effortless. Plus I had heard good things.)

Quick and Easy Service!
I thought this service was too good to be true. I was able to book a same day appointment to have exercise equipment dissembled and moved around to a different room. The movers arrived 15 minutes early and were quick and efficient. I highly recommend this service!

Lugg made a difficult situation right
One of the legs on my solid wood dining table was damaged during the move. The claims process took some back and forth, but I obtained a professional repair estimate and proposed a practical solution.
To Lugg’s credit, Drew and the claims team reconsidered the situation, refunded my $222.53 Lugg charge, and provided $525 to cover the documented repair.
Things can go wrong during a move. What mattered to me was that Lugg listened, worked through the issue, and ultimately made it right.

Lugg is a scam
Do not use this app. It has absolutely ridiculous untransparent and predatory pricing practices. My actual cost was more than double the Lugg estimate. My movers ran the clock on the pick up end and took over an hour to load three small items into a large van. Lugg refused to refund me for this clear abuse of the minute by minute labor charges. I absolutely do not recommend using this app.

Terrible
Ordered a van in advance only for them to call the the day of and tell me that they couldn’t move all of my stuff, couldn’t schedule another for the same day. I’m guessing these reviews are bitter because holy this is a different level of incompetence on display.
First time user
Was a bit skeptical but gave it a try and was impressed. Regular movers have three hour minimum and we had a small move of some bedroom furniture. App works flawlessly and knew where things were at all times. Will definitely use them to help me with all moving tasks.
