very annoying to have to pay

it has the potential to be such an amazing app i’m sure but the fact that you have to pay to even start using it before you even sign in does not make sense. i could have just read things wrong and missed an option to continue as free but it seems like i have to pay first in order to finish signing in then cancel which just takes away from it in my opinion. i also don’t think that at 15 years old i should have to ask my mom to sign in for me on an app for me to track my period. that seems pretty weird to me, i already talk to my mom about that stuff but i still should be able to sign in on my own without her doing it for me, great feature for like 12 or 13 and younger but i just don’t think it makes sense for older than that.

Response from developer

We completely understand why this felt frustrating 💛 Because luna handles sensitive health data, US regulations require a parent or guardian to verify that they’re happy for their teen to use the app. They only complete the initial set-up - after that, you can use luna independently, and they cannot see your period tracking, questions or anything else you do in the app 🔒 The $1.99 first month can be cancelled immediately, and you’ll still receive premium for the full month before moving onto the free version ✨ We really appreciate your feedback and agree that we need to explain this more clearly.

Parent Permission..?

Ok so im 14 years old and ive had my period for a while, i dont think to track my period i should have to ask my parent especially if im over 11 years old. i think its very weird my parents can track my period because its a very awkward topic. ive heard great things about it and i wanna give it a try but im not asking my mom to give me permission to track my period?

We completely understand why you’d want to track your period privately 💛 Your parent or guardian only needs to help with the initial account set-up because of US regulations around sensitive health data - they cannot see when your period is, anything you track, or what you do in luna 🔒 Once set up, you can use the app independently. We really appreciate your feedback and agree that we need to make this much clearer ✨

Best teen app!

As a teen, this app is amazing. It doesn’t just focus on periods like most apps, but it focuses on other things like emotions and skin along with the things you would expect to be in a period app. The ask feature is GREAT if you can’t find something and the tracker itself is great! Would recommend

Response from developer

Thank you so much for your amazing review! 💖🌸 We’re so happy to hear you’re enjoying luna’s trackers and Ask feature, and that you love how it covers more than just periods! 🫶✨ Your recommendation means so much to us, and we’re really glad luna is helping you learn more about yourself. 💕

Amazing app!!!❤️❤️

I was using other period apps before this app and let me tell you it was always so weird to use it because me as a teen girl and younger shouldn’t be knowing YET, or in detail, but this app it gives you the information doesn’t make it sound weird and it actually helps me!!! Thank you so much!!!

Response from developer

We love hearing this! 🥹💗 Learning about your body shouldn’t feel awkward or overwhelming, so we’re really glad luna makes things easier to understand in a way that feels comfortable and age-appropriate. 🌸✨ Thanks for giving luna a go and for sharing such lovely feedback! 🫶

Not free

I was about to get it but realized it’s not free, I think you shouldn’t have to pay to know when your period ends or starts

Response from developer

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. 💖 We're sorry for any confusion. Our period tracker - including tracking and predicting when your period starts and ends - is completely free to use. 🌸📅 We do offer an optional Premium subscription that unlocks additional features and content, but the core tracking functionality is available at no cost. Premium subscriptions also help us support our team, including the doctors and experts who create and review our health content, so we can continue improving the app for everyone. 💙✨ We hope you'll consider giving the app a try, and thank you again for sharing your thoughts! 🫶😊

lags

the app is really good , although it has some bugs where it lags and stops me from using the app to its maximum

Best app ever

So I have had this app since December and it has so many good features definitely word it bad it’s free for everyone not a couple pound per month for all of the features it is amazing wealth buying for your daughter

So good, definitely recommend!

I got this app before I got my first period and it was definitely one of the better apps. Once I did get my period it did the closest estimate as I had multiple apps and always had the closest estimate. I absolutely loved the way that they have quizzes, polls, and articles and videos about advice and what to do. Overall it's a great app, definitely five stars, and I really recommend it

Idk how it works

How do I get the code it didn’t tell me where to find it????

Response from developer

Sorry for the confusion! This sounds like it might be an older version issue, could you try updating the app and see if that clears it up? If you're still stuck, reach out to our support team and we'll walk you through finding your code.

Real good and bad

Good: I love this app because the tracker is easy to do. It shows like every symptom you could be having they have these poles you can do which are like surveys that like depend like how your period is going like pool or like a game like pools and they have questions you get one free question that you can ask it can be about anything and it’s an anonymous I really love this app. It’s really helpful. I personally love this app. It was recently updated. in July 2026 I really love this app. You should get it too. it’s really helpful too because if you don’t have a support system at home, you can tell you how to use certain period products.tampons, pads etc

Bad: one thing I don’t like about it if you don’t wanna play any money, you can only like watch or read six articles or six videos you can only read six questions and you can participate in only two quizzes

Good app

I Love this app so much very good

Really good- just one thing

Amazing! It is so useful and gives so much information, but I don’t know how to download the upgraded version.

Seems like a great app

Okay, I have tried to use this app to track my periods since i was younger, but i couldn’t get in when i had put my birthday. I don’t think it’s fair to put a 13+ age requirement for a period tracker because people under thirteen are still capable of getting periods, and it makes it inaccessible for them, especially people first figuring out their cycles. i don’t expect you to change this, but i just wanted to share my experience.

Response from developer

Thank you for sharing this, really fair point. Good news, we've since lowered the age requirement, so younger members can add their birthday and start tracking now. Let us know what you think once you are set up! 🫶✨

I

I mean the app is good but it wouldn’t let me login because I was 11 years old but the app is still good though☺️

Not available for your girls unfortunately

Some girls get their period extra young, even 9. Will it be available for that age? It’s so hard for younger girls to understand the changes and it can help them know what to expect too

Response from developer

Thank you, this is such a real point, some girls do start so young and deserve support just as much. We've been working on lowering the age or luna as safely as possible and now its available to younger members 🫶 please do take a look and let us know what you think

Idk

It says that it is 12+ but when I put my birthday in it says I am not old enough.

I'm not sure right now

It's not available for my age yet but from reviews it's good but when the next update eor whatever for my age

Response from developer

we are so close to being available for our younger members! please check back in a couple of weeks and you'll be able to sign up! ❤️🌸😇✌️

BAD

I hate that you have to be 13 and up because my cousin who is 11 just got her period cannot access Luna because of her age

Please Make Things More Specific.

I really like this app and use it regularly, but I think a few small changes would make it even better. I'd love to see more flow options, especially "extra light" and "extra heavy," since the current choices don’t always match what I’m actually experiencing. I’d also really appreciate a "brown discharge" option in the period section, not just under symptoms, because it’s often part of a period and would make tracking feel more accurate and realistic.

Having those options would honestly make tracking a lot easier in day-to-day life. It would be simpler to log what’s actually happening instead of trying to squeeze it into categories that don’t quite fit. Over time, that extra accuracy would help me understand my cycle better and notice patterns more clearly, especially as it becomes more consistent.

It would also make me feel more prepared for my period instead of kind of guessing what each day will be like. Being able to see more exact flow levels would help with planning ahead and knowing which days might be lighter or heavier. That would make it easier to choose the right absorbency, like knowing when a pad is enough or when I should be using a tampon with more protection.

Overall, these small changes would just make the app feel more natural and helpful for real life tracking, not just general estimates.

Response from developer

Thank you so much for taking the time to share this 💛 You've put real thought into it and it genuinely helps us make luna better. Extra light and extra heavy flow options, plus brown discharge as a flow type rather than just a symptom, are both really valid gaps. Accurate logging makes pattern spotting so much more useful, and we want luna to reflect what actually happens, not just a tidy version of it. We're working on some updates, so keep your eyes peeled!
