Good luck if you can read comfortably tiny font. It makes reading the issue impossible. Would not recommend using the app
Subscription stopped working before renewal date
I was getting pretty marginal value out of the magazine, anyway, but throwing in the extra hassle it just isn’t worth it.
Too much lifestyle
Until recently, Maclean’s had a nice balance between lifestyle pieces and top quality Canadian political commentary. I miss all the political perspectives my subscription brought me.

Magazine is very informative and Canadian
Magazine itself is well worth the subscription price, but the app needs work. Currently I received the print version of the publication by mail 3 weeks ago, but the electronic version has not yet appeared for download on the app. This should be easy to correctly.
Bring Back the Maclean’s of Old
Each new issue is more disappointing than the last.

Tried a subscription
Subscribed, paid for it and then went into the app to sign in.
I needed a subscription number which I had not received but that's okay it can be obtained through help.
Problem is the help function produced a blank screen.
Not impressed.
Cancelled subscription, removed app.

It’s a good app, offers a Canadian perspective on certain things.
Unable to download current issue despite having a subscription
I have had a paid subscription to Maclean’s for over a year. No problems. However, last night When I tried to download the current issue, the download button did not appear. Instead, the Sign in to your account” button appeared. As I have a digital subscription, I do not have a subscription number to use to sign in. I contacted Maclean’s customer service, but their solution was for me to call Apple. I tried to tell Maclean’s customer service that the information in my Maclean’s account indicated that I was paid through June 25. Nevertheless, I called Apple and it was confirmed I had an open subscription to Maclean’s. I have emailed Maclean’s several times to advise them that my account was good but nothing has been done on their end to remedy the situation. So, I am paying for a subscription that I cannot access. The magazine is 5 stars. Customer service, not so much.

Unfortunately the present issues cannot compare to the previous weekly issues.
Great content; poor interface
MacLeans is a great source for Canadian news, lots of great writing and interesting ideas.
The app is design to work like a magazine with flip pages. It works, but it’s just not a pleasant way to read the news on an mobile phone.
It would be so great if their interface was more considerate of how people take in information. It just feels a bit dated and inconsiderate. The newsletter is at least easier to read, but it’s just text. I hope they continue to invest in their mobile app, there is potential!

An Oasis
In this day of instant information it is refreshing to have a traditional publication that takes offers a much more neutral stage when it comes to talking about current events and affairs. Everyone has an opinion and In some cases, several opinions. While I don’t always agree with all of MacLean’s journalists, I do appreciate the time and care they undertake to present ‘all’ views and opinions. As a proud Albertan I fear for the very real prospect of Canada loosing the people, the prosperity and the culture of this totally unique province.McLeans remains one of the few sounding boards where Albertans and their story can still be told.

I’m ending my long-standing subscription this month.
I loved the back half of Macleans magazine with its feature articles. I liked some of the front half editorials. But I don’t like the political articles because I’ve already been deluged with their content for a week before Macleans runs them. I’m on Twitter and find that I have picked up most of Macleans content there.
Sorry. It’s been a good run with you but it’s time to go our separate ways. 😢

Great writing. Abominable design.
Extremely excellent canadian news source. Abominable design. I’ve never seen anything like it. As close to ‘impossible to read on your phone’ as you could get
Access to electronic Magazine
Have not been able to read the Maclean’s magazine yet. It would be good if the client number needed to access the electronic magazine is sent with the emailed invoice is that the subscriber can enjoy reading.
Very poor service
I bought and paid for a subscription and it took monthes before I was able to access content and monthes before receiving my first issue, which to date still have not. I would likely not renew this subscription.
Very glitchy
I was booted out of this app and unable to log back in despite having an active subscription - neither Maclean’s or Apple could help me get it working again. I don’t recommend the app if you have an IPad.
Want the print magazine back
Really miss the weekly print magazine. I find that reading longer articles on an app just isn’t the same as a print version. Barely use the app.
