User reviews

UI is top notch

Best user interface of any app of its kind. Worth the subscription.

Response from developer

Thank you so much for your kind review and I'm glad you like the UI. It’s great to know it makes the subscription worthwhile. I'll be adding a lot more features in the upcoming months, but if there’s ever a feature you’d like to see added, I’d love to hear your ideas. Enjoy tracking!

Not ready yet

The app says it syncs weight with apple health which is a bit misleading, because all it does is export it. So if you have weight in apple health from a smart scale you will still have to manually enter it everyday into the app. I think the app has potential, but is missing a few key features. However, since you have to subscribe to the app to even be able to see the roadmap I’ll never know if they implement them or plan to, so I likely won’t be back. Why this info isn’t posted to the developers website or socials I’ll never know

Response from developer

Hi jstrick25! Thank you for your feedback. Your suggestion makes a lot of sense. I haven't thought about digital scales as I enter all weight manually. With your feedback, I'm happy to tell you there's a new version available with support to sync your weight from the Apple Health app. If you use a digital scale, Nunch will read and import those to the app! I understand roadmap is not publicly available. I'm considering adding this to the website. As for the app, I plan to make changes by the end of the year or early next year which will allow anyone to read the roadmap at all times. Please feel free to send me any other feedback you have at support@nunch.app. I read and respond to every email I get. I'd be happy if you gave Nunch another try :) - Danijela

Better than other apps

It’s much better than other macro tracking apps I’ve tried! It’s easy to use and nice to look at! I like the different themes to choose. Developer answered my questions and even added a new feature I asked for! so cool

No barcode scanner

Very first item I went to log was not in the “database” and the app doesn’t have a barcode scanner. Part of tracking for me anyway needs it to be quick and easy. Back to Lose It for me. App seems ok otherwise but as soon as I saw that the database was limited and you have to enter foods and values manually every time I’m not going to waste my time exploring the rest of the app.

Unsubscribing: No Ability to Add New Meals with out Nutritional Facts Table.

Most items I choose to eat are not chosen from the food/meal database on Nunch. If an item is not prepackaged, most likely there is not a nutritional facts table to scan. Therefore, you have to build your restaurant meal by each ingredient… maybe I am wrong and there’s a feature I am missing. If so, then that’s an issue too. I cannot find a way to add a restaurant/homemade meal and type in the total macros. Most restaurants have detailed nutritional facts on their website, so it would be great to manually input the values to the app.

If you are eating the same food and know the mass of each ingredient, then this app is perfect for you. If you can’t weigh each ingredient of a salad at Chili’s, then this app may not work for you.

Response from developer

Hi Scotty, thank you for your feedback! I haven't thought about this before, but it does make sense. Nunch now has a feature called "Quick Calories" where you can add just the calories without any additional info. It's useful if you want to log a restaurant meal while eating outside or just quick calories for any reason. Feel free to send me any other feedback suggestions at support@nunch.app. I read and respond to every email I receive. I hope you will give Nunch another try. It's a new app and I know it lacks in features, but I'm doing my best to implement new ones and improve the app! - Danijela
