Updated deleted all of my data

Update: big update deleted all of my data and didn’t fix the problems it already had. Uninstalled.

This is a well-designed macro tracker, and I’ve enjoyed using it. A few improvements would make it even better. I’d like the option to hide or remove the exercise-tracking sections when I don’t use them, automatic switching between light and dark mode, and the ability to change the app language in settings without losing data.

The feedback and bug-reporting buttons also seem not to work, or at least they don’t show a confirmation after submission. It would also help to track cholesterol and sodium across multiple days, or at minimum let users review sodium intake from previous days. Finally, I’d appreciate a lifetime premium purchase option.

Used to Work

I was using this to track intake, and the update deleted everything. No warning or even an apology from the developers. I would have given it five stars otherwise. Disappointing.

Not Connecting To Health

I’m glad that some of the bugs has gotten figured out but it’s still not connecting to the health app for tracking steps and exercise. Would love to get that fixed too!

It was good till it wasn’t

This app was honestly great until the latest update. It now doesn’t save my food, wants to revert back to whatever standard calorie set it wants to, and doesn’t keep my daily food for the day. Like I said it was really good and I was excited to use the new fiber counter but now I’m deleting it. Wouldn’t recommend until they fix whatever is going on with it.

Lost everything, unusable

Was a great app but on the recent update the app reset and I lost all my data. Also, every time I close the app and open it again I lose all my new data. Not able to click on the profile button.

New Update Broke the App

I really liked this app however something has gone terribly wrong with the new update. All of my data was lost and now I have to start over to gain access to the chart information. When I tried to add in new entries, it wouldn’t save. It would shut down if I tried to make updates to my profile. I removed and redownloaded the app since my data was already gone to see if that helped. No such luck. I’ve emailed for app support and no response. Just very disappointing because I really like this app (except when I got a new phone because my data didn’t transfer from the old phone to the new phone so I had to start over again that time too.)

Update lost all my data

Big bummer! All my macro data is gone. App treats me like I a new.

New update deleted all my data

I have been using the app every day for 5 weeks and was so proud to have unlocked the charts after 30 days, only to find with this update all of my logs are gone and it shows me as having a zero day streak and all of my created foods are gone. I added what I had for breakfast and closed the app, only to open it to log lunch and breakfast was gone! The search functionality was already bad but I liked that it didn’t have ads so I kept using it, but unless this is fixed immediately I will be deleting and finding a new app as it is now essentially unusable. Very disappointing.

I loved this app and it was very helpful until this last update.

Update deleted all my stored meals, tracking and all my food items logged over last 6 months +. Even info added yesterday did not save.

Love this app but very buggy

Super easy way to keep track of my macros! I love that fact that it’s completely free and that it is easy to navigate. You get to set your own goals, log all of your food and water, see your intake trends, etc.

One thing, recently when I try to add new foods (foods that I don’t normally consume) it takes about 15 seconds on the loading screen and then the app just goes blank. Nothing on the screen will be accessible and the whole screen is just blacked out. I’m not sure if this is a common bug or not, it’s only started this week but I can’t log some of my meals from this week because of it!

9/9/26 update:
The app updated a lost all of my previous data meaning I now will have to reinput all of my foods because the app is buggy and most items aren’t in the system. Not only that but I wish I had made a back up of my weight loss progress because it was all in the app and now all of that data is gone. I tried to figure out a way to recover it but I didn’t have any luck. If this doesn’t get fixed I will have to switch to a different app which I would prefer not to do- I do love this app. It’s easy to work with and doesn’t require a subscription which are 2 things I need from a macro tracking app!!

Very buggy

I started using this app a few days ago. For a couple of days it seemed fine, and I liked it a lot — simple, focused, easy to use — but then it started resetting to default / discarding all my data each time I launched the app, sending me through the setup wizard each time.

I saw that there was an update today, so I installed it, hoping it addressed that bug. Maybe it did, because I don’t get the setup wizard anymore, but my profile is also still reset to defaults, and I can’t select the Profile tab to fix that — when I try, the tab loads for a split second, then immediately switches itself to the Diary tab.

Too bad, as I evaluated a few calorie and macro tracking apps over the past week or so, and liked MacroTracker the best. But it’s just way too buggy. I’ll find somebody who cares more about app quality to give my money to.

Newest update

Newest update is horrible and it lost all my progress/history and does so everytime I close the app

It’s a good app.

It’s an amazing app. Lost months of hard work due to some error happening and lost everything… but decent app and does what I need

deleted my data

New update deleted my data completely and won't save anything

Wait… go back :(

The update has deleted my progress (I was almost 300 days in) I have lost 45 pounds and the progress chart is gone. I don’t have my saved meals anymore. This app has been amazing for my weight loss journey but it’s like I’m starting at zero again 😭

App doesn't even work

Seems like the search and the picture of meal section aren't working. Everytime I search something simple like "blueberries" nothing pops up. And when I go to scan a picture of my food (a feature I paid for it doesn't work) probably going to restore my purchase cause paying $5 a month for an app that doesn't work is frustrating.

Good but just needs some updating

Update July 5, 2026, still haven’t been able to use the app, and the developer response was basically “oh well it’s working for most people.” While hoping for a patch job or something, I was testing out FitBee during the last month… I love it so much I paid for the lifetime membership. I really really loved this app and was a user for several years before it became unstable and ultimately unusable. I really hope it gets back to where it once was, or improves I know a lot of people still use and love it but it’s already frustrating to have to log what you eat in the first place, even more so when you can’t do it efficiently or accurately.

Update June 1 2026. The app now won’t search any of the database for foods. It literally says no results. I have reached out to the developer several times with no response. I really liked the app but I might have to go to something else’s that’s being supported or updated from time to time.

I really like the app. Frankly it’s one of the best free options on the App Store. I really wish the developer would update a couple of things: 1. The calorie counter is way off, even from its own calculation. For example if you manually enter your steps the calories out are way higher than the app automatically tracks. My wish list here is that it would just import ALL of the data from my Apple Watch. Workouts, steps etc. 2. I can only search the foods when not connected to WiFi. It doesn’t make any sense and the developer hasn’t responded to any bug reports.

Overall I still will use the app. But I really wish it would get a few much needed updates. And I haven’t used any of the ai features and I likely won’t so I can’t speak to that.

My favorite Tracking App-NEEDS A FIBER TAB

I love this app I’ve used it for over a year now. It’s so easy to use and you can save meals for easy meal planning. The macro bars are simple and easy for getting an idea on how you’re doing reaching your goals. Connect your health app to convert steps into calories to track. I use this app every day and the more you use it and save meals the easier it gets.

Time for my one complaint that would get my 5th star- speaking to my dietitian I need to get more fiber. It’s easy tracking my macros but I’d love for a small bar under macros for tracking fiber. It’s essential for gut health and to lower risk of colon cancer. Most people aren’t reaching Fiber intake goals so it would make it so much easier to have a place to track dietary fiber when making meals, quick adds, and the addition of a fiber bar. Since green is taken by carbs maybe make it blue or red. Just so I can track it. I know I need 33 g so it would be so beneficial and easy for easier tracking rather than trying to track somewhere else

Major glitch, again

This is a great app, until it crashes. I have now lost months of data due to the app crashing twice now. All my stored foods and meals completely wiped out.

However; based on a reply I received from the developer, it sounds like an issue that they are working on and hopefully we will have backups soon.

This is a five-star app when I don’t lose my data so I look forward to these changes and raising my review rating once they are implemented.
