Has some flaws
I find it annoying to select the size and length - all the way at the bottom of the screen. I can’t find a way to see if an item is available for store pick up. Im not using the app to make my purchases currently.
Can’t login with my email
I have continued to have the problem of trying to enter my email address and being told it is invalid. It is so frustrating. It only occurs on the app

i’m sorry to the developers but this app is trying to do too much and it’s actually terrible. even worse since the upgrade. when you filter by tall / taller, and then by 27/28, for example, it brings up allllll the standards and petites. the only way to truly filter by tall is to NOT add in any waist sizes. so then you have to click into every single item to see if they have your size. which they never do with talls and tallers. also if you click an item and switch it to tall, then switch it back to regular to read reviews, the reviews disappear. so you have to click out of the item completely and click back in to read reviews. i could go on. i only used it for 5-10 minutes and found so many bugs. please do a thorough QA esp with your filtering system.
also, i’ve said this for like 10 years but i’ll keep saying it— madewell, your obsession final sale, esp with tall sizes, is out. of. control. i’ve avoided buying dozens and dozens of pants on sale bc THEYRE ALWAYS FINAL SALE. in talls. which is outrageous bc talls are always sold out anyway, so it’s not like you’d have trouble selling them. it’s just greedy.

If I could give it zero stars I would. The font is so large it’s illegible making the app unusable.
Not convenient
This app is useless if you cannot ship to store. Please update that feature and I will consider using.
The app sucks
It locks up while signing in and doesn’t allow you to complete the process or go to a different screen. Every time I have downloaded this app there are always issues!!!
Can’t log in
The app won’t even let me log in. It gets frozen on the password screen. I even deleted the app from my phone and started over. Still doesn’t work. Lame

The app times out and looks like a Zara hellscape. I go to Shopbop to purchase Madewell items and if they don’t have what I want I opt for another brand.

This app has been practically useless since September 2025. There had been many updates since then, and yet, Madewell is still unable to get it right.
No sizing charts, not able to check store availability, constantly lagging or the app just completely force quitting. I do not have a store close to me, so most of my shopping had been done online. However, with the app the way it has been, I find myself shopping here less and less.
It really shouldn’t be this hard to get it right.

This app is becoming non functional; this is not the first issue I’ve had where screens won’t load or get stuck. Please fix this - you are actively losing sales and customers because of how bad your app is.
I’ve tried placing an order through the app for the last three days for a pair of boots. It makes me enter the CVC code for the payment I’ve had on file since I first signed up. And then I hit “place order” but nothing happens. It won’t let me place the actual order.

Bad app update
Still unable to sign in to my account in the app, just get a message that the password is invalid. Pointless app if you can’t log in and shop
new app is unusable
I’ve stopped buying items from Madewell because I literally can’t search or make a purchase on the new app. The fonts are huge but photos of items are minuscule. There is no search feature on the app. If I find Madewell items on Shopbop I’ll buy them there instead. Please fix this terrible user experience. You are hemorrhaging customers and the actual website UX is even worse.

Why doesn’t this app work?
Ever since the update in October the app doesn’t work for payment. Lots of calls to tech support and no resolution to issues

No sign in with apple
Downloaded it to try and sign in to place an order but UX is terrible under Account entering email with the assumption user already has an account. No option to sign in with apple. Delete!
