An Absolute Horror Show of an App.
Maybe it should be called Maybebank, when I love Maybank
So.
When she works shes a dream, when she fails shes Georgy Soros’s worst nightmare.
Its like a lot of things in Malaysia, when they work, they’re very very good, but by God, when they don’t, they’re an absolute horror show who’s bureaucratic antics and machinations are liable to the the sanest of men into a psychiatric ward somewhere North of Ipoh, somewhere north of the snail river, The Cape of the Hairy Fruit.
Maybebank how I love to hate to love you. But it could be worse. After all, there are those of us from the analogue age who remember the endless queues and sxtended lunchbreaks to pay bills.
So thank God for small mercies, its better than nothing I guess. And like anything Malaysian, this is a country that actually DOES learn from its mistakes and improves politely and gently.
Just be patient, it takes time but it gets done, eventually.

Barely functional at times
The app is great at pushing ads, but when it comes to secure2u function it almost never successfully prompt the approval page. This hiccup happens over and over again and caused many awkward inconveniences when making payment.
Account show locked when trying to log in after MAE app update
Tried to use the app, prompted to update and after the update, app shows message that account is logged due to ‘multiple log ins’. Same problem when then trying to login to online banking. Forced to reset password and because their app doesn’t work for the authentication, this then requires getting a pin by physically going to the bank ATM. Absolutely too burdensome to force customer reset passwords so frequently. App support link here on store does not actually work, just goes to a page saying their server cannot process. If a bank requires customer to use their app for authentication, the technology should at least be working and not lock the customer out or require customer to change new passwords multiple times a year.

This is definitely 5 star apps. Try to compare with other banking apps.. then you will appreciate MAE and it is definitely way better and well designed
Camera failure
On several occasions I wanted to pay by scanning a barcode using the Maybank app but the camera wasn't working. I had to restart the phone to enable the camera. PLEASE FIX THIS.
So many bugs
How can you trust a bank with your money if they can even get an app working properly🤦
Buggy apps - bad experience
The apps will be closed directly if user selected to upload document for credit card application and leave user with no record to continue the application, so what? User only allowed to take photo? Didn’t even go through a proper test before going online, disgusting experience, please attend physical to their counter for service, never use this apps please

Don’t force updates
I’m trying to pay at a store and all the sudden you force me to update the app because it’s a week old? Unacceptable!
Sometimes unable to make payments as the app won't accept the needed contact number, eg SESB payment

The worst banking app ever, horrible interface filled with useless information, not user friendly. Spamming advertisements all the time. Inaccessible at certain hours.
