Do not use this company. If I could give it zero stars I would. All our stuff was essentially held hostage for a month after we requested it back. Half of it was damaged or completely broken. Customer service is a nightmare. They care more about new clients than existing ones. Be ware - they even try to get you to agree contractually to NOT leave any bad reviews online. That should tell you enough.

makespace lost me hundreds of $$
I signed up for makespace when moving out of my apartment last minute during the pandemic. Because the service is so limited (only can retrieve items from the city they're stored, no shipping), I had to make a separate trip to retrieve my items and move them into a more permanent storage unit. When I went to review the items at a later date, i found that makespace had lost my casper mattress and damaged a bunch of my furniture - despite saying all the boxes were accounted for when they dropped it off. since i moved the boxes from one location to another, they were extremely unhelpful and refused to help me at all regarding the items they lost and damaged. i'm so disappointed with the lack of professionalism and would never recommend this service to anyone.

Major oversight with this app
If you created an account via Facebook on their website there is not option to log in with Facebook on the app. Because I signed up through Facebook I am not able to log in with just my email. Have to resort to using the mobile browser instead.
App is broken and unusable.
There is no way to confirm the pickup on the final checkout page. I’ve tried to set it 4 times now, starting freshly each time, and it’s the same issue every time. I’ve attempted to use their website instead but for some reason the website appointment pricing is almost 7x what it is in the app. I’ll be choosing one of Makespace’s competitors instead.

Amazing drop off!
Victor and James we’re wonderful. Got here in time and unloaded in a second. Both were so nice and helpful. Overall really happy with my experience with MakeSpace!!
Service is amazing, app is absolutely trash
I can’t say enough about the service overall- the movers are all great guys, really good bang for your buck. That being said, the app has so many bugs and is not user friendly at all. It’s literally their one fatal flaw. You log in, and it’s a blank screen and I have to cancel out and then try again. Every time. Also not intuitive as an app at all. Doesn’t make sense where a lot of things are. Need a major update on it! But AGAIN can’t recommend their services enough. I moved from Boston to Madison, WI for 3 months and needed to store my furniture. They came and got my stuff, guys were 10/10, and then when I came back they delivered my stuff promptly, all wrapped up (only two damaged items).

Great service!
My only complaint is a really poor login system. I get logged out of the app at least daily and the only way to log back in is deleting the app and reinstalling it.
Love MakeSpace, not this app
MakeSpace is a great service but the app just stopped working for me. Even after updates, for months I was never able to log in (I’d log in and be stuck at a loading screen forever). Eventually I just deleted the app because it’s easier to just go on the website via Safari.

My appointment was today and Curt maybe Kurt and Alexa were our movers. They were amazing and very helpful. Once my house sells, I will definitely use MakeSpace again. You truly are full service.

I used MakeSpace twice and i would use it again. There were some issues with the delivery but overall they did the job and helped me store my furniture with free delivery and pick up. My TV was broken when it came but i emailed their customer service and they reimbursed me in the next month.
Stuff Delivered Fast and Easy
Jose and Dara were awesome! I managed to type in the wrong delivery address but that was managed quickly and with no hassle whatsoever. They were super friendly and it took them literally 30 seconds to unload my stuff. Thanks to them for the awesome job and their patience!
Great concept, poor execution
In terms of app feedback, scrolling doesn’t work unless you swipe up first, and if you are editing the address details of an appointment the app crashes. In terms of the service itself, the delivery crews are not very professional and there are big gaps in communication between the crews and the rest of the company. Conceptually it’s a great service, but the execution needs a lot of improvement.

App is Great but doesn’t always translate to the real world
If what went in the app actually manifested in the real world, it would be perfect. But despite him putting all the information correctly in the app, the teams seem to continually get and give wrong information. It’s not really the fault of the app, but it seems as though there is some gap in the delivery of services between the app and what actually happens at the warehouse/customer service. Otherwise great.

Convenient until it isn’t...
I really liked them at first, but as others have said, they do a poor job of keeping track of your stuff. I’ve experienced multiple lost items and broken items and their terms of service basically say that anything fragile is not covered by their insurance. Please read their terms before storing your stuff with this company :(

Item lost!! Very bad experience
I put 25 items in makespace. The biggest item was a 9 drawer chest and the company couldn’t find it. And there wasn’t any update after 2 weeks I filed the ticket. The customer support is extremely unhelpful and I strongly encourage people DO NOT use the service cause your stuff might disappear and makespace will not helping you on that.

Great option to move in a big city without a car!!
My fiancé and I needed to move our stuff out of our NYC apartment and into storage in a short amount of time due to COVID and work from home situation. We could not have been more pleased with the service. The app is extremely easy to use and helpful. The movers that came to help were very careful with our stuff and were friendly. The only issue I have with the company is that we were told if you tip your movers through the app, it doesn’t actually go to your movers. So try and tip with cash if possible!!

Best Service Ever!
I was very impressed with Tiffany Johnson and Richard Askew. They let me know when they would arrive and they were at my house when they said. They were very polite and were extremely professional. They moved my things very carefully and inspected every box making sure they were sealed well. Both employees are strong but Ricard impressed me by carrying 2 boxes at once and didn’t even break a sweat 😓 They both gave excellent service and I am hoping to get them again once I move.

MakeSpace was incredibly accommodating, provided their own boxes for free, incredibly respectful and patient during the whole process!! Can’t believe that we got a 5 star service when it’s at such a low price.
The app was incredibly user friendly with very little bugs (when tipping I couldn’t use the backspace - iPhone XR). I could track the drivers, call them directly, tip, get information, etc with incredible ease.

My first time using MySpace for storage purpose. I have no complaint. Great team sent to picked up items. They’re on time and had a lot of patience. Furnitures were handled with care and well packaged. The team kept their promises and worked assiduously to get the job down. I would recommend MySpace on any given day.
