Awesome concept!!
I absolutely love the idea of a quest navigation app. My only problem is that CarPlay is only available in dark mode, which makes it pretty much impossible to see during the daytime. I hope there’s a fix somewhere in the app, or that there will be one soon!
Low Audio, Blends into Music
I am trying this out because I like how specific the directions are. My only complaint right now is that the audio is really low, so if you’re listening to music, you can’t really hear it. Because of that, I haven’t been able to tell if I like it or not.
CarPlay Interface isn’t great
Happy to see MapQuest back and and have an alternative to Waze, but the CarPlay interface sucks and is kind of unsafe.
Mapquest Replacing Waze
Okay, I must say I’m excited to see Mapquest back in my life! This was the OG GPS system while I was in high school and college. But, my only complaint is that my phone runs really hot while I have the app running. Is that a bug or something? Maybe we could get this looked into as soon as possible because I enjoy the app so much and want to continue using it! Thank you (:

CarPlay STILL broken
I want so badly to use and support this app but they broke CarPlay a while back and despite numerous updates nothing has been done to fix it. It’s basically unusable since you have to do everything through your phone and all it does is display on the car screen - no controls whatsoever.
Gulf of Mexico!
I haven’t used the app while driving just yet, so my rating may change, but I’m giving it 5 stars just for the fact that it still says Gulf of Mexico. THANK YOU for not caving to the madness.
Voice issues
Had to give up on the app as the voice commands were breaking up like a poorly tuned radio. Sometimes missed how far before a turn or if I was turning left or right.
Still needs work
I’m finding it difficult to favorite locations from the app. The app is better but still needs work.

I really want to like it!
The visuals, the whimsy, and the overall vibe of MapQuest is five stars. The actual application and its functionality has significant room for improvement. The voice navigation doesn’t lower the volume of my music, so It speaks at the same volume and you miss the audio cues all together. It doesn’t have a Live Events feature, so if you have another app open, you will miss cues entirely. There is only one realistic voice model of a lady and it’s fine, but I can’t hear it over my YouTube Music app. It gave a good route, but there are some community-based reporting features that would be nice to have. Things like speed trap reporting, construction, lane closures, slowdowns etc. aren’t really in this app yet.

Mapquest GPS
Great simple GPS app, too bad it cost $4.99 a month to get rid of the ads. Apple has free maps app without the ads or cost … It’s a no brainer to me.
Waste of gas
Avoid tolls setting doesn’t work, routes are ridiculous and as 5-10 miles to your commute, still talks when you’re on a call, and constantly drifts away from where you are and you have to recent the screen. I’ve only used it for a week and my gas usage has been significantly more this week than the past. Don’t bother.

2nd time opening app I get bombarded with ads that have hidden close buttons. Ads seem scammy so this app is getting removed off my phone. Had high hopes.
User Error or Just Bad??
So I downloaded this app since I stopped using Waze. I enter in the address to where I want to go, click the green directions button, and no directions are given. Not sure if I am doing something wrong but I never got any directions. Only the option to add another location. So unfortunately I did delete the app. Maybe next time.

Love this app
I wanted to get away from Google, Waze, and Apple because of recent political support. When I heard Mapquest was still around and had an app I researched their political history and was happy with what I found: not much plus Clowning on Gulf of Mexico name change. So I gave it a try and I’m so happy with it. Highly recommend for anyone in the same situation. P.s I also love the Questie avatars so much!

Amazing and cute app lacking EV support
Amazing application for maps and I really love the 8-bit aesthetic, but there’s no real support for finding EV stations along routes
Only one thing
I downloaded this as a replacement for Waze. The app itself is great and I love that Mapquest is back on the radar but you can’t report police activity or accidents like you can on Waze. That’s really the main reason I used anything other than Apple Maps. Add that feature and this app is golden 👌 Also the little avatars are so cute

I think this Apple will be way much better. If you guys add in checkpoints to make people know if it’s a block ahead I think it’ll be much better if we add in a speed limit indicator on the app and I think it’ll be much better than waves if you add a automatic turn on where the app stays on while you driving so you will know ahead if there’s any checkpoints or any collisions ahead or anything blocking the road way

Awesome!
This app is freaking awesome! I didn’t know MapQuest was still around until I saw a TikTokker talk about it. The Questies are adorable. I do wish there were more of them but, small problem. The graphics are amazing and super cute! I wish it was totally free but, I understand the developers need money. The ads aren’t terrible or tons of them so, it’s fine. All around great navigation app! PS…. I don’t normally write reviews for apps but thought this one deserved some kudos.
