Love the alternative- still some kinks
I was so glad to support this nostalgic brand after they refused to alter names that have no business being changed. I’m committed to this app, but for the developers, there are still some bugs (iOS feedback) Sometimes (not always) it will stay location tracking in the background even if you’ve hard closed it out. Also, if you have it set for directions, if you don’t hit ‘ok’ once quest is complete, it stays location tracking. Please please fix these. Also, if you can add in public transportation options, you’ll keep me from having to use Google Maps when I’m traveling.

I’m exploring these Mapquest app and so far I’m loving it!
Has potential
So far the map is good. Love they are listening to the suggestions from users. BUT I am starting to believe others about these maps are in on wanting people to use more gas. The route suggestions are never the shortest route. For instance I know my job is 14 miles away basically an almost straight way but the map always gives a route that’s 25 miles same amount of time now why would I want to drive an extra 11 miles if it’s the same amount of time . I notice mapquest and others do this a lot now

Better than Apple or Google
Clear precise directions without trying to change the platform to appease a toddler who is a petulant president who needs to be in preschool NOT where he is.. Thanks for keeping America honest even if the inbreed supporters of Apple and Google don’t!!

There was a time, just shortly after the days of Perly’s when I embraced the “new” technology of MapQuest. Unlike the resurgence of low rise jeans, I’m so happy to see them back!

Deleted Google Maps and was hoping MapQuest would be at least as good and really hoping it would rock. Wrong on both accounts. Omg - It’s terrible! Will delete this one, too.
Enjoy using this app
I’ve enjoyed using this app ever since I deleted Google maps and Apple maps. It is accurate. I love the cute icons. I will continue using forever.
Need critical features
Please add a setting to disable auto launch on my phone when connecting to CarPlay. It is super annoying.
I love Mapquest!
I’m so happy Mapquest has revived! I do find some lag issues, but I expect the devs will work out those issues promptly! Corgi bum bouncing all over my maps display is such a sweet highlight to my day!
Great Map App
MapQuest is the OG. It works incredibly well. I’m so happy to use a map made by someone who doesn’t bow the knee to fascist.

My truck has a day and night sensor. When it’s sunny my screen gets bright and when it’s dark it goes on dark mode. But Mapquest doesn’t have that option. Can you update it so it goes bright on the screen when the sun hits my dash sensor. And when it’s cloudy or dark my screen goes on dark mode. Thank you again.

Getting better!
I am new to MapQuest so I had features I was used to so it was an adjustment switching. It is quickly becoming just as easy as other apps I am familiar with. Also I’m learning it has all the features I need. Loving this app and so happy I found it. I deleted my old app. 👍
Gulf of sanity!
Thank goodness for Mapquest!!! I remember my parents printing out directions to get us from A to Z and I’m so glad to be back! I will forever use Mapquest as long as they don’t cave to the orange Cheeto!!!
Spyware/Nagware
I tried downloading this recently after seeing all the stuff in the news about MapQuest still being around and being a viable solution, rather than the privacy-intrusive Google Maps. Unfortunately, even after trying all the different settings (Live Events and something else I can’t recall now), I still found it “spying” on me every time I would connect the phone to the car and ask if I wanted to use it to navigate. No! If I wanted that, I would have launched the application! Anyway, I couldn’t find the setting to disable that annoyance so I ended up deleting the app. Too bad.

Not perfect but the best
I’ll be honest I came because of the stance they took on ridiculous name changes. (Woot woot Lake Ontario). But quickly realized that this app brings the right level of whimsy I want in my map apps. I want to complete quests and have animals march across map. I love that addresses I’ve saved are treasure. In the boring but also important aspect of usability. They also have rapidly been expanding their function. Looking forward to seeing the whimsy grow!

Very good!
The other day my Apple Maps took me on a wild goose chase to get home and kept directing me onto highways closed because of construction. I then remembered I had Mapquest downloaded and gave it a try. Not only did it avoid closed off highways, but I liked the way it navigated better. Will keep using!

Different views needed
I’d love to see a view where I can see what’s actually around me. For example, greenery, lakes, houses, stores. Immerse me in the map.
Need to update
Takes much longer route. Needs to update database. Could not find a place on map when I am literally at the place. Hours not updated as well. No option to see street view like Google Maps. I want to love/keep this app but cannot if it does not function well
