Questies are so cute

Okay so first of all my dad loves d and d so when I showed him this app he loved it! Also I love the cute little Questies I’m also double digits and finally finding this adorable app melted down my heart. I love the CUTE little UNICORN!🦄🦄🦄🦄🦄🥰🥰🥰

Are you kidding?

My app updated when I got my new phone. Talk about culture shock! The new format is anything but intuitive. How do I need collections? I’d rather see a list of favorites, places I visit often enough, but not often enough to be able to go right to them without MapQuest. Those useful shortcuts are in one line that I have to scroll through. In the old MapQuest, there was a nice list. I could see quite a few of them at a glance. I have yet to figure out how to get rid of the collections. The old MapQuest showed all your trip options right after you search. Now to get to your options, you choose directions. That used to be for just figuring out the distance between places. No, there’s no intuitiveness here. I don’t even like the look of it. And I’m paying a premium each month. I would like to have my old MapQuest, which I had recommended many times. I do not recommend or like or appreciate the new MapQuest. In fact, it’s a pain. I wish there was at least some option to have some of the old features. Old school and new school do not like the same things. Is that OK? 😡

trash

the mapquest app is trash it give you wrong driving directions

Confused 😵‍💫

I’ve given MapQuest multiple chances, but the navigation instructions are genuinely confusing and have now made me late more than once.

The app repeatedly counts down to street names that aren’t actual turns, making it look like you’re supposed to exit. It also displays vague instructions like “Exit (right)” without providing an exit number, even when there are multiple right exits. Drivers shouldn’t have to guess which exit to take.

If I’m supposed to stay on the freeway, tell me “Stay on I-45” or “Keep right to continue on I-45.” If I’m supposed to exit, tell me the exit number and destination. Don’t count down to random street names or display ambiguous instructions that can easily be misinterpreted.

This has added 20+ minutes to my commute twice because the app failed to provide clear guidance. Navigation apps are supposed to reduce stress, not create it. Until this is fixed, I can’t recommend using MapQuest.

No Landscape mode

Using the app on an iPad is not of much use because it doesn’t work in Landscape mode. Only Portrait is available, so the Bluetooth can’t be used. In app of Mapquest’s age that should dance been resolved by now.

Decent performance

This is a decent app however it is a bit slow, which is why I didn’t give it 5 stars. However, the ads aren’t too bad and it works well enough. And the questie characters are a cute addition.

App won’t close

Not only did I get wrong directions in the past, nothing like being on dark country roads with no street lights but now the app won’t close! I will be deleting this app, not sure if I will reinstall.

Login set up account

Once you put the phone code in it does not continue logging you in

gives you directions alright…

it’s very cute and nicely put together but while i was on the way to a doctors appointment it landed me in a neighborhood making me late. the app glitched out and redirected us while saying it was 0 minutes away. then when i tried to submit feedback for that the button did not work :(

Gulf of Mexico is why I am here

The big tech companies changing their maps to shape the reality of whoever is in the government is wild to me.

Anyways, this app has little dudes you can be. My niece asked what app this was and loved it.

No Private Roads Please

I recently travelled to Maine and while using the MapQuest app to navigate a fairly short distance it sent me down a clearly marked private road! I turned around after getting a look from someone talking a walk.
I don’t know if this road would have taken me where I wanted to go, but the app should not be programmed to take private roads.

Could be Great if not for Serious CarPlay Glitch

Cannot use the CarPlay screen to search for a location, access saved locations, or anything else. One must start navigation with MapQuest on iPhone and then CarPlay picks up and works, but only for that specific route. This really renders Mapquest all but useless in CarPlay which is intended to allow one not to leave pick up and use one’s phone while driving. A fix is needed.

I don’t know yet

The latest update/version wiped out my planned trip, is there anyway I can retrieve all the information I had saved.

Good gps app but big problem

No matter what i do it wont actually close the application and is obviously a big drain on my battery. so the only thing I’ve been able to do to end application is to delete the app. And having to delete every time i want to actually close the app is too much of an aggravation

I use it a lot

Can be kind of
Glitchy. At inopportune times freezes up. And adds pop all the time and it is difficult to simply just
Get directions.

Last update ruined this app

This used to be my go to navigation app until the last update. The last two times I used it it didn’t work and I had to use Waze instead. Tried to put in a destination address that has been there for forty years, it just froze up. Second time told me to turn right into the wrong shopping center and then led me around in circles and told me I was at my destination when I wasn’t. I don’t know what you guys did to this app, I’ll be looking for alternatives.

Please revert back to the old Mapquest

This is awful and is now just a google map clone. User interface is cartoonish and not intuitive. Old features are lost to me. Trip planning is non existent. Ease of changing routes before starting is gone. Popups have taken over.

Bring back the free version

The new version is awful. It forces you to pay a subscription to get rid of all the annoying pop up ads. I greatly prefer the old, FREE version. It was accurate and easy to use. I don’t need to play games, I just want to get to unfamiliar locations.

Headed in the Right Direction

I could see this app becoming the next WAZE, of course one that isn’t Google. However, it’s in the early stages still and needs some more polish and features. I even wouldn’t mind paying the extra to remove the ads and support the product if it provided a few more modern features and fixed the issue of the traversed line not disappearing during navigation on CarPlay. I’m really excited for this app, but it’s needs more features to keep people from giving up and resorting to Google Maps. (By more features, I don’t mean an AI chatbot or AI bloat in general). Great job Map Quest! Please keep going!
