Great for weekend exploring!
This app has been great! As I scroll thru Instagram or Facebook, people leave reviews of places to check out. I used to take screenshots to try to remember the local gems, but Mapstr has made that SO much easier! Love it!!

J’adore cette application, ayant très peu de mémoire c’est génial d’avoir toutes mes adresses regroupées à un seul endroit et de pouvoir en chercher des nouvelles sur d’autres cartes. C’est interactif et facile d’utilisation. Mais par pitiééé, mettez en place des pubs ou un autre modèle économique qui ne nous oblige pas à prendre un abonnement parce que personnellement je ne payerai pas un abonnement pour une app que j’utilise à peine 1x par semaine et je n’ai pas envie de supprimer l’app

Merci Laure! Ça fait 10 ans qu’on cherche des alternatives, et on a choisi la plus pérenne à date, mais on est preneur d’autres idées bien sûr !! La pub ne marche pas sur une app que vous utilisez 1x par semaine :)
No better than Google Maps / Charged me $50 for a free trial
Save your money, Google Maps and other similar apps are entirely free. You also can’t turn off the google locations from this app - so on top of any locations you saved, a bunch of needless Google “Points of Interest” clog your screen. Additionally, I selected the free trial and it charged me $50. I reached out to Mapstr within minutes of it charging me $50 and they ignored my support request.

The developer asked me to update my review, based on their response. Initially, I did not get a response to several emails I had sent with questions and I only heard back when I left a review. They said they did not receive my emails. I sent them screenshots showing my emails sent to them. Didn’t get a response to that. Okay, now that they answered my questions: Can I have the icon for a location be both a color and an image by default so when I create new pins, then I don’t have to keep recreating the wheel. No plan to do this. Asked about a select all pins option (to make changes to pins) - don’t have but may at some point in the future. But my largest issue was when I was in the Palouse region (SW Washington) for one week, I had several instances where my pins completely disappeared from the map, and I had no idea where I was going and had to use street maps for navigation (like in the good old days). This is what their website says about offline maps: “If you're abroad or in an area without a network, your Map remains accessible even without an Internet connection”. I definitely did not experience that. I think to get true offline you need something more substantial than an app. Overall it is a bit better than the app I came from that lost pins of mine. I honestly say you should not trust any third party with your pins, back up on Google Maps or a spreadsheet. I learned that the hard way.
